QUESTION- Once you have your design (like the one above) how do you get onto a t-shirt....I know Iron ons work....but do the get the job done? WIll the iron ons fall off? and is their any other options of getting the image on the t-shirt? (keep in mind i will be making 11 of these, yes 11 there has been a chanege of plans for 1 :( ) Thanks everyoen!

I've gotten great response! 11 PM's :)
I'll be messaging the first 3 in a few hours. I don't have time to read them all right now. If possible, I'll try to do more than the 3. I'll just have to let you know.

:goodvibes

Silly to quote myself but...

OK! I'll try and do them all :D

I hate turning anyone down. So you who I just PM'd back, ignore those PM's and I'll try and get you something. I'll be doing them in order received (except for the one who's birthday is in a few days)

Thanks MidNite.
I love this thread.
When I learn how to post pictures.
I'll post a few of my boo boo's.
Some are :rotfl2: funny.
misplaced clip art.
Blurry prints.

We are going down with some other family members in January 05 for an early birthday trip for DD who will turn 5 shortly after we get back.

My mother and I were talking about making everyone a customized tee for our trip and giving it to them as a Xmas gift.

Thanks for all the ideas,

Missy

I Don't Know I am going to be buying the transfers on Tuesday and working on it this weekend-- I do know that I will do a "practice"shirt first to see the right heat, time etc.... but I will let you know what happens.

What is the best transfer paper to use? I had tried to do shirts years ago and had major trouble with the paper

I LOVE that picture! Do you have the actual postcard? Sorry, I don't know what scraplifted means. Would it be possible for you to email me the image or tell me where I can find it? Please? :flower: If you can, I will PM you with my email address. Thanks.

I do have the actual post card, that I have scanned. I PM'd you about that-- Scraplift is just a nice way of saying stealing to use in a creative way ;)

You can also say appropriate. That's what artists do. :) Just don't try to get them printed at Cafepress or any other commercial printer.

I've tried and tried and still don't get how to use the clipart and fonts - where to save them, how to get them, what printshop to use???? Any help would be great!!!

I always right click on the clipart and click Save Picture As. You need to pick a place where to put the file (My Pictures, My Documents, etc.). Do you have printshop software downloaded on your computer? You should be able to import images to the program. If you post what program you have maybe someone here has the same one and can help you figure it out.

As for fonts, you have to download those from a website. It's hit or miss with me when I try to do it. Somehow I did get Walt Disney's font downloaded, but I don't have a clue how I did it. I'm clueless when it comes to zip files.

I can help with fonts! I download all my fonts from www.dafont.com there they have many awsome fonts...including Disney!
here are the steps to succesfully downloading a font!

1. go to www.dafont.com

6. Click control panel (A link in your start menu)
7. Click "appearences and themes"
8. Click fonts (on the left hand side bar)
9. Click your extracted file (ohterwise known as a font, hehe) and drop it into the "font" folder
10. You have now succesfully downlaoded a font!

Hope i helped someone download a font! :earboy2:

I have used Print 'n Press transfer paper by June Tailor. I had very good luck with it so far..I also bought Hewlett Packard transfer paper for darker color shirts...haven't tried it yet.

MidNite ~ You're designs look great! Where are you getting your character pictures? They look better than the ones I've been finding online.
