Just got home from the ER with Brantley-Kate. She is still vomiting and having diarrhea. Gave her an IV and Phenergan. Also changed the antibiotic for her sinus infection and did breathing treatments. Poor thing has lost 4 pounds this week. Gotta go, she's sick again.

That is awful! Lots of and to you guys.

I know. Glad the tag fairy's not around. Geez! I mean a total DORK!!!! BTW, I lived in Sapporo (it's where they held the 1972 Winter Olympics- boy was it COLD for my Southern bones) on the Northern Island of Hokkaido. I went my junior year in HS, then worked in DC for Senator Howell Heflin in college. Had great aspirations for politics or public policy. Met DH, got married, and had triplets!

That politics will come in handy as the three grow up.. believe me!

My day started off ok, got to sleep in and then headed out to shop. Even the shopping went well and I think I've pretty much finished my Christmas shopping. That's when the day turned for the worse. I was checking out of the last store, planning to go home and wrap. DH called and told me that Colby (ds3) had cut his face while riding the snowmobile with dh. It was bad enough that he thought we should take him to the ER. He required 5 stitches. We had to wait nearly 2 hours to be seen, then had to physically hold him down while they numbed the area and did the stitches. He has been out of it since. He is just laying around. The area of his face (cheek area to the left of his mouth) is really swollen as is his lip. It seemed to swell after all the numbing shots (and there were tons). He is drooling all over himself. Poor little guy. It was such a freak accident. They were riding on our lawn and hit a little bump. He slid forward and hit his cheek on the toggle switch for the handwarmers. They hadn't been outside for more than 10 minutes. We ride all winter long (we all wear helmets on the trails) and we have never gotten hurt. DH didn't put his helmet on as they were staying on the lawn and not riding hard or fast. Now we know that we must all wear helmets all the time. He in now on antibiotic 3 times a day and we have to go back in 2 days for a suture check and on Friday to have them removed. Looks like my week just got a little busier.

She's too small to lose 4 pounds in one week!!! She's been sick for too long, I hope she feels better soon. I never like it when kids are sick (or have stitches!)

Thanks guys. She really loves Disney, but doesn't have the money to vacation there. I usually bring her back a shirt when we go, but thought it would make a good gift. The cost is minimal. 4 x 6" transfer sheets were 15 sheets for $0.25 (SIL lucked into big clearance at Walmart). The shirt was $0.90 at Kmart so my biggest cost is ink. I love inexpensive, yet nice gifts.

Hello Marti. Colby was pretty miserable in the photo. He took a bath and got the bandaid wet so we had to remove it to change it and he wasn't very happy. He did very well considering all that he went through today. He's sleeping well now and I'm about to join him. Hopefully he'll be back to himself tomorrow.
