Why oh why are the DDA always plagued with PC problems?? I just managed to delete everything on my DHs second hard drive... don't ask how long story - but it includes all of our digital photos from our 2003 WDW trip and our kittens and friends weddings...everything except the recent trip which are on my laptop...

I realised what I had done and calmly searched google for a recovery programme... it located all the files and then said I had to pay £35 to retrieve them... now I would usually continue to search until I found something for free - but thought hey my photos are worth far more that £35... at which point it hit me what I had done and I spent the next half an hour in tears!!! :scared1: :badpc: :sad2: :sad1:

The programme seems to be working though - if not very slowly - and fingers crossed there will be enough space on the other hard drive to recover them all to.

I don't need this stress today - I'm too tired from the xmas festivities!

I need some PD to make sure it all comes out ok :sad2:

:wizard: :wizard: Oh My!! I hope it works. I bet you'd like to do this :badpc: :badpc: right about now.

Christopher used to get really bad diaper rashes whenever he had oranges, tomato based products, or took antibiotics. Our pediatrician recommended this powder stuff called Domeboro (I think that's how it's spelled). You mix it with water and soak a rag or gauze in it, then you put it in the diaper for about 15-20 minutes. It worked wonders for him. Our pharmacy kept it behind the counter.

Thanks, I'll have to look for that! The onset of the rash is always the worst, and bad mommy that I am had her in tights on Christmas, so it really got heated up. She was screaming her head off, and we couldn't figure out why. Poor baby. I felt terrible. :guilty:

So, is a runny nose corelated to a runny diaper? Man, Alyssa keeps having these runny explosions (5-6 times a day) and she's got a bad diaper rash now too. She's been a really picky eater lately, but any advice on what I can feed her to solidify things?

Sorry so gross,
Amy :)

Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. Yogurt is good, too. If she'll eat cheese sticks, those work fast.

Good luck. There's nothing worse than a child with a sore bottom.

I'm looking for some appetizer recipes, too. I'm having some company over for New Year's Eve and we're all on low carb diets. Anyone have some yummy low carb options?

Mine is Disney "Scene It" with a DVD movie to play along with it.....

Runny nose defenitely causes the runny diapers and diaper rash. I agree on the bananas and yogurt......try those cheese sticks also or any cheese products. For the diaper rash I always used corn starch.....even now when my boys get "jock rash" from sweating I keep a kitchen size box of straight corn starch in the bathroom to use on it.

I just looked in the boxes, and our Disney Scene-It has kids cards, but the TV and movie versions do not. The movie version is actually pretty hard!

Alyssa had a cheese sandwich for lunch! Thanks for the corn starch suggestion too.

That's the safest place to be! I think New Year's is too over-hyped. I've spent most of them at home in my 33 years. :teeth:

I can't stay on today - it is my and Skunka's anniversary. We are taking Matt to see Narnia and then our friends will watch him while we head out to dinner. See you all later tonight or tomorrow!!

Denise - good luck with the MIL. I'm fortunate not to have to deal with things like that. :wizard:

Happy Anniversary Marti and Paul!!

How many years?

Can you let her run around diaper less? If you can that is the fastest way I got rid of Cassidy's nasty diaper rashes....if not all that food will help the runs and then you can let her run with her tooshie free!!

We've been trying to let her air out as often as possible. She peed on my MIL's floor on Christmas. Luckily, it wasn't the carpet! :teeth:

I hope all this potty talk isn't scaring anyone away today. :rotfl:

I have a recipe for a yummy low carb rasberry chocolate mousse. It is my favorite low carb dessert. I also have a recipe for a low carb frozen treat that looks like hershey's kisses. I'll dig them out (I'll need them next week anyway :goodvibes ) and post tonight.

Amy - I always used vaseline on my kids' bottoms. It forms a barrier so liquids run off and can't burn the tender skin. Neither one ever had a diaper rash!

I'm working at the restaurant on New Year's Eve. Cocktail waitress :cool1: .. Should be a good tip night. I'll be out of there by 10 PM as the restaurant closes at 9:30 PM. I'll come home for food and games with my family and we'll ring in the New Year together. I can't think of a more perfect way to end one year and welcome another.

I'll try to get Tink in, but DD is really more into the flower fairies by Cecily Mary Baker (I think that's her name). I'm cross stitching a couple of the fairies for her to hang in her room. We're not going to have her party till Spring, so I've got some time to plan.

We're definitely going to do fairy cakes, though. I have a mini muffin tin, and I think I'll make a whole bunch of mini cupcakes and let the girls decorate those for one of the activities. We're also going to make fairy dust. My SIL is coming to teach them how to weave daisy chains, so that should be fun. Then I'll try to come up with a luncheon idea for the little girls involving "tea" and fairy cakes. DD's favorite drink is hot Ribena, so we'll serve that in her mini tea set.

Even though the pary isn't for quite a while, I like to plan and plan things out. It gives me something to look forward to. I welcome any and all suggestions.

Sounds like it's going to be a fantastic party. If I think of anything else fairy I'll let you know :goodvibes

I am so sorry. Come see me and my family instead; we're 20 minutes south of Bham. Seriously, though, I work off of 280 in Bham; want to do lunch just so you can escape for a few minutes? PM me if you think you can get away.

My in-laws are coming tomorrow afternoon or I'd offer to meet up for dinner instead. Unlike you, I'm actually looking forward to seeing them. DH actually did "marry his mother;" we like many of the same things from hobbies to vacation spots (DVC all the way) to what we order in restaurants. It's almost scary!
I go to my sister's house via 280. We go down 65 to 459 and cut over to 280 to Sylacauga.

We had an old plastic shower curtain that we used....Cassidy had one that lasted a week even with creams(after it stopped bleeding) and other dr. approved methods....so she loved the fact she could run around without diapers AND watch TV she was in baby heaven I think.

We will do what we do most years...sparkling apple cider, lots of snacks, movies and welcoming in the new year with the girls.

No, she forbid DH from dating me because I didn't let her run me over (she's a very dominant woman). So we just dated behind their backs, although they "knew". Anyway, DH told them he was proposing in October. They said they didn't want anything to do with him anymore (BTW, DH has never met his dad's parents as my MIL forbid THEM from having anything to do with "her" family... long history of serious problems with her). Well, DH was very popular and all his friend's parents threw us several BIG showers (one of his friend's dad was mayor). She kind of HAD to come around to save face. She is completely two faced and vicious. I cannot stand her, and my FIL just is a big patsy and goes along with her and never says ANYTHING.
Sounds like your mother-in-law and mine would be best chums. We should have gotten them matching brooms for Christmas.
