We make Denise's pretzel's with a round pretzel and white and chocolate bark - it is pretty easy - I am not sure if the chocolate bark would eliminate the peanut issue

when we can't find the circle pretzels - we just use regular mini ones and they work just fine - Julia loves them b/c on the back they look like Mickey Mouse

Clare - loved the pictures. I think my favorites are the black & whites - especially on the one that DH is behind you and you are laughing. Love it!

Hi everybody!

Just wanted to say hello before off to bed.I have been so busy this weekend.
Tomorrow is Erich's last day before Christmas break. His class sold ponsiettas and raised money to shop for 6 needy kids they adopted. So tomorrow morning there will be around 69 5th graders in Walmart! OY!:earseek: TG I'll only be in charge of 4!! After we're done shopping we'll be going back to school to wrap the gifts then have pizza and a party.I made 4 dozen cookies tonight.I'd never done it before but I made cookies from cake mix.Love them, they're so easy and quick to do. Perfect for school kids!

I also made these dough (non edible) ornaments for Erich's teachers...they sorta look like each teacher! :teeth:

Mr Goodson (he really is short!) Mrs Evatt (she's a doll in RL,her favorite color is purple),Mrs Ross (she has a frog on her shirt, she's the Science teacher) And Mrs Oliver (she's about 6 ft tall,is a rabid Tennessee fan and has curly blonde hair...we call it disco ball hair!!! :rotfl:

That looks much better!

Can you do that in photoimpact?? I have a trial copy of photoshop cs and I know how to do it in there... I was thinking of how I could find a way to get a real copy of CS and lay photoimpact to rest... but now I may stick with it. I can see it does most of what photoshop does - but can't for the life of me work out how to add in new layers - without copying and pasting in new items... :confused3
I just pasted two copies of the picture in and made one black and white and then erased all but the flowers out of the color picture - Ctrl+D duplicates a layer

Thanks for the tip - I'll have a play later in the week...

I have another grandma story for you all!!!

Yesterday we stopped to visit her with my parents on a way to a Christmas Party - Julia had on her Christmas dress and cape and her hair was done up in a cute little matching bow - I THOUGHT she looked gorgeous

as my grandma is hugging Julia goodbye she says:

You have such gorgeous hair - its a shame your mother doesn't do it right?!?!

***??? :confused3

My parents were just cracking up!! I think I might send Julia to my grandma to do her hair for Chirstmas!! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: thats funny! If I were you, I would send her a new pair of glasses and a note that said can't wait to "see" you again! :rotfl:

Look on ebay, you'll find it there!

Hello everyone.
I'm just catching up on the chat from last night - wanted to send :grouphug: to BK and Colby - hope they're both on the mend.

:rotfl: to Kate's grandma - she's hysterical! You should hire her out :rotfl2:

I managed to reload my photos to a different site - so if anyone is interested in seeing more photos of my wedding go here: http://www.pixagogo.com/6035375161

And finally welcome back Jennifer - see you've been catching up :teeth: can't wait to read your trip report.

Clare -

What wonderful pictures. I think my favorite is the two of you in front of the water giggling at each other. The candids are my favorite (but don't tell Kate's grandma).

I have a couple of errands to run and you will probably hit the new milestone while I am gone. I am going to check and see if the data recovery is finished for my laptop. Then I am taking laptop to Best Buy to see if they can fix, and I think I am going ahead to buy a new one. If they can fix old, it will go to DS. He has had a ton of research to do.

Then home to cook. BF has back surgery tomorrow so I am making lasagna, Italian Beef and Taco salads for her family for dinners this week (and a butter cake for dessert). While I am at it, I am doing exactly the same for my family (why cook 1 when you can cook 2).

I'll check in later.

Hope BK and Colby are feeling better.

Jennifer,

Congrats on DH being interested in DVC. We made our first trip "home" last month and have already booked next year's. I have to pay off these points before I can get more according to DH. Oh well.

Buy as soon as you can. You'll never regret it.

Thank you! That's what I told him, after he started asking. I said that everyone just wishes they'd have bought sooner. He kept asking if I thought they'd just continue to go up, and when I told him they may (espeically since it's being pushed so heavily right now), that's when he made the graduation comment. I was shocked! I had NO intention of pushing and pouting any time soon :rotfl:

Denise How is BK today? hope she is starting to pull out of it.

Colby is very quiet today. He hasn't eaten much. His cheek is still really swollen and I'm sure it hurts to eat though he isn't complaining of pain.

We made the pretzel treats today. Made some with kisses & m&m's, some with rolo's & peanuts, some with orange kisses & m&m's, some with caramel creams & m&m's. DH came home and tried them. He's says they're trouble as he won't be able to stop eating them. :rotfl: I'm sending some to school tomorrow for the kids parties.

Deb, are you giving him children's motrin? I love how that kills pain. No need for suffering this day and age. I swear by it for pain. We had a gazillion ear aches and always painful, this stuff was my lifesaver!

Sitting by the window of her convent, Sister Barbara opened a letter from home one evening. Inside the letter was a $100 bill her parents had sent.

Sister Barbara smiled at the gesture. As she read the letter by the window, she noticed a shabbily dressed stranger leaning against the lamp post below.

Quickly, she wrote, "Don't despair. Sister Barbara," on a piece of paper, wrapped the $100 bill in it, got the man's attention and tossed it out the window to him. The stranger picked it up, and with a puzzled expression and a tip of his hat, went off down the street.

The next day, Sister Barbara was told that a man was at her door, insisting on seeing her. She went down, and found the stranger waiting. Without a word, he handed her a huge wad of $100 bills.

"What's this?" she asked. "That's the $8,000 you have coming Sister," he replied. "Don't Despair paid 80-to-1."
