Thanks, everyone.

this comes and goes, but is very frustrating. Thank goodness for pain medicine :rotfl:
actually some times heat works better for me then ice. What kind of meds do you have. Aleeve works real good especially if you take it at night then go to bed. in the morn your not as sore. In my experience.

It is not the problem of eating. The problem is peanut allergies, lots of doctors, allergists, etc. suggest avoiding peanut butter til after the age of 3 due to it causing an allergy to peanuts. I know in the past most kids were eating it from before they could walk but reccently more and more people have been allergic to it and so it is a precaution recommeneded by most doctors.

Becky

My pediatrician is old school. Colby has been eating peanuts for over a year now and he just turned 3. The only thing he said not to give him too young was honey. I guess we must have been lucky, no allegies at all yet for any of the boys.

Ok, Rees lost his 2nd tooth tonight (on Tacos!) and promptly swallowed it. I don't know if the tooth fairy will ever get a tooth!

He still feels like crud, now I'm coughing non-stop and running a fever. My chest really hurts again. I finished unpacking and doing 7 loads of laundry and ironing all of it tonight. It's 34 degrees and raining... please pray it sleets/snows/ices tonight so school is closed and I don't have to get up to take Davis and Brantley-Kate!

Night.

Just a quick break to tell you all things are going well here!

We found a piece of thick plywood in the cellar. :) It's working like a champ!

I've seen the news ... and the weather is NOT looking good! Thank heavens we aren't flying tomorrow. (original plan!)

I just asked DH if we have GAS for the snowblower. He says, I don't think so -- I'll just go out in the morning! I say, "and just HOW to do propose to get to the car!!!!!". Oy I sent him OUT NOW!!!

I'm a little wistful. I bought snowshoes for DS and I would LOVE for him to have a chance to try them out!!! I know we'll have more snow ... but I can't wait for him to try them!

Has anyone been to the Disney on Ice Princess show? I got my secret squirrel presale code in the mail today and am trying to decide whether to go.

GO!! GO!! GO!! Both of my kids loved it!!

Hey AMY,
Since most of us don't live in the same city with you like kate and jennifer. I think you should post month by month pictures of your belly so we can all experience your Pregancy with you.

Since this is leftovers from an auto accident, (luckily only my back bumper was ripped off), depending how much I am hurting, it could be just Bayer Back and Body or a tens unit that I sometimes use. While in WDW I was using lidoderm patches and at night using prescription meds so I could sleep.
I sometimes use ice and then heat. I even turn the temp in the shower from very cold to very hot a few times and stretch, calms me down for a while.

OK, Brendita -- you CANNOT leave us hanging like that!
As to why we were tear gassed the last time I was in DC.
My 1st DH was born & raised in Iran (not Iranian).
We went to DC the last time the Shah of Iran was here before his passing.
My XDH was Vice President of The Assyrian American Culture Club in Chicago.
A group of us went to DC to support the Shahs visit.
A riot broke out.
Need I say more.
This was in the middle 70's.
I can't tell you how beautiful Iran was then.

Would all you DDA'ers please stop wishing for snow? We got dumped on yesterday and ended up with 12 inches. It's pretty pathetic watching your 6 year old trying to break a trail to the house from the bus stop. Luckily, it's stopped snowing and the sun is shining today, but it is extremely cold here.

If you all want the snow, please come and get it! I'm done for the winter!

I'm about 50 pages back, but I totally agree. I'm waiting to be hit with the storm that is about 30 miles west. :cold: The weatherman said it should be here by midnight. Boo snow. I have a party on Sunday for 90 people. And no backup plan. Guess I need to call tomorrow and get a backup plan. :cold: :cold: :cold:

Hi, all! I don't have time to completely catch up right now.

Deb--I hope that your dad is doing better!

I just completed the design for my Christmas cards (yeah, I'm a little behind schedule...wish I could say that's a rare occurrence :rotfl: ). The photos are from cutting and decorating the Christmas tree.

Front:

Inside (Half--one photo--in each card):

Also for decoration inside (one in each card):

I have some red vellum to print out the greeting for the inside of the card, but I don't have any ideas yet. I'll get the photos back tomorrow, and I hope to start assembling/addressing them tonight and just add the photos tomorrow.

Their Christmas Music Program is Monday, so they want to go practice. And I am supposed to work tomorrow (I teach at their pre-school). I've already called and told them Rees is sick and I won't be there. Didn't look too good after being on vacation for 8 days... The snow would be awesome cause then they wouldn't miss anything and neither would I!

Tammi -

I haven't been to DC in 9 years!! Way too long!!

I love Potomac Mills b/c I love Ikea - otherwise I could take it or leave it

Also - I am sure that the things that I used to do in DC would be very different from what I would want to do now!! I was fresh out of college and worked on Capitol Hill - we spent a lot of time partying!!

My favorite place in all of DC is a tie between the mall and Arlington national Cemetary - I used to spend hours at the cemetary - it is just so full of history and seemed so peaceful to me!!

I give a pretty mean tour of the Capitol building but since I no longer work there - I don't have access to all the really cool stuff and I am guessing they wouldn't just let me take you all around b/c I used to work there!!!! :rotfl: Although I bet I could get my old boss to lend me an intern with proper credentials!! I sure would have to refresh my memory on the history though!!

I wonder if I could get my other old boss who works in the White House to get a West Wing tour - I doubt he would since he knows I have been on it though!!

My favorite places to hang when I lived there were:
the big pool hall in DuPont - Buffalo Billiards? -
the cinema in Arlington? that had dinner and a movie -
a bar in Arlington that I have no recollection of its name -
shopping at pentagon city -
the Mall - I just loved to take a blanket down and hang out reading and people watching - visiting all the monuments - no matter how many times I went - you could still see something new
red hot & blue

OH - now I can't wait to go!!

Thanks for all your support with my Dad. There is no change today. Still very sore and suffering from the vertigo. He is also very emotional. He says that he is never going to drive again. Hopefully he'll feel better soon.

I made my tye dye shirts today. The plan was to tye dye a christmas tree on the front. I just rinsed them and removed the rubber bands. Only one out of 5 came out like I had planned. I made the mistake of using the leftover dye from when I did the Mickey Head shirts and what was green when I dyed it is now blue. For some reason all the yellow in the green rinsed away. The one the I did with the new dye is fine. I have 3 blue christmas trees, one green christmas tree and one that just looks like a blob (mine of course). They are in the dryer now. I'll try to post when they come out.

It seems strange that many of todays posts are actually t-shirt related. :confused3
