Thanks for asking. I'm feeling better every day. I do fine with breakfast and lunch (mostly because I've found the best yogurt smoothies that only have 5 grams of sugar per bottle). I do the yogurt for breakfast and lunch, and I'm getting a bit more adventurous for dinner. There are days when I just don't feel like eating at all, and then there are days when I want chips and salsa really badly. I'm learning to deal with those cravings though. In reality, my body is always full, so I don't really WANT the food, but my head thinks it does.

My new total is 36 pounds down as of this morning. DH says he wouldn't be surprised if I hit 50 pounds by Christmas.

It's a very emotional time, as I'm finding clothes that I thought I'd never wear again, and seeing them fit me now. Also, I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for about a year, and now it's loose on my finger. I cried and cried when DH put it on my finger again. I really feel like I took my life back. I have more energy to play with my kids, and I'm enjoying it, too.

I have no regrets about the surgery, and would recommend it to anyone looking into it. I'll even recommend my doctor if you all want to make a trip to good old Utah.

That is amazing. The wedding ring story brought tears to my eyes. You go girl!

Me too! Me too!

I'm a little behind this AM, so if it has already been decided, disregard. Hopefully I will catch up soon.

I vote for this one too!!! :cheer2:

Jennifer. I'm not too computer saavy anymore, but could you connect the notebook to yourdesktop and access the drive through your desktop. It would be treating it like an external harddrive. I wasn't on last night, but that was the first thing that came to mind. You might be able to extract the file.

Okay, I need Help! I somehow got a virus on my computer. It's SpyAxe. I am trying to download spyware from Microsoft but the virus won't let me. When I click run I get a dialog box that says Windows cannot access specified device path or file. You may not have permission to access item.

I'm not very computer savvy and I'm pulling my hair out! I purchase our computer at BB and purchased the geek squad. When I called them they said that I'm only covered for hardware not software. Grrrr!

Someone please help. I'm using windows XP.

TRY THIS:

Spyaxe Removal Tool
Here is a removal tool that we can now have a customer download to safely remove spyaxe from their pc:

Have the customer type this url into an address bar or run box: http://www.spyaxe.com/uninstall/uninstallers.zip
Save Uninstallers.zip to your Computer. (Desktop or My Documents folder is fine)
Unzip or extract the file "illegal_adv_uninstall.exe" and
Double click to run the file. (Nothing is displayed when the you run the .exe files)
Reboot your PC
The Spyaxe infection should now be removed Thanks

If this fails manual steps are below

The icon will for spyaxe will show in the systray and will flash between a red circle with an X and an icon that looks like automatic updates (globe with the windows flag)
An infomation bubble will also show saying that the computer is infected. Clicking on the icon will bring the customer to spyaxe.com

To remove it all you should have to do is end task on explorer,
delete the svchosts.dll file in the system32 folder.
delete all registry entries for svchosts.dll (usually 2 entries)

Also check for the following files
svchosts.dll:
bi.dll
c14b2s.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mssearchnet.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvctrl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\HP 4 random characters.tmp for example: HP3c5d.tmp
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpyAxe] C:\Program Files\SpyAxe\spyaxe.exe /h
also delete the folder C:\Program Files\SpyAxe if present

I'm not sure how to do that between a MAC and a Windows CPU.... I'll look into it, though, thanks!

I'm in single digits!...... How come I'm not more excited? :confused3 :guilty:

On top of this computer thing (and that CS Test and Finals), there's the trip on Wednesday that we have done NOTHING to plan out, and now DH's car has 2 flat tires. Yeah, 2. How?! And we called last week for 1 tire and they have yet to get them in because they are some rediculously obscure type. Whatever.

Even Kyle is stressed out, and that NEVER happens. I usually do the worrying for the whole family

And he's not even worried in the SLIGHTEST about T-shirts and every other aspect of the WDW trip....

Thanks for all your pixie dust, etc.... I'll be in a much better mood come, say.... next Tuesday when this semester (and hopefully everything else) is over!

But then I'm only around for one day before we're off...... :goodvibes :goodvibes

Oh Jennifer! I had SO hoped I wuld wake up this morning and see everythig was resolved for you. I will keep up the good thoughts! I hope the Apple guys can work a miracle for you!

See I knew you'd get my sarcastic sense of humor!!!

And I'm right behind you. Matt has croup and had a really tough nite of sleeping last night (thank god the boards were down!) but is doing great tonight... so I need some shut eye that I lost last night.

Later!

Pixie Dust to Matt! :wizard: I hope that he feels better soon.

My ds (6)doesn't have croup, but he had a horrible barking cough last night. His room is right next to ours, and it kept me up all night. At one point, I sat straight up in bed and asked dh, "Did that one sound worse to you? Did that sound croupy?" I was basically awake from then on either cringing that he was coughing or worrying because I hadn't heard anything from him in a while. Ds (14) sleeps below him on their bunk beds and also had a rough night. He says that he going to sleep on the couch tonight.

One of my twins has had that horrible barking cough (not croup) ever since she was born. It was really scary at first since she was so little (just under 5 pounds). I had humidifiers in the babies room every day and night, and finally I took her to the doctor. She had been coughing for hours and just couldn't get her breath. When her lips started turning blue, I just got in the car and drove to the doctor's house (he lives just down our street). He took one look at her and drove us both to the hospital. There was nothing wrong with her lungs, and no fever or anything. Just the horrible cough. Even though she was only about 3 weeks old he prescribed some cough medicine. It has literally saved our nights. I give her the medicine and within 5 minutes she's out like a light for about 6 hours and no coughing. Since she's gotten older, she doesn't get the cough as much anymore, but every winter and spring it's back with a vengeance.

It's scary when your kids are going through something like this and you feel so helpless.

On a croup note: my nephew had a horrible case of it a while ago, and his doctor said do NOT do moist heat. Instead you should do cold moist. She would put wet towels in the refrigerator and then on the back of his neck. The doctor also said that popsicles, or Italian ices would help. I was skeptical, but it seemed to work with Dnephew. He calmed down almost immediately with the moist, cold towels.

yep - I used kitchen cabinets for the bottom and then built the bookshelves -
my dad helped me cut but I designed them and put them together - it was pretty easy - just time consuming

If I lived closer - I'd do them for you!! :goodvibes

Oh I have to take that back - Amy might start sucking up!! :rotfl:

Kate - is there anything you CAN'T do?

Good mornng everyone!

After all that work last night that computer is still not working???? WHy............ the nerve of that thing!!!! I'm sending emergency pixiew dust in hopes that your visit to the store this morning will pan out for you!

Glynis- thanks for the update. I was wondering if you were having cravings or not and if they would over power you or not? That is one of the biggest concerns I have. I can't believe you are eating regualr foods and not having any problems. Both my DS and DB that have had this surgery have had to go back in and have some kind of stretching procedure done because they were unable to hold any food down at all. I just had my colonoscopy last Monday- luckily everything truned out just fine! Haven't called the Dr. yet about the procedure- I just haven't had time, but I plan to after Christmas is over.

I'm not done decorating the house yet! I just don't hvae the time/will it takes anymore! I'm hoping to finalize all the kitchen/family room today and to to the fireplaces (3 mantles) today. Then I have the railings to do. That is really gonna take some time- I disassembled the garland last year because it was looking really shabby and I need to TOTALLY rebuild it now. I'm also going to finish my Christmas shopping today! I need to get all this done by this Saturday because it's just not worth the effort to have it up for any less time than that AND my mom is coming for a visit and I want it to be beautiful when she comes. Any extra pixie dust you got would be apprecited- please send it my way!! I think I'm gonna have to somehow cut back on all this decrating next year. :(

Thanks to everyone for the kind words about my house. I really must give the credit to DH for the outside. He does it all. Usually we put the icicle lights around the ENTIRE roof line, but since we will be gone he opted to skip that part.

I forgot to take a picture of our fireplace w/ stockings. Oops. I don't do alot inside, just the tree and a few decorations. I'm not into knick-knacky type things. Mainly I don't have the time to put it up and take it down. For me it is just too much stuff, kinda like clutter. But when I see it in other homes, I like it. I guess maybe I just don't have the interior decorating gene.

Your house and tree are beautiful!

We finally started this weekend. On Saturday, we went out and "murdered" (dh's word) the tree. I finally won this year, and we have an 8 ft. tree. Usually he makes us pick a smaller tree. (He is saying that it's too big). We let it acclimate in the garage over night and then brought it in and decorated it yesterday.

Where is Amy tonight. She sure has been quiet.

My Hallmark had a 20% off sale. Then it was dinner and Alyssa's bath...followed by Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.

Perhaps one of these days, we'll actually pull out the Christmas decorations! :teeth:

If I were you, I would definitely wait until after the holidays before considering the surgery. If I had it to do all over again, I would have waited until January. It has been really hard this holiday season. However, I am now starting to feel so good that I'm glad I had it done. There are some foods that are harder than others. But I can eat most anything without any problems. You just have to remember to chew and chew and chew. You also have to remember not to eat more than your body can handle. That can make things really hard.

I do crave some things, however, I've found little tricks to make it not so bad. My favorite kind of jerky (honey bbq) is something that I CAN eat. So, I allow myself a piece of jerky every day. It's like my little gift to myself. Also, I can eat nuts, so I allow myself a few nuts per day. If I want something sweet, I go for sugar free life savers. Honestly, it's not so bad. I look back on what I wrote, and it sounds like I'm really depriving myself. Just remember, my new stomach is about the size of my thumb, so a little bit of something goes a LONG way! The hardest thing is to remember to get all my water in. I'm getting better at that, though.

Let me know what you decide to do. Like I said before, I would love to be able to introduce you to my doctor, and help you out any way I can.

Don't worry Amy.......we haven't decorated yet. When I told my 8yr old DS only 20 days until Christmas he said, "WE GOTTA GET BUSY"!!! When I asked him busy with what and he said DECORATING!!! So I guess we will start tonight so we can be done by end of the week. We were busy with church stuff Friday and Sunday and of course the big DAWG game on Saturday.

Okay, I was going to try to quote many of you, to boost my post count (LOL Lynn :rotfl: ), but I really need to get cleaned up to meet a friend for lunch.
