Ok maybe a freak was a little over the top. I am very excited about Friday. I have been making lists and trying to figure out how to be in several places at once. I think I might have to hire my kids to shop with me.

I am excited. We were out of town last year and the year before we all had the flu and my DS now 5 was in the hospital with the flu so I have not got to shop BF in a few years. Hope we all find some good deals.

Marci - here's your PD!! DH had a job he hated for 5 years - just got a new one in the spring - we are a MUCH happier household!!

I love BF!! I am getting excited -did anyone see where Office Depot made the websites pull their ads off them? In my opinion that is pretty stupid on their part - I map my day out before the ads come and just use the ads to have for price matching and reference - if your BF as is not on the websites - you aren't on my list - if they have something I want - I will just price match it now

I do have a quandry b/c KB Fisher price toys are BOGO free - does Walmart price match BOGO?

I can't wait - my favorite shopping day of the year. I only wish I didn't have to drive for 1 1/2 hours to get to the stores!!! I'll have to get up around 2:00. Best Buy opens at 5!! I am still trying to decide which store I want to hit first. The lines will probably be my deciding factor.

Our walmart will price match BOGO if it says 2 for $19.99 or whatever the price is. So many of the stores in our area are not price matching on BF. They started that last year. I think Toys R Us was one of the first. Ask the manager to be sure.

The pictures look great! I love the big snowman in the bathroom. I usually just hang Chirstmas towels up & thats about it.

I'd take them out for the half days & have the conference another time. They would be missing less than the full days. However, if WDW does a deal in 2006 like the "free dining" again within the same time frame (ending 10/4) then I would also want to consider that. Since your kids are in Kindergarten it wouldn't be too bad to miss 3 days. For our October trip I am taking my kiddies out for 4 days during the Yom Kipper week. They don't get homework & tests the week of the Jewish holidays so it's a light week to miss for them. They were out 3 this past October & all went well with school. Since my oldest will be in 5th grade next year I know we won't be able to take her out of school anymore when she gets to middle school.

Yes, I was one of those watching desperate housewives last night. Gabrielle with the balloon was sad.

Going Oct 18-22. Want to do MNSSHP one night This needs to be CHEAP (we're cancelling our summer trip to Hilton Head to save money). Thinking a wing room at the CR would work great. Any other suggestions for resorts? Would the BC/YC be great for SAB? I don't know if he'll go for the $$ though. I told him we'll have the tickets covered (they're left over from this trip). So it'll just be the room, food, and driving down.

Oh, and this opens me up for a whole new range of t-shirts! And costume ideas. Deb, bring on the ideas!

Denise - Just join DVC when you go this time. Then you'll be all set for the next 49 years!

Our Walmart does not match BOGO so it must vary from store to store.

Yes, I am very excited..I will staying home & putting up our tree & decorations!

I did a lot online & some trips into the city & I am done & wrapped!!!! My 2 girls wanted only American Girl stuff & my ds only wants gameboy/gamecube games, baseball cards, & board games. Very easy this year!

Last night I made all my neices & nephews (10 kids ages ranging from 2-12) p.j.'s & pillowcases with there names on (thanks to Kate's design). I put that together with slippers & a soft fleece throw for each of them.

Bath & Body Works for my Mom & MIL...they have this white soft terry "spa" robe. Also got the red alligator bags for each & filled with some lotions & soaps.

The only thing left is my gift for DH..still up in the air about that.

Have fun shopping everyone brave enough to go on BF!

I still don't have it all figured out for sure. I have been concentrating on ONE item -- LAPTOP. I think if I continue to read about all the over my head will blow off!!!!


I THINK we will be at CC for thier laptop. DH wants to spend more $$$ than I do. I can't see it personally.

I like this idea -- or, can you speak to this Santa and ask him to wait around until the end of the party and he can tell your kids that there is something else in his bag for them. That way it is a little more private.... but I don't know if that is possible.

OK guys. This isn't as important as special thoughts for an illness, but I need some prayers and pixie dust for my husband. He has been in a job he doesn't like for almost a year now, after working for a much larger company he loved for over 7 years. He's got an important intervew for today at lunch time for a great local company, and I really hope they like him and decide to hire him. Where he currently is, hasn't worked out at as they said it would. He has almost nothing in common with the people in his department (he's a degreed accountant, in his 40s with two kids, and most of the staff isn't degreed, is much younger with no kids etc.) and his boss is a power/control freak and won't let him do his job without checking and rechecking all his work. I know the days go by so slower and he doesn't feel like his is able to make a real contribution, so it's been very depressing to him. Any PD or special thoughts would really help him (and me as I'm so hoping this works). Thank you, and I hope you all have a great day!

It stinks when you don't like where you are.... here's hoping that today goes his way!!
