Thanks for the recipe. I'm not sure what chex are - sounds like our shreddies, I think.

I put the finished mix back into the cereal boxes for storage

Few questions - I'm dealing with an heirloom after all! Inside the polythene bag, inside the cardboard, or in Tupperware? How long do these keep for apporximately? (Obviously a few weeks or you wouldn't be making them now  ). And are the nuts salted/roasted from the snack section or the plain ones form the baking section?

I've finished my Christmas pillowcases for the kids with a minor mishap - laid all the shapes out then forgot to turn over one of them and started ironing. :earseek: (In my defence can I point out I was using a mix of white and coloured transfers :rolleyes1 ) Luckily nothing went on the pillowcase, but I had a job to get it off the iron! Finally turned the iron back on full then ironed a teatowel - and here's the clever bit - pitting it over the raised edge of the sink to give extra pressure!

Once I've uploaded the pics I'll post them.

I have a brown bear costume that I made for my son. I think it is a size 8 -10. I'd be happy to loan it to you if that would work.

Deb
Deb -- I showed the bear costume to my husband, who loved it as much as I did. Would you still be willing to loan it to us? I promise we will take excellent care of it. I do want to try it on my DS to see if it is anywhere close to fitting. It's much better than anything I have time to get made. I will PM you my FedEx number if you can still do it.

There's a famous Mark Twain quote that says something like "The only thing I'm surprised about is that I'm still surprised." What I mean by that is that this DIS board so Rocks! and I feel so fortunate to have found this group of kind, generous people.

Thank you to my clever designers!

And spot the difference in the pillowcases - one is a logo short where I had my mishap :earseek:

OK guys. This isn't as important as special thoughts for an illness, but I need some prayers and pixie dust for my husband. He has been in a job he doesn't like for almost a year now, after working for a much larger company he loved for over 7 years. He's got an important intervew for today at lunch time for a great local company, and I really hope they like him and decide to hire him. Where he currently is, hasn't worked out at as they said it would. He has almost nothing in common with the people in his department (he's a degreed accountant, in his 40s with two kids, and most of the staff isn't degreed, is much younger with no kids etc.) and his boss is a power/control freak and won't let him do his job without checking and rechecking all his work. I know the days go by so slower and he doesn't feel like his is able to make a real contribution, so it's been very depressing to him. Any PD or special thoughts would really help him (and me as I'm so hoping this works). Thank you, and I hope you all have a great day!

MazdaUK -- He's adorable and it looks like he had a great turn-out for his birthday party. What a cute t-shirt, too!

Thank you! There were 30 there - all but 4 of his class, his 2 youngest cousins and 2 little brothers of his friends whose mums stayed to help :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I've said that's the LAST whole class party (and needless to say that's not my playroom) :rotfl2:

julia&nicks mom did the design - big brother Josef had one with Goofy walking across the map and "Big Brother in charge" on it.

Now they're washed they've gone a bit crinkly :sad2: - I prewashed them and used no conditioner, and they dried flat.

Cheap Primark T's!

Chex is a brand of cereal similar to shredded wheat (which I assume are your "shreddies") but they cannot be interchanged, I don't think. I wonder if I could mail them to you?!?!? http://www.chex.com/

I keep them for several weeks in the bags inside the cereal boxes but Tupperware works well too for storage. I have frozen the mix without too much loss of flavor also.

The nuts are the salted variety from the snack section.

Any other questions? Keep asking!

Absolutely, PM me your info. If it is too big you can always roll the legs and sleeves up inside the costume and pin them.
