Nope .. .too little. How about nephews and nieces? I had my nephew going WITh me from 13. He has been staked out at his own store (part of our crew) since he was 16.

Since my mom and I both want stuff at Best Buy I figure I can use one of my kids to get my Mom's stuff and that will free her up for another store. They wouldn't be alone so should be fine.

Those little ones are great for getting around stores! They squeeze through the tight places! LOL Just watch the line and at some pooint .. place someone IN it .. and bring stuff to him /her.


I JUST got my laptop problem resloved! Hooray! DH has been looking at the "eye candy" laptops --- mainly for the DVD burner. But there is an external one sold at OM for like $60 AR. SOLD! Beats spending an extra $400 on the laptop. (really nice processor - but come on!)

OK guys. This isn't as important as special thoughts for an illness, but I need some prayers and pixie dust for my husband. He has been in a job he doesn't like for almost a year now, after working for a much larger company he loved for over 7 years. He's got an important intervew for today at lunch time for a great local company, and I really hope they like him and decide to hire him. Where he currently is, hasn't worked out at as they said it would. He has almost nothing in common with the people in his department (he's a degreed accountant, in his 40s with two kids, and most of the staff isn't degreed, is much younger with no kids etc.) and his boss is a power/control freak and won't let him do his job without checking and rechecking all his work. I know the days go by so slower and he doesn't feel like his is able to make a real contribution, so it's been very depressing to him. Any PD or special thoughts would really help him (and me as I'm so hoping this works). Thank you, and I hope you all have a great day!

Praying for him. I know how hard it is to work a job that plain stinks to be at. I hope he gets the change he is looking for! Hang in there!

Come on Marti, you and Paul are DVC members too aren't you?

We went home for the first time this trip and loved it! I just need to pay off a couple of bills (and it looks like DS11 needs braces) before I can add-on!

I have explained to DH that we need 2 contract of 150 each so we can leave them to the kids in the will! You would think as an Eagle Scout he would understand the importance of planning ahead .

Marcij - Good luck to your husband. I know from experience there is nothing worse than being in a job you hate. I was lucky enough to be able to leave that job (wasn't putting food on the table, if you know what I mean) with no prospects in sight. I am sure your DH will do all he can to make himself (and everyone at home) happy.

Yes, I am very excited..I will staying home & putting up our tree & decorations!

I did a lot online & some trips into the city & I am done & wrapped!!!! My 2 girls wanted only American Girl stuff & my ds only wants gameboy/gamecube games, baseball cards, & board games. Very easy this year!

Last night I made all my neices & nephews (10 kids ages ranging from 2-12) p.j.'s & pillowcases with there names on (thanks to Kate's design). I put that together with slippers & a soft fleece throw for each of them.

Bath & Body Works for my Mom & MIL...they have this white soft terry "spa" robe. Also got the red alligator bags for each & filled with some lotions & soaps.

The only thing left is my gift for DH..still up in the air about that.

I am sooo jealous of you! I have some stuff done, but far from done. I will be going nuts after I get back from my trip!!! People better watch out when i get bakc, I will be all around!!

Ok, plans for this week: Pack for Disney, Pack for our Thanksgiving trip to see my family, and get my hair done on Wed. And I'm going darker brown too. Tired of my roots and GREY showing all the time!

Now the posting frenzy can begin. I would love to join you, but DH just called, he is going to take me to lunch and I haven't jumped in the shower yet, been uploading pictures and reading the DIS. YIKES - gotta go.

Denise - look into DVC while you are there. You could also go to the Rent/Trade DVC Points board and rent a 1 bedroom at the Beach Club Villas for next October and it would probably cost less than the rooms. The official line is 4 people in a 1 bedroom, but DVC will allow you to put 5 names on the reservation. I would think your 3 are small enough that you could put them across the queen size sleeper sofa. In October, the points for a 1 bedroom are 24 per day for Sunday - Thursday, 47 per day on Friday and Saturday. Points rent for about $10/each.

We just got back from Old Key West (larger rooms) and you could easily do 5 in a 1 bedroom because it has sleeper sofa and loveseat. It is 18 pts/day S-Th and 41 pts./day F&S. You may want to look into it. You then have a full kitchen and laundry room in your apt.

Densie, You will have to put a new pic on after you get your hair done. I am being told I look younger, but I am still in shock. I only did highlites, so a whole dye is crazy for me. It is a new color called "mocha." I still am not sure I like it, but DH is sooooo happy to have a "new chick"

I am so NOT looking forward to going into work and hearing comments. I am NOT one for attention, yet I attrack comments for some reason. Always been told that they like this or dont like that, my whole life! Eeekks

I am so not ready for the trip. Shirts not complete, waiting for old navy order of more shirts. Also, gotta try on cloths again, lost weight. I feel outta control with xmas too. Where do you get the energy?????

Kate - have you tried recently? Word out on the DVC boards is that it is now "unofficial policy" to allow 5. They will provide 5 room cards, just not any additional bedding, and won't bring in a roll away. This is for 1 bedrooms, not studios. I haven't tried it, this is just what is being reported.
