Nick got a little tylenol in him and is doing amazingly better - he is starting to drive me crazy again - DH doesn't understnad why I am so tired - it just takes it out of you to hold and carry a little one everywhere - includign the doctor and urgent care cetner. we finally had to give him a suppository - he refused the "candy" (chewable tablets) daddy brought home from work so we used the suppository - we'll see what he decides to do next time we offer him the "candy"

Hi everyone. I haven't been able to get on much today. You all sure have been busy. So much is going on.

Kate - Sorry about poor Nick. This is really bizarre that just about everyone on this thread has been sick themselves or it's been someone in their family. My Nicholas went through that when he was 11 months old. He spiked a fever of 104.something and we couldn't get it to go down. No other symptoms. Called the ped. who said take him to ER. They did all sorts of tests...urine, blood, etc. and everything was fine. Then they did a chest xray and saw a teeny tiny spot somewhere on his lung and diagnosed pneumonia. He got a couple shots and a prescription and was acting normal by the next day. I am surprised it wasn't an ear infection after you said he was pulling on it and it smelled funny. I hope the rest of your family stays healthy.



And you all have made me hungry for Mexican food!

DBF and I are in the Uptown/McKinney Ave/West Village area. Basically, we are surrounded by construction cranes and new apartos going up (if you've been in this area lately, you'll know what I mean). This place is growing like crazy! Not sure it is for the better at the prices they charge for rent...

I work downtown, so I know exactly where you're talking about! I love that area - we used to live down there (no further north of downtown than Lovers Lane), but had to move out to the 'burbs when we bought a house. Talk about sticker shock - look at the Big D housing market in some areas!

Moonbeams -- wow -- "It is a small world." I work in that area. We've been in our little house for almost 17 years, and that area has dramatically changed. In fact, when we first moved the business in, we were part of a neighborhood association with daily six hour off duty police patrols because there was still a lot of crime in that area. I'm still sad that Gallery Cafe left, although my waistline is probably in much better shape. My kids loved those decorated cookies and there were difficult to resist!

Kate, I'm glad that you were able to get meds into Nick. We used to use the suppositories on our youngest. They're not fun, but they do work.

Midnite, sorry that I didn't quote you. It wasn't supposed to be my milestone and it snuck up. I would be happy to edit your quote in if you tell me what it was again. I would have been honored to use it if I had remembered.

Jennifer, do the cruise and don't worry about shirts. You can make them for next time. Just have fun.

I felt naked without my sig - so I put it back - does not mean I am designing again - just leaving my designs easily accessible

the dda logo file is now small enough that you can have it in and it only takes about 1/2 of the signature allotted file space - you can feel free to put it back - I fixed it in my photobucket - so anyone linked to there is fixed now too

Tia - it looks like we will have some of the same schedule. I haven't quite planned every day yet, but here's what I'm thinking thus far for our trip (gosh, can't believe I'll be there in less than 2 weeks!):

28th - arrive/check-in at WL, Beaches & Cream?, hang out at WL, dinner at Artist Point & sleigh ride
29th - MGM, lunch at Sci Fi, meet up with my parents and brother / MVMCP with LTT at 5:35
30th - late breakfast at Boma, early dinner at Mama Melrose's, Fantasmic and Osborne Lights
1st - CM for breakfast, Epcot - CP, tree lighting, IllumiNations and dinner at LC
2nd - move over to BWI, MK a.m., WCC for lunch, FF for dinner
3rd - breakfast at Spoodles, watch the Longhorns in the Big 12 championship game, tie-up loose ends, dinner at Alfredo's
4th - go home

If anybody else will be around, let me know! Most of the time will be just me and DH, but then other times will have my parents and brother with us, too.
