Great! Going to read it now!
The trick is you need to start with just the volunteer ticket. Then you can pay the difference to get whatever kind of ticket you want (getting $79 credit or whatever the price for a one day base ticket is when you redeem it). You cannot, for example, start with a 3 day ticket and then try to use your volunteer ticket for $79 towards making it a 10 day ticket (there is no combining two tickets to make a third one).
. I am so excited and am looking forward to be a part of something so positive. Unfortunately, there is rain in our forecast and I got an email from the organizer saying we'll be notified if they have to reschedule. I'm really hoping the weather cooperates. Those of you having such a hard time finding anything, why not just do Project Linus? There are plenty of them that will accept mail in donations. This may be your easiest option.
Our troop all got their vouchers, and we are good to go!
Lisabarr-- Do you know of any specific that accept mail donations? Thanks
so in that case, probably the best course of action (even if i would be getting a hotel+dining), would be to get the tickets once you get to the first park on the first day there? then you could upgrade to a multi-day ticket for the difference in cost? or do you have to get tickets with a WDWTC hotel + dining purchase?
sorry if i'm asking too many questions.

We did our Day of Service, on Saturday, and it was AWESOME!!! I had such a wonderfully, fulfilling time with my family and watching my son get excited every time he would explain that we were collecting for the community food pantry. In fact, we've decided to start doing something weekly, to participate and benefit our city's most needy people. This was a wonderful experience and reminded me that there are things and situations bigger than me- and I needed that!!! I, almost, cried when I listened to the organizers describe how families would show up on the doorsteps of the church, asking for food. I'm not blind or naive, but when you get wrapped up in your own daily life, it's easy to turn a blind eye to those suffering, around you. I just really needed to be reminded, of how much, I've lost myself and I'm grateful, for this experience.

I just signed up to make hygeine kits for the homeless. This sounds like a lot of fun and I can't wait to go shopping for stuff and make the bags when my son comes to visit this weekend so I can take pictures of our assembly line. They said 1 kit per person to qualify but I am going to try and make 5 for each of us so that is 15 kits. It is for a good cause in addition to the ticket so I don't mind spending the money. After we drop them off in Tustin, CA next Tuesday my daughter and I will go to Disneyland for the afternoon!
It was hard finding something for us all to do as my 16yr old Son only comes home 2x a month and my daughter is 13 so options were limited. Organizations are still inundated with requests too.
if you use coupons you will be able to get a lot of free stuff in the travel sections of walmart, target and even cvs
