Disney+ Day 30-minute Early Entry Friday November 12

Does anyone know which rides will be open during the extra half hour in the morning? Is it safe to assume the same rides that used to be open during the early entry for resort guests?

I don't see that anyone else has posted this yet, so as an FYI, Disney+ subscribers are eligible for 30 minutes of early entry to both Disneyland and California Adventure this Friday in celebration of "Disney+ Day":

Edited to ask: Have there been other times that DCA has been open for Early Entry to anyone other than hotel guests? If not, I wonder if this is a sign of things to come for other promotions in the future.

Guess this isn’t a staffing issue at this point, hopefully early openings will come back soon.

Just because they can staff enough for ONE day doesn't mean they can do it consistently.

If this increases signups for Disney+, then I think EMH will become at perk for Disney+ subscribers only.

I see this as a test run, but we’ll see.

Like I previously said, EVERYBODY is a Disney+ subscriber. They aren't going to add this as a daily perk to such a large crowd.

I do think EMH will be coming back, likely by spring, at least for resort guests.

Then maybe EVERYBODY will keep their Disney+ subscription while they add more people to the service.

Park reservations can cap how many people are let in on these Disney+ Days, and they don’t have to be every day.

People keep thinking things will come back “as was” but there is no indication of that.

Or maybe there is a free fast pass option, max pass, and park hopping at any time that I don’t know about???

I do hope you are right, but what moves Disney’s stock these days is Disney+ news and numbers, not hotel occupancy rates.

Hotel occupancy rates do increase Disney's bottom line, and that does affect the stock prices. (Figure all 3 resort hotels are full, it is about $1.5 million in revenue a night.) And giving all ticket holders an extra 30 mins in the park isn't going to help the bottom line as much as perks at the hotel. We have already seen people do the "Since there are no perks to staying at the 3 hotels, I will be across the street." I do believe EMH will return at least for Hotel guests. Currently, the only thing really helping the hotels is the hotel reservation bucket.

Isn't EVERYBODY a Disney+ subscriber? It comes free as part of Verizon. And almost every package includes it.

I agree being a Disney+subscriber isn't so exclusive or a limited group. But I do know quite a lot of people who don't have it. (Their feeling is they don't have kids and aren't Marvel fans, so...meh. I know, there's obviously a lot more to the service—Pixar for one!—but there are also soooo many streaming services.) And it was only free with Verizon with certain plans. (I'm a longtime Verizon customer and most definitely wasn't eligible for a free subscription.)

It's still a very large and rapidly-growing group so agree I'd be surprised to see EMH only offered to subscribers. The rate at which they've been signing up subscribers is impressive. Plus if you're going to dangle a carrot, I think there is a lot more incentive to sign up to watch theater releases sooner at home, as opposed to a mere 30 minutes early admission into the parks occasionally. (Regular park goers would likely already have Disney+.)

Oh, and regarding some comments above, my Disney+ subscription is going up in December, so they've already started the increases!

Disney stock down over 8% today despite the Parks Division being profitable again.

But, Disney+ subscriptions didn’t meet expectations, so I won’t be surprised to see more perks based around Disney+.
