Disney Cruise with fractured collar bone...

My daughter broke her collarbone in Pre-K a few years ago. The sling just helps keep it stable while it heals. I know our doctors didn't allow her to participate in PE or anything that may cause her to bump it or re-injure it in any way.

This happened to my son when he was about 5. My kids were rough housing and he fell and hit it just right. They do heal quite quickly and he had a similar sling to your son. I am sure you will be able to find a balance of activities so he is happy and still safe. Enjoy your cruise!

I would be worried about going during crowded times. We had to come pick up our 6-year old twin boys several times (on only a 3 day cruise) because other kids had hurt them--pushing, kicking, running and crashing into them etc. While their injuries were of the ice pack or band-aid variety, I don't know if that kind of rough housing might be dangerous for your son's healing process. It just gets very "wild" in there in the late afternoons and evenings.
It's that rough in the Oceaneer Club? My kids will only be 3 and 4, so this has me second-guessing sending them in there. I wish the age range wasn't so huge.

It is really more of a time of day / crowd level thing. Any time before 3pm and the place seemed quiet and calm. In the evenings I would go in to pick up my sons and it was insane--there were HUNDREDS of kids packed in there.
