Disney Cruise Lines Firsts!

Good Morning.

Sorry as the others have pointed out, the animated show is only on the Dream and Fantasy. The Wonder and Magic , in animated Pallet MDR starts dinner as a white and white room and slowly as the meal progresses the rooms changes over into a colorful animation and walls, etc.

You will have a wonderful cruise.

Actually magic got a version of it during dry dock last year but not the same as dream and fantasy. But is only on longer cruises on the magic

I know it sounds picky or petty for those who haven't done Disney but I love the poolside food and drinks. It's so nice to refill my tumbler or make ice cream floats while enjoying the pool. Need a plate of fruit or a full on meal? Right there!

We're you on a short or long cruise? For some reason I was thinking it was only on the 7 night Magic cruises and they added it during dry dock, but I certainly could be wrong.

I was on the 5 day cruise. So as you and others have stated, maybe it is only on the longer cruises.

The posting was copied and pasted from the DCL Facebook page. I read it yesterday. Yes, they're all true, and someone at DCL wrote it.

The aqua duck is alot of fun, especially because DCL did not just buy standard colored fiberglass chutes that are found on other ships and water parks. They spent the extra money to have a entirely clear tube, so the guests get the extra effect of seeing the water 110' below and during the ride.

Please give credit where credit is due. That list was created by Disney Cruise Line and posted 12/10/2012.

Actually found it on another site, and as I clearly stated, I found the *LIST*, (not an article or story, or book), the *LIST* a nice read and it demonstrates how much DCL does to make the Disney experience , magic and pixie dust better. They do more and spend more provide superior vessels and entertainment/cruise none of the other line can approach.

Just had my mind shaken to remember another DCL first and free perk............if you take the cruise from NYC to PC you get free park ticket and transportation for each guest to use that day.

THESE DO ADD UP.

We are booked for one of these in 2017. When I booked I didn't realize this was included. I thought it would be a paid Port Adventure and checked with the CM who booked me on if it would be offered. She told me the WONDERFUL news that the transport and tickets were INCLUDED. This is really exciting!!!!

Well I am the first to admit DCL can be expensive, however there are many little perks that get forgotten.

We are doing a 7 day eastern on the Fantasy next March, with the Brothers and families and staying at OKW for 3 nights before to get some park time. Except its on our dime as they say.

Have a great cruise.

Another first not mentioned (but no longer implemented) is the personalized Personal Navigators. In the beginning the Navigators looked nothing like they do today. they were actually personalized to each guest and it listed the ship's activities as well as your own activities and shore excursions each day. It was set up as a lined page with each hour printed on it and the activities listed. It lasted a little while but as you can imagine the logistics of keeping track and printing that was extraordinary! I still have mine from the Maiden Voyage of the Magic back in 1998 and it weighs a lot and is several pages long.

I can sure see how that would have been a logistical nightmare!
