Disney Cruise Line: Simulated Test Sailings With Volunteers Beginning June 29

Oh, the lack of communication is SO frustrating! I can't believe that people "checked in" on cruises the other day and still don't have any idea what the protocols will be! We're sailing in December and I'm stressed out...can't imagine how the August/September sailers are feeling!

same here!

This is super exciting! I saw on facebook yesterday it was somewhere else in the bahamas so I wouldn't think it would be just dropping cast members to Castaway but definitely possible! Crossing my fingers it is a under the radar test cruise!

Not a test cruise - can't reveal the name of my source, but a CM onboard. Test cruise should be this weekend, this was a shakeout with just the crew - but they were serving meals in the Main Dining room, etc to standards to get used to it again.

Saw a pic of one of the crew eating escargot in the dining room. Guess they are serving fancy meals again!

I know this has been super frustrating, but I honestly think they don’t plan on canceling any more cruises and after the test this weekend we will finally get an idea of what a US Disney cruise will look like in the current environment …. fingers and toes crossed ….

That's what I keep thinking, after this weekend they HAVE to tell us something. But then again, I was saying that 2 weeks ago...after the holiday they HAVE to tell us something, it will be almost 1 month then. :rotfl: That theory didn't work out so well. ;)

Unfortunate that this is still not THE test cruise but I honestly didn't expect to hear anything until Monday anyway.

I don't think they will cancel anymore either, but I also am not getting super confident about the protocols (or lack of protocols). This is the poster child of mismanagement.

100% agreed. We are on the Thanksgiving cruise on the Fantasy and our booking date for Gold CC is Aug. 8th, where you have to be paid in full. Still no word from Disney for even the August Dream cruisers as to what the protocols will actually be. I am DEFINITELY reticent to pay in full before I know if there will be any deal breakers for us. We are all fully vaxed and I do not want to wear masks, or not be able to go to the Rainforest Room or the gym when I want, or have to schedule pool time. Two different people I work with are going on CCL out of Miami in a couple weeks and they already know everything as to protocols.

Never reveal your source. hahahahahah (sorry it's Friday and I am so ready for the weekend and to cruise!!)

A crew member I follow on Instagram was showing his Escargot plate while eating in the Dining Room. Gave me hope.
