Disney Cruise Line Disney Fantasy Announcement! The Aqua Lab and New Adult Water Area

Is that first picture on deck 12 where the family wading pool will go? :sad2:

When I was on the dream in March, we spent our "sea day" that was supposed to be a CC day, on Deck 12 soaking up the sun above the quiet cove pool since we couldnt dock to go to the beach. This area did get crowded, and it was adults only. There is not much sun by the quiet cove pool for the whole day, and probably only about 6-10 chairs totally in the sun.

I loved those cushioned loungers and I would be very sad to see that area above the adults pool now have a family pool, because the noise level from the donald and mickey pools was 10x louder then this comfy seating area was right next door. I guess that would make the "quiet" cove pool not so "quiet" with kids right above. I am not trying to offend anyone, but it was a nice area for adult relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the midship pools and family area.

Maybe I am just confused? I hope

I am pretty sure that is where the family wading pool is going...right in front of the funnel.....I have the same concerns.

Again, not trying to offend anyone but wouldn't this be a HELLO :rolleyes1obvious concern to the people at disney, that their name for the adult pool will no longer hold true. It will definitely not be a "quiet" cove and I will definitely not be spending a lot of my time there if that is the case. I guess its more geared towards the families, which I understand but sometimes adults are in families and want some quiet too. They wont be getting it there...

I'm not an engineer and I know on a ship your limited for space, but if they are gonna make some changes wouldn't there be smarter options.

While we seem to be in the minority on this, I too agree. It was hard enough to get a chair on our sea day, and it looks like while they are adding more "water areas" they are taking away chairs.

From the picture it doesnt look like many chairs in the sun at the new adult area. I hope I'm just not seeing this right. :sad2:

Yes I agree, I do like the new water areas but the choice of space for them and the taking away chairs seems problematic. I am glad I have a 4E extended balcony on my 2013 fantasy cruise because it may be the only place I can get some sun peacefully.

I agree about the sun! I am Aft back of ship with two connecting rooms 7192& 7194. We plan on opening up the two together which are oversized :thumbsup2 Almost like 5 normal size verandas between the two !
Will be private and great! Can't wait

Agreed. I wonder if they are thinking that adults will migrate toward that new area at the front of the ship...?

It's funny. I must be in them minority. I'm past the age of needing to work on my tan. When I heard more shady areas, I was thrilled.

That satellite thing is freaking awesome! looks like something in a James Bond movie. Are they serving drinks around there?

I must be in the minority. When I went on the Dream last year, the adult pool was never too crowded. in fact, two nights in a row I was the only one swimming for over an hour at a time. Now, I DO agree with all the comments about the family/kids pools...way too small and crowded all the time. One tip: While enjoying the Pirate Night festivities, I observed the same small boy riding the AquaDuck about 10-15 times in a row...so apparenlty there's little to no wait while the show is going on!

I'm sure if the demand for drink's served there is enough then they will have a waiter or waitress serving that area.
How stable the water flow is from one side to the other will be once the ship has left port is another thing......

Nothing, nothing, drenched, nothing, nothing, drenched could be the case?

Last I read, Brent is taking over the Fantasy. He was the CD on the Magic for years. Love him!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Brent! We've sailed on the magic several times and are always so happy to see him. I guess that gives us an excuse to book a Fantasy cruise. :)
