Is anyone else booked for a wedding on the Wonder for the wknd of Sept 2-5?
I'm getting married on Castaway Cay on Sept 4th . I'm supposed to turn in my packet in a few weeks and I'm going crazy with decisions...

We're on the cruise right after yours, the one that leaves Sept 5. My son is getting on board ship during the cruise, so the ceremony should be on Monday. They've got their packet filled out except for one or two songs. I can't believe how close we're getting. Only a few months left.:cool1::banana:
 
Hi girls so its getting close to my wedding date I am on the Disney Magic western Nov 27th 2010 castaway cay ceremony. My parents just paid off the wedding and my inlaws suprised us with a paid disney cruise so I have less stress about those bills. I stil ned brides maid dresses and my groom needs an outfit. Shanda sent me some add ons for cc brides tiki torches with floral arrangements and these isle runes made with shells and palm tress so pretty, we r going with both and working on some other upgrades.Still searching for the gifts for all my family and friends who decided to join us on the cruise we are at 55 people now and it seems to keep growing lol...I just came back from a 5 day cruise on carnival and everyone i spok with says the same once you go disney ull never go back so I guess I will have to c...My inlaws just came off the medeteranian disney in may and they raved this is there 3rd disney cruise, my wedding will be the 4th and I can not believe that they payed for our intire trip I am so grateful...well august my dress finally will b at klienfields I have an appointment this time I confirmed for another dress for the evening at Palo...My mother insist on a dress change and that it comes from Klienfelds she is paying so I am not complaining....well lets c whta the next couple of months bring...good luck to all and congrats on ur baby....:banana:

Quick question to anyone that can help me, i'm a little frustrated. I spoke to Shanda in regards to the children that will be attending my ceremony and the $20.00 per person charge. I explained that it makes no sense that I need to pay the same for a child ( that will not drink champagne ) as for an adult. Has anyone else gone through this? I have 7 children attending.
 

I had to pay the same for the children as we did the adults. We opted to have Lemonade (Free) instead of the cider (to pay for) as that would have been paying 2x for the kids. :headache:

Also....make sure you get in writing from Shanda that there will be enough chairs provided for all your guests. Disney likes to charge you $100 for your guest, but then expect them to stand in the sun for your ceremony.

Couple of questions I've seen little legal ceremonies on the boat before the ceremony when dose that take place?

Also how is sep-nov weather wise?

This horrible oil spill is really saddening and confusing is any other future bride worried?

Hey. Based on my research the legal ceremony takes place when you get on the boat before it leaves Port.

I'm not sure of exact weather, maybe check weather.com? But I know Sept. - Nov. is still hurricane season so you always have that as a worry (I'm planning a Sept. 2011 Castaway Cay ceremony). Essentially they will reroute the ship if there is a threat so you take the chance of getting married on the ship instead of the beach if your plan is Castaway Cay.

And yes I'm a little worried about the oil spill, but hopefully it'll get better soon.
 
That's Pretty much what I heard :-) congrats on your engagement! how far along are you with planning and this whole process? I'm still trying to see whose coming for sure, I want to just buy the tickets and get everything started!!

Hi Kathy! I was originally scheduled to have the ceremony on deck 7 during that cruise. But just had to push it back to Oct.

For the reception, what actually goes on? How long is that part of it? Where is it held and is there dancing afterwards? Do you have to go to one of the lounges later to dance??? HELP ME........ haha I was trying to find it in the thread but it is so long I couldn't find anything about it...
It might be a little different for the dream but an idea would be a nice help...trying to make a CD with music for the ceremony but I need to know what all the reception entails..Thanks for any advice

For the reception: You get into Palo we did a first dance, a father daughter dance, a mother son dance, then cut the cake. Then we had the toasts. Then after the toasts the DJ (piano player from the beach) played a CD we made. It had the wedding songs of all of our guests on it. We talked a bit then our guests headed to the cabins to change while we took pictures around the ship.

We were on the beach by 1pm and the guests around 12:15.

The per person charge was only $10 I think when I got married and it was like if you had one extra person or 9 you still paid the extra $100. They say it's for the extra cake, BUT we had half a cake left and most people had big pieces. We had water for the kids (it was only 3 of them) but still had to pay the extra.

We got married November 4th and the Island was warm, very warm, but we had a great breeze.

We ended up having about 8 guests from the disboards that I told Imran about and he only put out 4 chairs!! They were scared to sit in the chairs since my kids kept sitting in them, so all of my guests stood too. :headache: It was a bit akward. Glad it wasn't just me. BUT that is a problem!

Wow! That's amazing. I hope you'll share pics of everything! The klienfelds dresses are beautiful. Can't wait to see what you pick.

Well, Ijust got confirmation from Shanda , and everyone that is over the age of 3 has a $20.00 per person fee. This fee will cover the cake, chair and beverage. There is no way of getting out of it...

We were in the Open Area in the middle. There is bench seating all around, but no tables. Here are a few pictures:

We danced in the middle, they had a few chairs set up and they placed our "Favor" beach towels out for all the guests.

Omg ladies I have my cc wedding date reserved!!! I feel So excited and relieved! Also our family and friends are so excited to attend a wedding on disneys privet island!

Does anyone know the actual chances of the wedding date being moved??

I wanna start planning and booking lol

At our daughters Wedding on DECK 7 there wern't enough chairs for everyone!!!! So everyone stood durring the Ceremony was a bit strange and she was not too happy about it. They make a limit as to how many you can have on Deck 7 I was assuming it was because they only had so much room for seating.....what seating?? It looked very pretty but not enough for everyone
 
If you are paying the extra $20 per person INSIST on having chairs for all guests. I had to make sure on the island, and they did "find" the right number of chairs. I think they try to make it easier for THEM.
