wow..she lasted less than a year.
I really didn't have much interaction with her other then the email we just recently exchanged emails about my pictures (PS...DCL KEEPS THEM FOR 1 YEAR!! So if you want more..do it before that!! I am sooo mad at myself!!)
she seemed nice but maybe overwhelmed

I never had any problem with Brianna. She was always helpful and prompt to reply to any emails. She sent out all information on time and was always polite.

So I wish her well in her new career and hope that my new coordinator is just as friendly.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info regarding the photos, thats good to know.:thumbsup2

Nichol...Did you receive the new 2010 photography packages? The prices have changed and the packages are a bit different.

Think I have decided on an ivory/lavender colour scheme for my flowers. I was initially going for the tropical bouquet but it doesn't seem to be a set colour so thats a bit risky for me.

Happy New Year to you all

Well even though I swayed a little with having the wedding on the DCL vs. at WDW we decided to move forward with DCL because it is the way we want it sure we don't get a lot of choices but how many people can say that they were married on Disney's private island. :thumbsup2

I have a few pics to share. Sorry about the size. I thought that I resized them but I guess it didn't work.
This is my 1 yr old Lilly.

It is a Les Soirees. As soon as I tried it on I knew that it was mine but I tried on everything else just in case. The bridal shop had it marked down and I never asked why, but when I came home and looked up the name it looked like the maker is making dresses any more. :confused3 Oh well my score I guess. I can't wait to be standing in the water with my dress on. I hope the photographer can get a great pic of that.

I hope the new planner is as nice as Brie.

Happy planning everyone.

I have a picture package list. I will look to see if it is the new one.

That is a beautiful dress Jennifer and perfect for a beach wedding.:cloud9::goodvibes

I'm glad you decided to stick with a DCL wedding. Nothing else came close for me. As soon as we knew they did weddings that was it!:thumbsup2
I think, for me, part of the appeal of it IS the lack of choices. The whole point of a wedding away from home is to minimize the stress and worry of 1001 decisions to make. I love the fact that I just need to choose flowers, cake and music and thats pretty much it.:cool1:

I have decided on lavender/ivory roses for my bouquet with a matching boutonniere for the groom. I shall be getting a boutonniere for each of my boys too. Other than that it is just going to be my inlaws present. I was going to get a boutonniere for my father-in-law. What about my mother-in-law? Or is it usually just the men?
We shall be going for the contemporary round cake. Hopefully different flavours per tier. Maybe a chocolate with white chocolate mousse and a white with buttercream. Not sure yet, but its not a big deal in my eyes anyway, theres enough delicious food on the cruise anyway!:yay:

Music is my big thing at the minute as I really haven't got a clue. I have been listening to different ones on you tube and have definately decided that traditional is not my thing so I won't be walking down to Here Comes The Bride.
I am thinking of having,
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes for the prelude,
We're In Heaven by Do for my walk down the aisle,
Ever, Ever After for the recessional(although not sure if my DH to be will agree to that one)
Always by Bon Jovi is our song so that will be our first dance.:cloud9::lovestruc

Would anyone care to share what they had for their music and their thoughts on the pianist? Is one song enough for the prelude/seating?

You could always order your MIL a corsage....I can't imagine that it would be a huge cost.

We were on the Magic, and the pianist was fantastic. He, of course, knew all the Disney tunes, and even listened to our conversation as we were cutting the cake and heard me say that I loved Little Mermaid...played one of the songs from the movie. We had a song by Clint Black as our dance song..."Something that we do" which is a very appropriate VR song; about being married for 10+ years. They didn't have it, and I prefer to hear Clint Black, so we brought the CD.

As for the prelude/seating, we had 20 people and he just played songs, don't know how many since I was in the "hidden" room. One song was enough for us to walk down the isle. We were in Sessions.

The hour goes by so quickly, that it really is hard to remember...especially since it has been 2 years for me...;)

Have fun planning

Cheryl

Jennifer.....love the dress.

On one of the threads, someone did go in the water for their pictures and it was really something. They came out great, so I am certain you shouldn't have a problem.

Leanne- I checked on the price list I have for pictures. It came in the 2010 Planning Guide from the email Brianna sent. I hope that is the updated price list. Let me know if it is not please.

Thanks!

Jennifer I love your dress! You will not be disappointed. My wedding was over the top AMAZING!!! Being on that island with the water hitting the shore and the wind blowing was just how I pictured it!

love your picture!!!!!!!!!!

Jenn....your son is so cute!

Jenn, your pictures are lovely!! Your DD looks just like you. And I know your hair is not exactly how you pictured it, but I think it looked great. Your photographer did a fantastic job!!!!

I'm sad about Brianna... I didn't have any issues with her. She was patient with me, and always very courteous. I do think there are far too many DCL weddings for one person to adequately handle. Sadly, I think DFTW is not going to hire an adequate number of planners. My refund for flowers is still not on my current credit card statement, so now I guess I need to pursue that with whomever is the NEW planner, yes?! Can someone pm me her email? I know it was submitted back at the beginning of December, once the ship sent the photos of the wilted headpieces and the orange bouquet!!:rotfl:I have gotten lots of compliments of on the pictures of my floral, though...even though it's not what I wanted, it still looked nice in the end.

Overall- new brides- we had a wonderful experience! I would recommend it again, as long as you know it is a simple process, few choices... but it was gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! And the onboard staff was stellar on the Magic. :thumbsup2

Hi! I was married on Castaway Cay last August so maybe I can help with the music...

We had Under the sea for the prelude. It was playing when I arrived in the golf cart and the pianist kept playing it until I started walking down the aisle. I think he just keeps playing until you are ready. It's just instrumental so you can't really tell if it repeats!

For walking down the aisle we chose When you wish upon a star

The recessional was A Whole new World.

For the first dance we had Everything by Michael Buble. We brought a CD but our planner said if the pianist knew it they would play it. We ended up with the CD which was just fine with us. We also requested I'm Yours (brought a CD) and Can you feel the Love tonight for the reception. I think the music was great!
