I just got married on the Disney Dream's Outlook Lounge on Feb 25th with 32 guests in tow, and it was nothing short of fabulous!!!
Panos was our onboard wedding coordinator, and he was wonderful - professional and punctual. He coordinated the steaming of our dresses, the wedding itself, and brought us champagne to the room with a bunch of gifts from Disney (a Fairytale wedding bag, a really nice album/keepsake box, the Mickey and Minnie Cake Top, Cake serving set, a HUGE beach towel, couple of Disney picture frames, two very nice flower arrangements - I might have forgotten others! It was so many trinkets!)
The room was airy and bright, and surprisingly roomy for our 30+ guests. The piano sound was at a perfect volume, and it was just a lovely, lovely wedding conducted by my dear sister.
The cake was great, although I was so moved by the whole event, I don't really remember much about it. The only potential issue might be that the room is relatively small and frequently back-lit, so it wasn't easy to get pictures with the whole group without fancy cameras (luckily, my friend has one!).
All in all, though, I wouldn't change a thing about the whole experience!!!
The rest of the trip was wonderful as well - boy, the Rainforest Room on the Dream was heaven for this Japanese girl - a hot tub on the deck that looks out into the ocean??? Nothing could be a better place to prep before the wedding!!!!
We were lucky enough to dine at the Chef's Table/Private Room in Remy the night before, and that was truly phenomenal. Purely excellent. Even the pickier epicureans in our group was astounded by how wonderful all of the dishes were and Yannick, our server, was the most fun, personable, and caring person who could have taken care of our table.
Less stellar was the Server Team from the Main Dining Rooms. Our party of 34 was split into different rooms and sections on the first two evenings from what I heard (I was only there for the second night). The second night was our wedding night, and it was a bummer we had to split up into different rooms for dinner. We complained, but there wasn't much that could be done. I don't know who assigns tables, but they surely did not do a good job with a group our size.
The last night was Animator's Palate, and we got a lot of attention from Crush, which delighted the little ones in our group (and some of the big ones too!). That redeemed some of the previous nights' gripe, but in the end, we were too busy celebrating to really care about any of the problems!
We tossed our bouquet in the lobby after dinner the last evening, and it was really fun to see others join in too.
And thanks so much to MamaPoppins for the cute surprise waiting for us at our stateroom door - it was so lovely!!!
If you have any other questions I might be able to answer, please let me know. I really wouldn't change a single thing about my wedding cruise! (...except to make sure the table assignments are given some more attention if possible!)
Here are some
wedding outfits we wore during the cruise...
