Disney Club

Please share your thoughts on the benefits of the Disney Club card. We are two families of first time cruisers going on the Wonder in November 2002. Do they offer the room credit during most of the sailings when you have a Club card? Do you know of any other discounts we may be able to use for our cruise if we purchase the Club card?

Tammy, right now there is a shipboard credit of $50 for Disney Club members for select sailing dates in April and May ONLY. It is unkown at this time if credits will be offered on future sailings.

That is the only Disney Club benefit for cruising at the moment. The DC card does offer other benefits for Walt Disney World (and Disneyland) if you are going either of those places.

I already booked my cruise with my TA for the April 20 date. Can I still join the Disney Club now and get the $50 onship credit?

We will be on the same cruise as you -- and I did that exact thing you are questioning! As soon as I heard about the club offer last week, I joined the club on line and received our number via email the next day. I called my TA and she had the credit applied to BOTH of our staterooms -- so for $40, I received a $100 credit!!
Disney did mention that the offer was only going to be made available for a certain number of people on each of the valid sailings. You may want to have your TA call to verify that it is still available for our sailing before you pay to join. Also, it may not be available with the returning cruiser credit? Let me know how you make out -- and good luck!

Actually, there's a $10.00 Off Code that is posted somewhere on this board (but you have until 2/15) to join. Therefore, for Cruiser's on certain April/May cruises, that are not DC members, I think its worth it to join DC ($29.95) and receive a $50.00 onboard credit (per stateroom).
