Disney channel games 2009 dates???

DCG 2007 was taped at Disney's Wide World of Sports April 24-27.DCG 2008 was taped April 28-May 3.IF the same pattern for 2008 is repeated in 2009,DCG 2009 will be taped April 27-May 2,but that is TOTAL speculation.
The dates for DCG 2009 probably will not be officially announced until well into 2009.In 2007 and 2008 there were no tickets required to attend the daily tapings.A ticket was required to attend the DCG Concert and the tickets were free and available to Passholders first and then to the General Public via an internet website.rmendoza187

wow how glad i am to be back and talking about the games. last year it was great to plan with everyone on the boards. but yes i agree with WEDWDW. that seems like an accurate guess, but yeah we probably won't know for sure until later. and WEDWDW always has the best info! 
IF the same procedure is used for DCG 2009 that was used for DCG 2007 and DCG 2008,you will not receive a email alerting you that DCG 2009 Concert tickets are available(at least I didn't and I am a Passholder and I didn't hear of any Passholders receiving notification).IF the procedure is the same next year,it will only be a few weeks before DCG 2009 that the DCG 2009 Concert tickets are released.There should be information at disneychannelgames.com and here on The DIS as to general time frame.Also this year there was another website used-dcgames2008.com-so there may be an additional site for information next year-we just don't know yet.

my only fear is that the games will not be open to the public.. i hope they are! i'm scared it will happen since they had contests for people to go be with the stars and stuff. oh well we'll see
Your dates look promising to coincide with at least some of DCG 2009,but there is really no way to know at this point.I hope it happens while your son is there-he would LOVE it!

Most of the famous Disney Channel Stars (along with disney channel stars that are famous in other countries) compete against eachother.
In attendance in the past..
The cast of High School Musical (along with other Disney Channel Original Movies)
"" That's So Raven
"" Cory In The House
"" Suite Life Of Zach and Cody
"" Wizards Of Waverly Place
"" Hannah Montana
The Jonas Brothers
The Cheetah Girls
etc.
Plus others make appearances and they have concerts and stuff.
Theres more to it, but that's the jist. If you have kids that watch the Disney Channel they would probably be interested.

That is a great description.I just wanted to add that the main purpose of the Disney Channel Games at WDW is to film them for a television series to be shown during the following summer on Disney Channel.The main purpose of the DCG is not to provide opportunities for Fans to interact with the DC Stars.HOWEVER,that being said,if you go to the Disney Channel Games,you WILL see some DC Stars and have a "reasonable" chance to get some autographs,etc.It is just very important to understand it is primarily a television production and to go in with reasonable expectaions.THAT BEING SAID,I attended both DCG 2007 and DCG 2008 and both were a BLAST!

We've attended the DC games for the past two years and would like to go again next year. I know I can count on these boards for information on when they will take place.
There is no impact whatsoever in the parks,UNLESS a DC Star is spotted-then you might hear some screaming.LOL

Thats great to hear but what Resort do they usually stay at ??
I would not feel comfortable posting that publicly even though it is fairly common knowledge;the reason being that things got a little out of hand(nothing real bad) a few times at their Resort last year and I don't know if the DCG organizers want the Resort publicized.As I said,it is fairly common knowledge and you may see the Resort mentioned elsewhere.Thats great to hear but what Resort do they usually stay at ??
But,of course,they could change to a different Resort next year if they feel a change is needed.
