Disney Channel Games 2008???

OK news! haha...The games maybe covered! The stars wanted more shade this year so i dont think they mean totally covered but only extras may see the games! I wouldnt plan a trip for a week just for this! Unless your an extra!

Oh well I am going anyways.

I was in field last year. We got there at around 9am, i forget when gates opened, but it wasn't until WAY later. They DO put you on the bleachers first, and then they bring you to the field -- at least they did last year.

Theres a section RIGHT in front of the stage, where all the DC Games stars came and stood to watch the concert. Right behind that was another gate, where the field ticket holders stood.

I am confused.

You and another both were at the concert last year and both had field seats but your stories are different.

YOU say they put you at the bleachers last year and that fielders got the "almost front", right behind the Disney stars.

But then the OTHER person says that only extras were in the "almost front" behind the Disney stars. And that the public fielders were way behind them.

you are trying to discourage people from attending. Why? Do you want the place to yourself? LOL

We planned (and have paid for) our trip based on being able to attend the games. I suppose it's not a giant deal - nothing says love like a spontaneous trip across the country in the middle of the school year. And, since I've listened to all of you guys, we are going to be at the parks for that time, do the P&P party at MK Friday night and I even snuck in an ADR at one of the way less crowded restaurants. PLUS! we still get to enjoy our field seats Saturday and heck - it's Disneyworld. We are staying optimistic about seeing the DC stars throughout the week. What the heck, you only live once. Even if it turns out we can't see anything, this board has been SO much fun and so informative. I can't wait to see some of you in the lime green in a couple of weeks! Keep the great info coming TSLRocks and everyone else!!

Okay, I'm wanting to email Rosemarie to get a little info on something ... what's the best email to use? :) I saw earlier that someone posted "the dc games 2008 address." What exactly is that address?? :) Thanks!!

Not sure if I'll wear this same shirt then or if I'll look for something different. The one I have on now is from my 9 year old's class trip to Tallahassee last fall. I thought of this board when I put it on.

I only have one shirt that is lime green, and I will only wear it if Kevin is on the green team, since his face is on it haha. Other than that, I guess I'll have to go find something lime green to wear...not sure what though.

But in 2007, didn't the doors open at 3 for the 5:30 start of the concert? At least that's wht I read on a WDW news site.

Yes. Doors opened at 3, but we got there around 9am to be in front of the line. We had front row for the field ticket holders. I'm not sure how early you would need to be there this time, seeing as how the concert is later.

sheesh a girl goes to work and there's only a handful of posts? What is going on here? LOL

I'm not sure what it's like everywhere else, but here in Wisconsin we are actually having a heat wave!!:cool1: It reached 70 today. YAHOO!! We've been playing outside a LOT today since it's supposed to go back to 50's and rainy tomorrow.:scared: It's like today is our day of summer and we just don't want to miss it. This weather is getting me all excited to be in Florida!!! BRING ON THE HEAT!!!

They weren't WAY behind them. I have video from the concert to prove it.
Yes, there is a gap between the stage and the field holders, because the stars were there.

That's just one of the videos. As you can see, there was only a handful of people in front of us, and there were camera men there as well.

I'm assuming there was supposed to be a link there somewhere?

I'm guessing you can't post a link because of your low post count or something?

There is a link there, I just watched the video. Soo exciting. Ok, sorry, back to outside!!

Thing is that you didn't have to have tickets to see the concert in universal. You need tickets to see the DC Games Concert. And the people with regular seats don't even have to arrive very early, seeing as how their seats are already assigned. So it'll be about 500 field seaters waiting vs the infinate amount at universal.

Just curious. Is that about the number of people that will get field tickets? 500? Becuase if that is so, I don't feel quite so nervous about what time to get there.

When we went to a JoBro Verizon performance, there was easily that # of people, nobody had tickets and we had decent placement. Although, what was frustrating was that people kept pushing to the front and then security would make us move back and then more people would cut in front. Happened about 6 times and finally some of us just refused and told the guards to pull some of the people back out of the front that had arrived late and were cutting. Sad to say, but the JoBros can bring out the worst in people!

Heck yes they can! Jo Bro fans are nuts! I went to a house of blues concert last August and me and my two friends got separated within 2 minutes (people kept saying they were meeting people up front and whatever) I wouldn't move because I knew it was crap, and then they pushed me I nearly fell over!

We always seem to meet and hang out with the really nice fans though. This girl saw that I got separated from my friends and she helped me push my way back up! Haha.

That's what I hate about standing room, you have no personal space, and I pass out really easily, so I am not looking forward to having to stand for 4+ hours, but I'll do it for Jonas haha!

No new news huh? I was hoping to come out of my meetings with some good stuff. I still think it will forthcoming on Friday or over the weekend. We'll just have to keep guessing until then.

Don't see joe on yet today? he's probably still sleeping. Maybe he'll come back with some responses to one his many emails he sent out. We'll see

We were there! Some girl pulled my DD's friend's hair to get ahead of her.
Isn't it the smell of lavendar that is calming? Maybe they should put some in the air the day of the concert!
