Disney Channel Games 2008???

We were there! Some girl pulled my DD's friend's hair to get ahead of her.
Isn't it the smell of lavendar that is calming? Maybe they should put some in the air the day of the concert!

Haha, yeah that was crazy, they had to pull people from the front row and stuff. That was probably the same girl. I don't know why they're so concerned with hurting people to get up front, Kevin, Nick and Joe still won't remember you in the morning! Haha.

I hope that the Disney Channel Games concert won't be too crazy, I'm thinking since the day tickets for this concert were available for the public was the same day that JB's burning up tour tickets went on sale, maybe the majority got side tracked with those sales versus sending the email? Haha. Then again, Florida isn't on their burning up tour...YET, so this is all we have to look forward to.

While I certainly agree that it's going to up the ante... the fan boards (my DD is a fanclub member and on most of the boards) are STILL not chatting about anything other than that the boys are participating in the games. We are watching pretty closely and they haven't put it up on their myspace page either. The calendar is clear from the Mexico show this weekend until the tour starts in May. Since that community hasn't latched on and exploded yet, I think we might escape the worst of the Jonas factor.

Yeah! I think you're right!! And I'm sure hoping it stays this way.. You know, actually, none of the "bigger" stars have announced on websites or MySpaces that they're going to be at the games. Maybe that's a crowd control thing? I hope it works!

I feel so protective of the information here. Mostly I'm afraid of the sea of hormones that follows the boys around and the thought of keeping it to a minimum is oh so appealing.

Only 55 this morning and high was only about 73. Yesterday was colder.

Considering that a week ago it was in the mid-80's every day and my kids were in the pool all the time, that's a considerable drop.

Should be good and steamy again by Saturday.

I'm not sure what it's like everywhere else, but here in Wisconsin we are actually having a heat wave!! It reached 70 today. YAHOO!! We've been playing outside a LOT today since it's supposed to go back to 50's and rainy tomorrow. It's like today is our day of summer and we just don't want to miss it. This weather is getting me all excited to be in Florida!!! BRING ON THE HEAT!!!

My daughter and her BF are absolutely members of the sea of hormones. The seven year old loves the boys but she's just as excited to see the other DC stars if she can. BTW - Kevin is my favorite too. We are making a sign for him that we will hold up during the show

Awesome! I always love the Kevin supporters, he never gets enough love! I am going to have like 50 different signs throughout the week I'm sure!

Like you all, I am fear the many Jonas-crazed girls. However, the DC Games Concert weren't advertised unlike the Burning Up Tour.

OK news! haha...The games maybe covered! The stars wanted more shade this year so i dont think they mean totally covered but only extras may see the games! I wouldnt plan a trip for a week just for this! Unless your an extra!

When the Jonas Brothers were at universal girls got there at 5am to wait to see them at 3pm. There was alot there at that time too!

I've been lurking on this thread for about a week now - thanks everyone for all of the information. We will be in Disney Apr 25-30, so DH is planning on taking DD11 and DD10 to a taping on either Mon or Tues. Does anyone have a recommendation as to which day they would see more stars? Do you think since Monday is the first day that there would be more down time with them getting things set up and working the kinks out, etc.? Also, what time should they get there and since we won't have a car, will they be able to get there using Disney transportation? Thanks for any info. I'll continue to follow this thread - you guys are great!

Hi! Glad you made the transition from lurker to poster! By the way shouldn't there be a better term than "lurker"!LOLI think all three taping days should be about the same when it comes to fan interaction.I plan to be there at 10:00 AM Monday-I think that may be the most exciting time because of the "opening day" excitement!Also the DCG Stars should be the "most relaxed" then that they will be all week and therefore more ready for fan interaction.There really is just NO way to know the best time to go-I suppose it is possible Monday could get off to a slow start,but Im think Monday morning will be the MOST exciting time when the first DCG Star is spotted!Who will it be? My first "sighting" last year was Kiely Williams. There is Disney transportation available.You will need to take a bus from your resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then transfer to the WWoS bus there.The WWoS bus is in a different area of the DHS parking lot that where the WDW resort buses go.It is kind of hard to find.When you get to DHS ask your bus driver to point you in the right direction as you exit the bus from your resort.Just an FYI,a taxi would be MUCH quicker.I never have a car and always use the Disney buses to WWoS to save money.It can be time -consuming though.

I have a question about transportation for all the vets... I heard that there are buses that go to WWoS from DHS. This is a reall good thing for us considering we won't have a car. Will they still be running these buses after the concert, since it is scheduled till 11?? And if not are there any cabs around? I am scared we are going to get stranded!

Your concerns are well-founded.There is a good chance you will be stranded.JUST KIDDING!Disney would never leave anyone "stranded"! I went to last year's DCG Concert using the Disney bus.The bus stop at DHS is kind of hard to find the first time,so be sure to ask a Cast Member for directions.If DHS is closed the WWoS bus will take you to DTD where you can transfer to your WDW resort bus.That is what happened to me last year.A cab would be MUCH faster!It was a LONG trip! I am not sure exactly where the cabs "hang around" at WWoS,but just ask any WWoS Cast Member if you are interested.

We planned (and have paid for) our trip based on being able to attend the games. I suppose it's not a giant deal - nothing says love like a spontaneous trip across the country in the middle of the school year. And, since I've listened to all of you guys, we are going to be at the parks for that time, do the P&P party at MK Friday night and I even snuck in an ADR at one of the way less crowded restaurants. PLUS! we still get to enjoy our field seats Saturday and heck - it's Disneyworld. We are staying optimistic about seeing the DC stars throughout the week. What the heck, you only live once. Even if it turns out we can't see anything, this board has been SO much fun and so informative. I can't wait to see some of you in the lime green in a couple of weeks! Keep the great info coming TSLRocks and everyone else!!

I don't know how to say this any CLEARER-we now have it in BLACK AND WHITE(well actually the colors they are using at disneychannelgames.com )-THE TAPINGS AT CHAMPION STADIUM ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC;THE "DISNEY CHANNEL" GAMES CANNOT BE TAPED WITHOUT THE "DISNEY CHANNEL" STARS BEING IN CHAMPION STADIUM AT SOME POINT DURING EACH OF THE THREE DAYS OF TAPING;THEREFORE UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO CHAMPION STADIUM BLINDFOLDED,IF YOU GO EARLY ENOUGH AND STAY LONG ENOUGH YOU WILL SEE DISNEY CHANNEL STARS!The prime fan interaction locations have NOTHING to do with the games in the outfield!YOU WILL SEE PLENTY!I just don't want you to worry! SarahV17,PLEASE share your expectations for this year's DCG from the point of view of someone who was also there last year so I won't be the only one!I am SO sad that people are thinking they won't see ANYTHING!

To me, "more shade" could mean a big tent to hang out in during the down times... I wasn't there last year, but I wouldn't think there's any way they're going to cover the entire outfield with some big tent or awning (that would have to be removed by the concert). Based on the "games" I saw them do last year, a lot of them couldn't be done in tents ... even big tents. They can't hide the whole outfield from us!
