Disney Channel Games 2008???

"I will be at the DC Games. I was very lucky that Disney has done everything they can to get me there! I am very excited to go and represent my team.

By the way, the teams don't know who they are until we get there so if anyone is posting teams and colors....they are just guessing.

PEACE-OUT!
Mitchel"

:)

haha i was just about to post that! :P i'm definitely excited, i only wish i was going!

There are over 9500 SEATS at Champion stadium...plus the 3500 on the field...that's 13000 people!

This is not looking good for me, not at all.

Last year wasn't that crowded, but this is surely not sounding good..
We were in one of the groups of "extras" for the games last year, but haven't heard anything this year:sad1: so I went ahead and scheduled my root canal for Tuesday and will pick up concert tics Monday so we can check out the games too.

If these questions have been answered can i get them copied and pasted. I'm so sorry to sound like a brat and be asking questions and not answering any, i just know nothing of the games :lmao: I've been driving myself nuts with making sure i have everything packed, charged, confirmations, purchasing stuff, etc. i'm going CRAZY! Answer these questions for me please? :lovestruc

We are going to use a car so how early should we get to the concert? we have bleacher seats not field. We can't use Disney buses because we are making a second trip just for the concert and won't be going to Disney but instead just the concert.

How likely are you to get an autograph? And last year did they have a specific "break" time in which they'd get out and sign stuff? I have a really important letter i want to give to Miley that i worked hard on and i'd love to quickly hand it to her.

For the actual games itself do you think arriving at 9:20 would be a risk? :confused3

UGH! How stressful right before i make a post i have to ask more questions but i blank out once i'm actually posting cause i have a million and one things on my mind!! :scared1: :scared:

EDIT: YES! Another question came to mind... Sarah said she won't have money to attend the parade? The parade costs MONEY?!? Or does she mean she can't afford entering the PARKS to see the parade? Just double checking here... hahahaha! Oh and one more quick thing. Does anyone have the slightest clue on where the route for the parade will be? Okay i'm really embarassed and please don't hit me with hard metal objects (hehe) but i never attended a disney parade.. i have but not in MANY MANY years. So i don't know what time i should be there? Where i should sit in the parade? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME BE PREPARED! I'll be horrified to go and find out that i don't know where the parade is or i'm too late :(

Since you have bleacher seats, you don't have to get there early. Concert opens at like 4, (mostly to keep the field people from getting to bored) so anytime after that. And since it doesn't start until like 8, I'd take your time. I'm not sure how parking will be, but WWoS is a BIG place, so I'm sure they have enough parking.

Autographs during the concert - I don't know I didn't go to the concert last year, but during the games there was no set time for autographs. You just have to hope the come over and sign, which, last year, Miley did NOT sign during the day I went.

I think 9:20 would be fine. There might be a line, but I don't think they'll ever reach maximum capacity for the GAMES. But the concert is DEFINITELY going to be packed.

The parade is free, but it's like 70 dollars to get into the park, which I don't have. The parade starts at 2:15 (sorry I don't know the route, I thinkg WEDWDW has speculated, or found one though) so I would get there anytime before 2:15.

Are you possitive there are 3,000 people on the field!?! AHHH...LOL.. We are getting there as early as possible....

This truly terrifies me. I wasn't prepared for that amount of people to be on the field AT ALL. I would have requested seats, I think, if I'd known that ahead of time.

I'm the person that always buys the most expensive ticket available to a show/concert and I have NEVER been to a "general admission" type of production of this size. I'm the nicest, most easy-going person you'll ever meet but I'm afraid of the pushy, disrespectful, people that show little regard to little ones at times like this. I'd hate to be sitting in jail next to the lady charged last week with battery @ WDW because someone on the field decided it would be OK to run over the top of my 8 year old to get a better spot on the grass.

I also might have extra tickets available because while I can prepare myself for this - the others coming with me will not be happy about it, I'm afraid!

Start praying for me now!! lol :sad2: ;)

fyi - there will be approx 3500 people on the field.

i been reading all of you guys is post but then i got sick and when i came back on there was like a hundred post and then you guys where talking about a prade at DHS on the 30th at 2:15 i was just i was just wondering how you guys found out that there was a prade and where it is and what time it is thanks

ahhh guys this might be old news but I still feel special he answered to my comment.. :)

Hi Hal! will there be any chance of "meeting" or getting autographs from the stars? Also, do they have a schedule of what games will be played on what day?
Thanks!

HAL'S NOTE: I don't think anything is arranged, but there's always that possibility when you're that close.

Oh man, I am scared. SOO MANY PEOPLE. Yikes. I'm sure Disney will have a plan to make sure things don't get TOO out of control though. If there are 3500 people on field then it will be CRAZY. Hopefully field is divided into sections just to make it easier. Probably not, but I am hoping.....

I'm not going to complain too much, 'cause we're going when lots of others aren't. BUT - 3500 people and me toting the seven year old... I'm really nervous about keeping her safe in the middle of that. LXH said that they aren't opening the parking lot until 4:00... wondering if that means folks that are taking alternate transport to WWOS (Dis bus, taxi, etc) are also unable to congregate prior to 4:00.

Side note - I saw an earlier post that said Friday night activities are "not open to the general public"... I'm hoping you super sleuths can discover the what/where those activities are!

thanks all - as usual!

Wow, good luck. I'm sure the fans won't be crazy enough to harm a seven year old. Disney is pretty high class, they'd do something if things got out of hand.

I wouldn't be so sure. Jonas Brothers fans will do just about anything to get close, it's ridiculous, thankfully, I'm not like that. If I don't get front right away, then I am going to have to find a less crowded place, sit and watch the screens, cause I can't stand too long, I pass out. I feel bad for all the little kids, though!

WOW so went it was 500 field tickets I was worried now that I know it's 3,500 im SOOOOOOO NERVOUS!!!! but I was wondering... my friend got seats and offered to trade me... do you think I should trade????

Oh my. I've never been to any Jonas Brothers concert and neither has anybody I know, so I have no idea how it is going to be.

Even if there are 3500 fielders, you have to keep in mind that the fielder in the very back of the field is going to be in front on the person with a front row seat.....I think. Right?

From the looks of last years concert, there was some extra space, but I can't be sure. If we're packed like sardines, it's definitely not going to be any fun for anyone.

The stage is pretty long, it isn't like we are going to be in a single file line. So lets take the length of the stage and meaure how many people can fit across it, then divide 3500 by THAT number and I guess you'd get how many rows of people there will be in the field.

Wow, as if.

This is chaos. :sad1:

I think it would be unfair for those driving if everyone else was able to get there but since they drove they have to wait at the gate in their car.

I'm guessing no one will be allowed in until 4, it's only fair.
