and there are other venues at WWoS - so I would think that they would maybe have the complex open, but the gates to Champion Stadium would remain closed?

I think it would be unfair for those driving if everyone else was able to get there but since they drove they have to wait at the gate in their car.

I'm guessing no one will be allowed in until 4, it's only fair.

Yes, because last year we didn't even know the Jonas Brothers were going to be there, they just happened to be doing sound check later that day or something. This year, however, they're playing in the games + the concert, and this year information seems to be more attainable than last year. It's here, there's two sites for it, it's on the AP site, I'm sure, and of course people reading it here pass it on, so the word's out. Last year I just found the site on accident, and it was pretty hidden.

And many Jonas fans will go hoping to see just the brothers (or in some cases see their future "husbands" ), and then everyone else who is there for all the other DC Stars will probably be smooshed out of the way! Haha.

You make some GREAT points about the possible size of thie year's crowd.I am getting a "little" concerned myself. The one thing we have going for us is that last year,in order to receive Concert tickets,Passholders HAD to attend a taping and "work" a four hour "shift".Since this year passholder attendance is not required maybe not as many Passholders will attend the tapings.Last year was SO wonderful-it was just enough people to create a "festive atmosphere",but not enough to make you feel "crowded".The main thing that has me concerned about the possible size of the crowd is the participation of JB!One thing is for sure-we will find out when we get there!

the one thing is that Disney usually does everything well - so I'm sure there will be some sort of plan for those on the field. I guess we'll find out Saturday when people start picking up their tix and will see what is in their envelopes (besides the DIS All-Access passes, of course! LOL)

P.S. For those of you who are new to the thread - the all-access pass is a joke! LOL

if there is any way, would the stars be able to take a SUPER QUICK picture with some of their fans??

Cameras and video recording equipment are strictly prohibited from Champion Stadium per disneychannelgames.com.However they were prohibited last year and there were still MANY cameras there and they were being USED.The DC Stars did not seem to mind AT ALL having pictures taken.Some people would pose with them from our side of the "rail".At times some of the ushers would get very upset with people taking pictures and make them put their cameras away.I have no idea what enforcement of the camera ban will be like this year,but they are not "SUPPOSED" to be in Champion Stadium.

I'm not going to complain too much, 'cause we're going when lots of others aren't. BUT - 3500 people and me toting the seven year old... I'm really nervous about keeping her safe in the middle of that. LXH said that they aren't opening the parking lot until 4:00... wondering if that means folks that are taking alternate transport to WWOS (Dis bus, taxi, etc) are also unable to congregate prior to 4:00.

Side note - I saw an earlier post that said Friday night activities are "not open to the general public"... I'm hoping you super sleuths can discover the what/where those activities are!

How many days of tapings did you go to?????

I went to two of the three taping days for three to four hours each day and I attended the 2007 DCG Concert. I was "focused" on getting autographs,that was my "mission". That is why I got so many.Getting autographs at the Disney Channel Games is "work",but it is "fun work" if that makes sense.Sometimes I would stand in one spot for thirty or forty minutes without seeing a DCG Star.Sometimes the autographs would come from more than one Star at the same time,other times it would just be one Star.Getting autographs can be very competitive-you really have to "work" at it.

I am getting really scared about this whole thing. It seems very complicated.

This is why I am making a list of questions to ask the person at the ticket counter when I go to claim my tickets on the 27th.

1. Approximately how many people will be on the field?
2. Will there be any autograph chances at all during the concert (including down time)?
3. Will the field be organized at all? Or just us mushed together?

Any other questions for the list?

I would be happy seeing any dc star!!! i am going to stay the whole day because i am only going for one day (not counting the parade day!)

So the only thing I am a little confused about is where are we? like do we just stay in the seating area? are you supposed to just stay in the same area the whole time or can you move around?

Judging from the "tone" of Mr. Sanderson's comments in Hal's Blog,my SPECULATION is that the grassy area will be open.You can go anywhere in Champion Stadium you want until you come to a "rail"-either a permanent Champion Stadium "rail" or a temporary "rail" in place just for the Disney Channel Games. As for my Undisclosed Location,let me think about that.I am concerned if I announce it here it will lose its "uniqueness' shall we say!LOL I hate to be selfish,but it is such a "neat" little spot.I will tell you this-it is within the public accessable portion of Champion Stadium-oh man! now I have given it away!LOL

If these questions have been answered can i get them copied and pasted. I'm so sorry to sound like a brat and be asking questions and not answering any, i just know nothing of the games I've been driving myself nuts with making sure i have everything packed, charged, confirmations, purchasing stuff, etc. i'm going CRAZY! Answer these questions for me please?

We are going to use a car so how early should we get to the concert? we have bleacher seats not field. We can't use Disney buses because we are making a second trip just for the concert and won't be going to Disney but instead just the concert.

How likely are you to get an autograph? And last year did they have a specific "break" time in which they'd get out and sign stuff? I have a really important letter i want to give to Miley that i worked hard on and i'd love to quickly hand it to her.

For the actual games itself do you think arriving at 9:20 would be a risk?

UGH! How stressful right before i make a post i have to ask more questions but i blank out once i'm actually posting cause i have a million and one things on my mind!!

EDIT: YES! Another question came to mind... Sarah said she won't have money to attend the parade? The parade costs MONEY?!? Or does she mean she can't afford entering the PARKS to see the parade? Just double checking here... hahahaha! Oh and one more quick thing. Does anyone have the slightest clue on where the route for the parade will be? I think SarahV17 did a fantastic job answering your questions.My SPECULATION about the DCG Parade is tha it MAY be a "pre-parade" for Block Party Bash because the DCG Parade starts at 2:15 and the Block Party Bash starts at 3:00.If so,the Block Party Bash route begins close to Sid Cahuenga's shop,turns left up Hollywood Boulevard,then turns left at the "Hat",proceeds past The ABC Theatre/future American Idol show,turns right and goes past Star Tours and then turns left and exits close to Tattoine Traders.Again,THAT IS JUST A GUESS!We really don't have any information.Also I wrote a post yesterday that you may find useful.SarahV17 has called it the "Holy Guacamole" Post!LOL It is on Page 113 or will it be too much trouble for you to move your mouse to 113 and click? I would think that people who want to eat at The All-Star Cafe will be allowed in no matter the form of transportation.Also,if I am not mistaken the Race Expo will still be taking place.I am unsure of how Disney will differentiate between who is going to what event. I have LOOKED AND LOOKED for the "earlier post" you are referring to.Could you please point me in the right direction?I think I know what event is being referred to,but I would like to read the post.Thanks.
