Disney Channel Games 2008???

I needed one more set of red team trading cards. My younger DD had gotten the red ones in her kids' meal on Sunday, then I bought 2 each of green, blue and yellow last night. I still needed one more set of red for my older DD.

We were at Walmart today and the girls went over to the Subway that's in the store while I paid for some stuff (looked for Hannah 3D glasses but they were all out). The Subway cashier "didn't know" if they could just sell the cards. Well, in the same shopping center is another freestanding Subway. I went in there and asked the guy if I could just buy a pack of cards. My 10 year old was with me, my elder DD was in the car. The guy told us that he didn't have many cards left, he had to get some from another store - wonder if that means they are going fast? Anyhow, he found a pack of red cards and asked my DD if they were for her. She said no, I have the whole set, they're for my older sister. He said "well, I can't sell them to you. But, I can *give* them to you! Just come back and buy lunch some time."

ummm i don't know. i have a verizon phone, but my username/verizon email thing won't work... but you can still enter the contest without having to enter that information.
you have to click the ad or wherever you find a link, then it will usually ask you for your birthday and other info, but i don't think you need verizon for that part

unfortunately you can only access it if you are a Verizon Online Broadband customer... would be nice if they made it available to all

We have verizon cell and phone. We tried for internet bundle and the website said we were eligible, but we received no service. After a great deal of work, they deemed we could not receive verizon internet service. So I can't be an online customer.

My daughter is driving me crazy wanting to go back for next years games even if we do not win tickets to the concert again. So my question is...
2008 they were in April in 2007 were they in April also?
Trying to plan ahead and book rooms and save $$$ So if I don't go over spring break but plan a 2 week vacation around the same times maybe we will get lucky early on getting a good resort etc

I just returned yesterday from my trip to Walt Disney World.It was really fun to see the Camp Rock merchandise and the little Camp Rock "mini-billboards" on the WDW buses."We Rock" was also on the playlist at the Playhouse Disney Dance Party during Evening Extra Magic Hours at Hollywood Studios-the girl leading the dancing was really good.I also had the opportunity to meet Meg Crofton which was AMAZING,but I didn't get a chance to ask her about DCG 2009!LOLI think someone should write a song called "I Got Them Post Walt Disney World Vacation Blues"!LOL I am so excited about the debut of DCG 2008! Also I can confirm that,as of yesterday afternoon,they have not yet begun setting up Champion Stadium for DCG 2009.

So, here's the big mystery - it appears that the DC Games will be returning to Orlando ...the question is - will tickets be required to see the games? Radio Disney has a sweepstakes called "Quest for the Cup" that started July 15. Here's an excerpt from the official rules:

The Grand Prize is a trip to the 2009 Disney Channel Games in Orlando, FL! Trip includes roundtrip coach class airfare for four (4) from an airport near the Grand Prize Winner's residence to the event location as determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsor; three (3) nights' first class hotel accommodations (one room quadruple occupancy) at a hotel of Sponsor's choosing; four (4) tickets per day to the 2009 Disney Channel Games; and roundtrip ground transportation between the destination airport and the hotel. Approximate Retail Value of the Grand Prize is Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000). Final actual value may be considerably higher or lower depending on point of departure, destination, airfare, and hotel accommodations at the time of booking and travel. Dates and times of travel will be determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

Judging from the $4,000 ARV,I think the "tickets per day to the 2009 Disney Channel Games" refers to Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets.Using $300.00 per person for airline tickests and $400.00 per night for Deluxe Resort accommodatioins,that still leaves $1600.00 for "tickets to the 2009 Disney Channel Games",so either that is for Theme Park tickets or DCG 2009 is going to be EXPENSIVE!

Anyway, I thought these dates may be of interest to all you DC Games fans. The 2009 Cheerleading Worlds will be held at WWoS, Epcot and DHS venues on April 25-26. I couldn't imagine the Games being held at the same time. The World Championship draws a HUGE crowd. Happy planning!

Hi! Yes,I just returned Friday afternoon and I also thought the crowds were manageable.The afternoon lightning storms were INCREDIBLE! Did you get to ride Toy Story Midway Mania?Thanks for the great information!The Cheerleading and Dance Worlds dates could indicate the same pattern for the Disney Channel Games next year as they were this year with the Games immediately following the Worlds.That would indicate the dates for DCG 2009 as April 27-May 2.Therefore I hereby make the first "official unofficial" prediction that DCG 2009 will be held from Monday April 27 thru Saturday May 2!
