Disney Channel Games 2008???

The reply from DCGames said that the games would have no audience this year. It doesn't say that it is open to the public - at least the one I got didn't. That's why I'm still confused. I think you guys are all probably right and taping will be open but the information seems to contradict that.

Hello Blondie! Last year they RECRUITED audience members.For example,Annual Passholders HAD to work a "shift" as an audience member in order to receive DCG Concert tickets.I think they mean they will have no "recruited audience" this year. Evidently,they have "acquired" all of the people they need to cheer during the actual games out on the field.All I know is that it is evident from several sources that the public CAN attend the tapings in the stadium.In your email reply,for instance,it says the public is welcome to come by and take a peek.In order to take a peek it has to be open to the public.Right?Just because the public may not be considered "part of the audience" this year seems irrelevant to me.If you are IN the stadium you CAN see the DCG Stars and if it is at all like last year can interact with them for brief periods of time.Got it?A short quiz will follow.

My theory is that it will be Miley Cyrus AND her dad Billy Ray Cyrus.Billy Ray was participating in Dancing with the Stars last year and was not able to attend.

Remember,I said "theory". It really would surprise me a lot though if Miley Montanna was not a part of the Games and Concert.It could also be some of the HSM gang,but they are to begin filming HSM3 soon if not already,so I don't know how that will effect their participation in the DCG.

I know for the games if you want up close seats (or seats around where they are filming, so you can be on TV) you had to be there early...
I just want to be up close for the concert!

Forgive me since I've posted this before, but I want to do anything possible. We live in Mexico, and have been planning this Disney trip for almost 2 years. My kids are huge Disney Channel fans. I found out too late about the concert and didn't get tickets. I was so bummed that after all my planning and research I didn't see this coming. I'm really, really hoping that someone who got them, or someone that you know that has some, and is not going to use them for any reason, or is not able to pick them on, on the requested dates, please let me know. My kids will be just thrilled if they knew about this. I'm not even telling them what they're going to miss. We will be there 04/26-05/05, so we could use them perfectly.

Well, as some of you may know - Miley will be filming a movie sometime in Spring of 2008 Hannah Montana: The movie back in Tennessee i guess it really depends all on her schedule. As of now, Miley does not know anything of her attending the DCgames2008, but it COULD be a possibilty! Does anyone have extra tickets they would be willing to give up? I tried getting tickets through the pass holder website and through the other one. I couldn't get any tickets and this was going to be a surprise for my two girls. My one daughter is graduating this year and LOVES the Jonas Brothers. She has never been able to see them before and I was hoping she would.

OH WOW!I did know that she was going to be filming a movie,but did not know filming was going to start so soon!That could explain why she was not announced as a performer along with The Cheetah Girls and Jonas Brothers.The DCG just won't seem the same without Miley Cyrus!Also,HSM3 is beginning filming soon or has already started,so I guess it is possible none of the HSM stars will be there either!WOW,without Miley Cyrus and the HSM stars,the DCG would lack A LOT of the "excitement" they had last year.Maybe there is a chance that Miley and the HSM stars will be there.I guess we really won't know until the list of stars is released. So far I have received most of my information from Hal's Blog and the passholder site. I also have checked every website known at this time and have yet to find concrete information. Kudos to this site. I joined this because the people involved seem to know what they are talking about. I have heard of a fanfest on another site. I have not heard of a fanfest from anyone official at this time. I, like others, emailed wdprbroadcasttapings@disney.com last night and had yet to get a reply. Not even automated. I believe these are the actual tickets to the events. If they are giving tickets out, I fear that it may not be as fan friendly as it has in the past. Hopefully if they are not going to keep this event fan friendly then I hope the do a fan fest because we are there to see the celebs of the disney channel. I just wanted to say keep up the good work and keep us posted. I will update you all as soon as I hear any other information. Thanks.
