Saw a good deal at BJs tonight, $100 GC for 95.69(I think, dont remember exact change). Anyway, here is my thinking, if I purchase a few of these with Disney Visa for next trip to WDW, I get the rewards for every $100 spent, plus $4 and some change for the difference in savings. My plan would be to pay off visa as soon as bill comes in, no interest this way.

So here is my question, if we go to say Ohana, its going to cost over $100 to eat there for us, if I had them the gift card and then pay the remaining balnce, with another gift card, cash, or what ever way i decide at that moment, will this work? Or on a minor scale, lets say on one of these gift cards, I have 1.25 left on one, can I use this to pay for a 2.50 bottle of water understanding I pay the remaining balance with cash, etc.?

Reason I ask, we had debit visa type cards, from Michelin and from Verizon, and if the total was over what was on the card, we couldnt use it on a trip to WDW last week. Dont want to get stuck in this same position where I leave a lot on the table

You can take the gift cards to a Disney store aftee they have been activated to combine them. I bet you can do that at the park somewhere too

I believe you can room charge (assuming you are staying onsite) and then pay your balance with the gift cards. We have done that with out Disney rewards and another gift card on our last trip

I wasnt even thinking in the regard, but makes sense

Those rebate visas have to be charged the exact amount. If the bill is for $7 and you only have $3 on the visa, ask the cashier to charge that amount to that card.
You know when you use one of those terminals at checkout and it asks if the amount is ok? This is where you hit no and tell the cashier to change the amount.

I've had no problem using multiple gift cards and/or using gift cards with small balances left on them. When you use a card, if it has a balance left the balance shows on you r receipt. You can also use the Disney gift card app which shows the remaining balances on the individual cards. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like the Starbubucks app which lets you pay with your phone...(or it didn't when I used it).

I didn't think it was possible to do this. I know that you can take a Disney GC to the Disney Store and have them add more $ to it, but I don't think that they can combine GCs or allow you to buy a $$$$ GC with several $ GCs.

Has anyone had any recent success combining GCs at the Disney Store? Because if it's possible to do it now, I have a stack of them that I'd like to reduce down to just a few cards.

I use Disney Gift Cards at WDW all the time. The last day I always make my last purchase combining GCs to use them up and then pay the rest in cash or with my Disney Visa. Never a problem.

Question regarding Disney cards at sam's club - what sort of possible discount would I see and does every store have them? I don't have a membership but my in-laws do.

There is like a 4% discount on Disney Gift Cards at BJ's - I've started buying a $50 card now and then to stock up for a future trip. I also use my Disney Visa, which earns me reward $, that I put on a Reward card before I go on my WDW trips.

I regularly use CG from BJs. You can use multiple in a transaction or combine one with a credit card or cash. I have used gift cards with $0.08 on them. (Well, it is my $0.08 and I'm not letting it go to waste!) I usually apologize to the cast member on those transactions. :goodvibes

Its been a few days since I read these posts but want to thank all for the replies, great suggestions and insights!

My SAMs sells $50 Disney GC's for $46.56

The SAMs at my parents area was the same price. Thy only had like 5 left though and no stickers labeling an area for them.
Same at my SAMs - no price label on hanger - I had to take to register to get price. I was happy to hear the price was better than the target red card discounted price of $47.50.

Too funny! That was my exact thought too (re: target)
