Disney but make it Paris! ~ an August 2025 adventure. updated 09/08

Glad I trolled the TR Main Screen! Happy to be reading another Suse report. Lots of exciting plans already. I know nothing at all about DLP so will be excitedly following along for tips and hints!

Bonjour les amis et bienvenue!

We recently returned from the trip of a lifetime to France! We were celebrating my lovely husband's recent retirement in May as well as our champagne wedding anniversary (26 years on the 26th of June). Our main focus of the trip was a stunning week-long river cruise along the Seine through Normandy with AmaWaterways. We had two days in Paris pre cruise and wrapped up our trip with three days at Disneyland Paris!

At Disneyland Paris we chose to stay onsite at Sequoia Lodge and I will say the grounds were absolutely lovely with a true northwest feel.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we left our luggage with Bell Services and headed off to explore. As DLP has a much smaller footprint, buses are really not necessary. It was a 10 minute walk from our room through Disney Village (their version of Disney Springs) to arrive at security for the parks. You only clear security once for both parks. The walk along to Disney Village is very pretty with Lake Disney fronting Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay and the Marvel Hotel.

Disney Village is small with an assortment of shops although it feels as though pretty much the same merchandise is sold in each one. Trying to find something unique proved to be challenging. Or a Remy pin at all but that's a story for a later time. We browsed a little in the few shops that were open early and I did get myself a pair of DLP ears but then headed off towards Disneyland Park. You enter the park directly under the Disneyland Hotel! As we had already gone through security we simply scanned our tickets and went through.

Of course I had to have a photo rocking my new ears near the park entrance.

Summer 2025 was the Disney music festival and this lent a really lovely streetsmosphere to the park. We loved the dancing and singing with Mickey at the park entrance.

This was really fun and upbeat and everyone was dancing and laughing. It was a terrific vibe to walk into and enjoy.

And here she is.....the prettiest girl in the room. I will say the Disneyland Paris castle is stunning.


Now we were off to ride the Paris equivalent of my beloved Haunted Mansion....the highly touted Phantom Manor. Would it be frighteningly delightful or frighteningly dreadful? That's next!
