disney baby shower ideas!!!!!!

Hi my fellow disney fanatics!!!!
well, DH and I have recently announced that we are now expecting our first little one! WOO HOO!!!!
We are very happy etc, only 13 weeks at the moment but we are already sooooo excited!
My sister came over this morning and said wether I like it or not she is throwing me a big baby shower! I know these are HUGE in the US, and they are becoming more popular in the UK but I just never thought about it! So we have been googling like mad this morning and have come up with the following,
should be 6 weeks before, which would make mine mid june, and a THEME is a good idea!
so that gives us 20 weeks to plan! now I know that really 8 weeks or so is about what most people have, if that, but hey, its something for us to PLAN and get excited about!!! and from my experience on here I think people on this forum are the same as me and LIKE TO PLAN!!!! its sooooo much part of the fun!!!
So, my FIRST and ONLY demand really was "DISNEY THEMED!!!!!!"
apart fromt he fact that I LOVE disney, I think this would be an amazing theme for a baby related party!!! how could it not be!!
so I am appealing for any ideas or tips from people who may have been to or held themselves a similar themed party, food, games, decorations all with a disney theme! will prob hold outside in the garde, (weather dependent, this is england after all!!!)
and of course, all the amazingly creative and imaginitvie people that frequent these boards!!!!

Just by the way, you are not supposed to plan your own baby shower. Probably because you will be receiving gifts so if you plan your own it looks like a gift grab.

Anyway, here are a couple of games that I have done at showers and maybe you can fit Disney in somehow:

A quiz of what baby animals are called. So for instance: "what is the name for a baby swan?" (A: Cignet) Maybe you could use Disney characters or something.

Speed diapering of stuffed animals either blindfolded or wearing oven mitts (or both). Either you could use Disney stuffed animals or maybe get some disney fabric and use that for the blindfolds. (neat spin, flip someone's stuffed animal upside down and enjoy watching them put the diaper on the head).


I'll post more if I can think of any. But I would just google shower games and try and adapt them to the theme.

Yeah, your SIL should be doing all the planning, but unless it's a surprise shower, usually they ask the mom-to-be for preferences, etc.

What about making a list of all the character names and having people name your baby (have them do a first and middle name for a boy and a first and middle for a girl) using those names. You could pick your favorite and give that person a prize (prizes here usually cost anywhere from $2 - $10 each, depending on the budget for the shower).

Favors: Too bad you can't get some of those little Mickey head soaps. Those would be ideal wrapped in some tulle with a Disney ribbon.

This will be fun. I'm going to think on it a bit more and submit some ideas.

I like the shower game ideas so far. I wouldn't decorate over the top with preprinted Disney character supplies. Instead, decorate in a hidden Mickey decor. Maybe make the mints or cookies Mickey shaped? I am sure that there are great ideas if you google Disney party foods. You might have to transfer them from birthday to baby shower colors. If you find out the baby is a girl, add in a bit of princess theming.

Also, if you or a friend have a Cricut cutter, I bet that you could find some Disney shapes to work with for the party.
