Hey there, hi there, ho there,

If you are a fan of Disney animation or the history of the Disney Studios, you may enjoy the article "Coloring the Kingdom" beginning on page 281 of the March 2010 issue of Vanity Fair Magazine. The article takes an excellent behind-the-scenes look at what it was like to become an Ink and Paint Girl and life in the work-a-day world of the Disney Studios in the '30s and '40s. There are some great vintage photographs.

The article is available online, but Disney fans may find the magazine price of $5.99 a worthy addition to their collection.

There are a lot of articles on the Academy Award films and an astonishing number of ads!

Thanks for letting us know about this article. The colored pencils I bought my daughter at the Walt Disney Family Museum were labeled "Ink and Paint Department," which made me wonder what it was like to be a real ink and paint girl from the '20s.

I read that article and it was very interesting!

I think the museum's line of "Ink and Paint Department" art supplies are reasonably priced and packaged very attractively. They would make really nice gifts. I hope you enjoy the article.
