Disney Announces New Premier Passport

Would you mind sharing that number? My kids still have not received theirs yet. :confused3

I am sorry, my DW has it not me, but I have a update, and it is a good one. So DW gives a call this morning, and first let me say that she is now conviced that the WDW CMs were trained on all this and the DLR people were not. The person on the other side, Mike, said we were not on the list. She gave the info, and Mike told her to go back to DL before my pass expires and go get our PP. According to Mike a lot of people were left of the master list that he was able to access. The problem is they close at 4:30 EDT so we need to get there early tomorrow, shoudn't be to hard as DW is off at 11 tomorrow so we should be there by noon. So the good news is tomorrow I should be the proud owner of a PP, the bad news is I am sure the CM will not know what to do (basied on what has happened so far) and will probably not want to call FL. Still here is hoping I get some true Disney service. The thing is, why were we not issued our passes last Friday, DW asked Mike this, and his answer is that they should have.

Well the battle continues. We could not get our PP because when they try to issue it, it says they owe us a little over 300 bucks. We are supposedly getting contacted by someone named Ronnie who will tell us how to finaly get the passes that are due to us. The AP center said that we would be getting them. I hope so, we really should not have to go through this.

Well I was hoping to get mine in the mail before we leave for DL tomorrow morning!:sad2: But that didn't happen. :sad2:

I SHOULD be on the list since I have a DL Deluxe AP that doesn't expire until May 30th, and a WDW AP that expires next January! :confused3
But like Cheryl said in a pp, who knows where they mailed it??

Now I have to deal with it when we get to the parks. :headache: Should I just go to the AP center? If I have both AP's in hand will I have a problem?

I'm also going to bookmark the DisneyParks Blog on my iPhone so if I have any issues I can show them the Press Release. :)

Doesnt matter if you show the press release.. The DL cast members are just not up to speed. at least not as of yesterday when I left back home. Good luck! just remeber to tell cast members to type in the numbers for discounts if it's still not swiping. Most cast members were sent a memo but they have never actually seen the pass....and the memo was very limited and not flagged as important something to make sure you remember lol

Ahhh Becci--I'm sorry you didn't get it in time! It's probably in Timbuktoo.

I am going in a couple of weeks and hope they have the kinks worked out by then--but I'm not holding my breath!

Bad show Disneyland!

Ok, I just got back from DLR and here's what happened. I was able to activate my PP that I received in the mail, but the letter says go to the ticketing booth, but actually you just go to the AP processing center.

Both my kids did not get their WDW/DLR AP's upgraded because: If you did not receive your PP in the mail, DLR will not be able to process one for you. They do not have the ability to do so. They will email WDW for them to do the processing and you will have to wait for it to come in the mail. :sad2:

I will be calling WDW's AP hotline tomorrow to make sure my kids get their's before their DLR AP's expire. Ugh! :headache:

This is what Ted, and he was really helpful told us as well. He also said ours should arrive next week as he was going ti mail WDW as soon as he was done taking all the info. That was not sarcasim by the way, Ted was awesome.

Thanks everyone for your info!

Ok - so from what Disneyland Mama is saying happened to her I really shouldn't even waste my time going to the AP center. :sad2: I'll just use my Deluxe AP and call WDW next week when we get back home (if the PP doesn't arrive before then.)
The only advantage to having the PP right now would be the extra discount on food, right? :confused3
But we are only going to 2 days I'm not going to fret over it - not worth the time and energy.

DLR and WDW is a nice start for this program. Does anyone think that they will eventually add DLRP, TDL, HKDL, and even SDLR when it opens?

It's certainly a possibility for all of those resorts, with the exception of Tokyo Disney Resort.

Tokyo Disney Resort is owned and operated by Oriental Land Company, Ltd., a Japanese corporation, through a licensing and franchise agreement with The Walt Disney Company.

They have a very successful Annual Passport program in place already for Japanese residents, and would probably be unwilling (not to mention unable) to accept the additional Guest load that would come with any expansion of Disney Premier Passport benefits.

Cast Member Main Entrance Passes already include entry to all Disney Parks worldwide (again, with the exception of Tokyo Disney Resort), so the infastructure is certainly in place.

Ted helped us, too. :thumbsup2 But now I'm on the line with the WDW AP hotline and they are saying what Ted told us was incorrect. DLR CAN do the processing, WDW will not do it unless you are there. WDW is calling DLR for me right now as I hold.

I'll post more as soon as I hear more. Ugh, again. :headache:

EDA: WDW spoke to DLR and DLR CAN do the upgrade. The manager at Plaza Pavilion is expecting me to come today and get the kids passes processed. I will post when I get back. Wish me luck!

I just want to confirm what you wrote as I will probably be going to DL in a few weeks. You said to go the the AP processing center. So I can still enter the park with my DL AP? I am assuming it is still active until I activate my Premier pass? I don't want to waste time in the ticket booth line to find out that I have to go somewhere else. Thanks.

That is correct. Don't waste your time at the ticket booth, head straight to the AP Processing center.

Well, round 2 with DL didn't go well. For those who did not receive the PP in the mail, you need to call the AP Hotline and find out if you are on the "list". If you are not on the "list", you will need to contact Ronnie at the DL AP Processing Center so she can research and verify you have both AP's and get you a PP.

cccdisney - I would call if I were you. If you haven't received it yet, you probably weren't on the list. HTH.

Ted tried to do the prossesing on our second trip to the AP center. The problem is the computer system wants to charge us over 300 per person. Ted said he knew that was not right, but everyone he spoke to said they had no idea how to change that. He felt the best thing to do was to take all of our pass info to both resorts and send it to WDW to be issued and mailed out. He was very clear that we should not have to pay a thing. Also I had my friends mom look into it as she used to work at the AP center as a lead, and now works solely back stage. I got a message back from my friend that we are in the computer now for a PP. Interesting how this all is going. The problem I face is that I am meeting friends next Friday, for a little park time before pin trading night, and now I can't even get into the parks as my DLR pass expires tomorrow.

That is interesting. I wonder how they got you on the list so quickly since Ronnie isn't supposed to be in until Monday. :confused3 I think I'll call tomorrow to see if my kids got on the list as well. :thumbsup2
Let us know if you receive yours in the mail or anything new. Thanks! :)

Well the txt message that my friends mom sent said we are now in the computer for a new pass. I think she took care of it after I asked my friend to ask hi mom to look into it if she had time. Both Sandy and Ted said, the first time we were there, that Ronnie would call us today, that did not happen, probably because we were told to go back and see Ted. Anyway I though you were going to see the manager? How did that go? If have not gone yet send me a PM.

From reading what's been posted here, it has nothing to do with Ronnie.

I'd say aan1701's friend's mom took care of them.

ETA: Looks like I was typing as aan1701 was posting.

I'm going to wait to see if Ronnie calls. Let me know if she calls you. Maybe Ted didn't realize she was off until Monday. The "manager" had no idea what I was talking about and claimed she never received a call from WDW. I think both sides are pushing it off to the other until they figure it out.

If you read, you'd notice Ronnie's name was given to both of us, so apparently Ronnie does have something to do with this. Unless you know something we don't?
