I may see you there, especially if my kids don't get theirs in the mail by then.Thank you very much for your help. I will do that. I will also be coming armed with my Thomas Smith, he is the Director if Social Media for The Walt Disney Company, question and answers from Disneyparks.com. As well as my mom and her pass, my unexpired DLR pass and my WDW pass.
well i bought our passes on Sunday night.... took us the whole wishes show to process as the cast member had trouble and only my 6 year old re-took a picture!! Monday tried to get in the park... had to wait for a supervisor to override the system to let us in....... we were issued 1 day passes to use for FP use....I hope they fix this soon. It was kind of embarrasing at first. the kid behind us in line said.. what did they do get counterfiet tickets. And I looked at him and said no we purchased the premier annual passes.. and then the cast member began to explain that because the passes were so new they were not working in the system yet. and that in a normal situation he could override but for this pass he could not.
I went to guest services to alert them to make note when we exited the park at 1:00 pm on Monday and the lady misunderstood and said Florida passes don't work here in Disneyland.. i said no this is the premier pass. She looked at it and had to make a call.. She had no idea what it was.......AT GUEST SERVICES.. I understand not all employees will know but guest services absolutely should.

Case and point. CM's are always the last to know!I had a feeling Disney jumped the gun on this. You'd think they'd have all systems up and running before distribution.

My kids didn't get theirs either. I will be there on Friday if they don't come before then, which I have a feeling they won't.Just a quick update, when I checked the mail before I headed out their was no passes.
Well an interesting development. The passes that we cancelled on Friday, showed up at my mothers home. Weird. I have this feeling I am going to have to go Friday and fight with them more. Wish they would get their act together.
I could not agree more with the two quotes above. First off, I have not recived one mailing from DLR in two years now except when my new pass comes in. No renewal notices, nothing. I know some stuff is one per household, but really, not even a renewal notice. When it comes to the new pass, I think they should have dud their anoucement, said pass would be on sale one month from the anoucement, that should give them time to train, and instal what is needed. Yes I too think they jumped the gun big time.
According to DW, they have not charged the Credit Card yet. She checks everyday. My mom said hers came from a address in FL and that goes with what I thought, that FL us doing most of work on this. We are going to give FL a call tomorrow. Looks like I will have to go down on Friday, I really did not want to go, and fight with them.Disneyland_Mama said:My kids didn't get theirs either. Did they charge you for the renewal?![]()

I would trust what the main company is saying vs the CMs at DLR...and I would be very careful about continuing to have them mess with the account, because it could easily, depending on their systems, halt something that was likely happening automatically.
I am using the word fight as more of a generic term. I know you get more with sugar than vinager.Sherry E said:I think, just keep a positive attitude and don't view it as a "fight" or confrontation with anyone, and explain the situation calmly, and they will be as accommodating as possible. And if there is a problem, then you'll cross that bridge when you get to it while you are there, but don't expect there to be a problem.Know what I mean? I think they are trying to iron out the bugs because it is so new. It will all work out - don't worry!

I'm going to guess no.Do you think there are many people to actually have both? I was leaning on the not likely, but if there were, wouldn't that affect the crowds, since now there passes would not have black out dates.
That is correct, but your expiration date would be the June date, not the October date. The only way you'll get the extended date is if you currently have an AP for both coasts.Am I correct in my understanding that any AP can be upgraded, as long as it is done before it expires? (Ex. buy Disneyland AP in June...upgrade to Premier in October.)

ooh and also when we went to Story tellers cafe our discount on my receipt said club 33 15% discount. so I have a feeling it did not scan so they used a manual override as well so I could get the discount.

I had similar problems with my PP at DLR. I had to wait at the front gate each day while they called a supervisor. I was given a replacement one-day hopper each time and was told to use it to get my fast passes and for re-entry into the parks. Many of the employees hadn't seen what PP looks like so I too had to explain it was a new pass; most hadn't even heard of it on the first day. I eventually went to the Annual Pass Center and waited while they checked the card and had to call a manager at home. After waiting for a very long time I was told the card is valid; they said it is their system. I had to instuct everyone to key in the numbers at the stores and restaurants because the bar code wouldn't work. Needless to say I was a little disappointed because I had to spend my very limited vacation time dealing with these issues. But on the other hand, I'm happy to have a PP! And I'm sure they will work out the bugs before I go back.
We still do not have anything. We gave FL a call, but we need to call a different number than what is posted here on page 5. So we will call again tomorrow, sounded line we might be on the right track. We shal see
