I'm working on the screenplay for class but plot problem: I'm thinking either CSI style mystery or rock musical a la Hedwig

Hiya

Hope you haven't forgotten me!!!!!

Also hope that everyone is well... I'm sorry to have not checked in sooner (I got back late Tuesday) but I've been busy in RL and also the DIS was so full of "surprises" (not necessarily good ones as you know) when I got back that I kinda was shocked and didn't know what/where to post....

Anyways, I'm back now and have just read 30 pages of chatty angel chat!! :)

A few things I have rembered to say:

HI STEPH!! ;)

Lars - Good luck with the house, sorry to hear about Dylan's foot and *****hugs***** to your friend, hope she is feeling better!

Elaine - Glad to hear you are feeling better!!

Alan - Thank you for sticking around :) Also, you have really made me LOL with a lot of things during my catchup *smiles*

LK - Hope Ariel is okay!!!

Marsha - Sorry to hear that job hunting isn't going as well as you hoped.... in my experience (DBF was unemployed for six months at the end of last year) these things work out for the best in the end! *hugs*

Sorry to anyone I've missed... anyways, hope you are all well, I'll sort out a trip report one evening this week :)

Oh yeah! Look out for your postcards if you requested one :) :) My dutch friend emailed me today to let me know his arrived so that's promising!

btw... a final note, until January I have agreed to take on another job at my employment so I'll be working five days a week and trying to keep my 'business' afloat at evenings and weekends... sorry therefore if I'm not around as much as I used to be - but I'll sure try!

Cya,
Gaspode

Hiya Melissa and welcome home! I hope you had a great time on your trip. Such a dedicated angel to catch up with 30 pages of posts!

Easy dinner tonight - just a homemade pizza with pepperoni and tomato slices. Of course after I doubled the amount for the crust, DS informs me that he already had pizza across the street.

welcome back Melissa

I'm this close to my first ebay win(New Guy soundtrack)

Hi Guys!!!

Welcome Back Gaspode!!!! We missed you around here! As far as all the Dis turmoil goes....I was very saddened by it but I am also glad to have our little Angel thread here as a haven to escape from the controversy:D We'll understand that yo're busy for the menxt few months but hope that you'll stop by whenever you can! I hope that your trip was wonderful!!!!

LK-homemade pizza sounds yummy! Can I have Logan's portion??
:p

We had a roast in the crock pot!I really LOVE my crock pots!!!
Meg's cheer squad did a car wash today....they called it 'free' but accepted donations;) Some man gave them $50.00:eek: quite a nice donation! I asked if he was a Dad or Grandpa but DD said none of the girls knew him. Nice man huh? I'm not usre the grand total of what they earned but I think they did pretty well.
Matthew had hockey practice & other than those 2 things it was a pretty dull day. btw we ended up having to cancel the house viewing for today....hopefully we can reschedule it soon.:D

Evening all :)

Carol, glad that the festival yesterday was nice. Too funny about the names being announced like that! Dinner sounds great! Got any left overs to share? ;)

YAY!!!!! Melissa is back!!!!!! We could never forget you!!! Just stop in when you can even though you'll be busy. I hope all goes well for you with your work :)

LK, don't see the problem with your DS and the pizza... then again I could probably eat pizza all the time and not really get tired of it.

CS, good luck with your e-bay bidding.

OMG!!! A $50 donation???? What a giving guy!!!!!!

I'm not even going to try to reply to everyone. I'm too tired. Welcome home, Melissa. We missed you. Everyone else, hope your weekends went well.

The Jr. High kids have all returned home. It was a successful weekend for everyone. I am looking forward to getting in my own bed tonight! The service today was a little bittersweet for my family. We think it was our last service at our old church. Lots of memories and friends there, but it's time to move on. No one knows that we are making the change, so that made it even more strange.

Today was my 2 year cancer-free anniversary! Only 3 more to go until I'm out of the woods, so to speak, but my surgeon and my oncologist both say that they got it all, so I'm not really worried. It's hard to believe that it's been 2 years since my surgery. Time flies.

Tomorrow morning is my MIL's D&C. She should be finished by 10:30 at the latest. Don't know if they'll be able to tell us anything tomorrow or not. Her mother died of uterine cancer, so I'm sure that's on her mind. DH went up to spend the night with them and care for his dad while she's in surgery, since he's a stroke victim.

Have a great night everyone. I'll check in tomorrow.

Wow Melissa the 2 year cancer free anniversary is something to celebrate! 2 of my closest friends are breast cancer survivors....one of about 4 years & one of about 2 years also. Congratulations!

What a wonderful anniversary to celebrate Melissa! :D
Sending good thoughts for your MIL's surgery.

Welcome back Gaspode! I can appreciate not having much time online these days. Check in when you can.

Another busy one for me. :( I hope everyone is well, I'm planning to be on IM tonight at 9:30!!!

Morning Angels and TLMS!

It seems all of us are on overload....another busy day here as well...but I think I'll be able to make the 9:30 AIM chat!!!! If I don't get back here before then....hopefully I'll see some of you there!

Be well!

Valerie

What a wonderful thing to be celebrating!! Thanks so much for sharing the news with us and for being an inspiration for so many Angels each and every day!

I'll be keeping you MIL in my thoughts....please let us know how everything goes for her.

Valerie

Good morning all! Very chilly here this morning... first day I went into work having to wear a jacket since this spring!

Merry, glad to hear that the weekend went well for the kids! And congratulations on your 2 year anniversary! I saw your post on the CB, but haven't read it yet (it's open in a new window though). I pray the next three years bring you good health! Best wishes to your MIL today as well.

Oh thank you Gail... I would have forgotten about tonight! Not like I am not normally on though ;)

Enjoy the day all!

Good Morning Angels.

MP, what a wonderful celebration for you and your family. You have such a great outlook on life, very inspiring!

Gaspode....welcome home! We've certainly missed you. Hope you can stop by when your schedule allows

Lars, hugs to you and your family, and Rhonda. Hope everyone is on the mend.

Time for me to start packing!!!!

Good Morning Angels! I feel like I've been gone for SO long! I put in my week of dog/house sitting last week and Friday morning we left for Philly to take DS and his DGF to the airport. Their flight to Paris was Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
We were able to spend Friday and a large part of Saturday with DD before we had to head to the airport. Saying goodbye was harder than I thought. He'll be gone 3-4 months.
Then I had to say goodbye to DD yesterday morning and drive home alone.:( I was feeling pretty blue.

Congrats Melissa on your 2 year Anniversary!:Pinkbounc

Welcome Home Melissa! I'll be looking for my postcard!

Lars, sorry to hear about Dylan's injury. With active boys it's almost impossible to escape this. We've sure had our share.

Elaine, Very chilly here also. Hard to believe it was SO warm in Philly! It was like 80 on Saturday, and all I had packed was jeans, cords, turtlenecks and sweaters!! DD was wearing shorts and sandals!

SB, and LK, did you see the 5 Day forcast??

Hello Angels.

Welcome back Melissa. I will be looking for your trip report.

Melissa, what a great anniversary to celebrate.

I am thinking of taking Bernie's Angels out of my signature. Just doesn't seem right anymore. Anyone have any other ideas to link us Angels together?

Looking forward to chatting tonight.

Melissa, congratulations on your 2 year anniversary, and sending positive thoughts for you to soon be celebrating 5 years cancer free!

It is so cold here this morning. I can't believe I didn't get into our pool even once this summer. :( With all of the rain we had, it was never warmed up enough for me to consider going in.

Steph, that's great that you are packing already. I usually wait until a day or two before, and then I am rushing around like mad.

We watched "Holes" last night. Or rather I should say everyone else watched "Holes" because I didn't enjoy it at all and only watched the first 45 minutes or so. I know a lot of people raved about the book, but IMO I thought the movie was really boring. I just couldn't get into it at all.

DD and DH survived their rainy camping weekend. The girls made tons of crafts because they couldn't do anything outside! DH was more than a little annoyed with some of the fathers that went. He said they complained about everything and just didn't seem as if they wanted to be there with their daughters. How sad. He thinks some of them even went out to get some beer, which really pisses me off. You are not allowed to have alcoholic beverages in scout camp for crying out loud! It's a shame they couldn't go without for two days for the sake of their daughter. Some people just don't grow up.

Morning all, I got woken up at 4am and at 4:30 DH made me get up because he was mad at the dogs. Seems Sadie got him up 3 time last night, and he is very cranky. I wish there was some solution to him hearing her every move, I think she gets hot, but he won't turn her fan on anything but low, so she pants. And cries, I never hear a thing.

Merry, congrats on the big day! And many many more.

LK, I think my pool is closed, too. It cools off enough at night to drop the temp down, and even tho it's over 100 during the day, it isn't enough to keep the heat overnight. It looks like will will be draining it over the winter and washing the pebble tech. After 5 years, it is beginning to get stained. Ah, the joys of pool maintenance. And boo to the dads who can't enjoy the weekend with thier daughters. Being a parent is more than shoving the kids off on someone else, blech to them. ANd at that age, the kids know full well what is going on.

Carol, I don't know what to do about Bernie's Angels. I lost all my signature stuff when I tried to take out my countdown after WDW, I don't know if I will add it all back in. I hope that RL has just gotten in the way of Bernie's dis life, but it is so sad that he is not around anymore.

I know I missed a lot of things, not intentionally. Take care all, I will check in later. I have to go to work again today.

Good Morning Angels!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. It looks like we are going to have a perfect week weather wise. The highs are in the mid 70's with lows in the upper 40's and low 50's!

Sandi, hang in there with your son traveling. I may have missed the background - is this business, pleasure, military (probably not with his GF going), etc?

Laura, I might not have been too good at restraining myself from letting those fathers have it; however, that sort of personality is probably ready to get defensive and grumble anyway, so all it would do is cause unnecessary conflict around the girls, and that's no good.

Frankly, it's nice to see that they at least going to the event; a lot of fathers wouldn't even do that. :(

Melissa, glad to hear you are still on the road to recovery. Happy Anniversary!

Melissa :p WELCOME BACK :bounce:
Thirty pages? That's too many of my quips to take at once, even with "ketchup"
