LOL at the "questionable blobs"! Just don't give them a mirror and they'll be happy. They'll think their face is beautiful and everyone else has blobs. ;)

I'm tired today. Couldn't get to sleep last night. My mind wouldn't be quiet so I could settle down. Maybe I'll try to grab a nap later.

Today is picture day, so I better check out the riddle and then make sure that Amy looks lovely before we go out the door.

Have a great day everyone.

Melissa, me too! I woke up early this morning and was thinking about stuff and couldn't get back to sleep. Today is picture day for DS too. (DD is done because she had senior pictures done this summer.)

LOL! Did you think I would misinterpret? Or, more likely, that other Angels *ahem* would take that and run with it?

Now if someone invited me over to help with the laundry.....

Speaking of innuendo and misinterpretation which was the basis of every episode of "Three's Company", wasn't it shocking about John Ritter?

And Johnny Cash?

I have several loads of laundry that need to be done. Come on over. I'm sure my DH would appreciate the time alone with me while you sort and wash. ;)

I was sad to hear the news this morning. Johnny Cash was never one of my favorite performers, but I admired him. I think he had been looking bad for the last few years and I think when June passed away it took a lot of the fight out of him.

John Ritter was a shock. He was pretty young to go so quickly. Again, he wasn't one of my favorites, but I'm still sorry. If I remember correctly he had a young family. That is so hard.

My thoughts and prayers are with both families.

Carol, DS had his picture taken when he enrolled. I love that our high school does that. They also take their ID photo at the same time. I think they do retakes later, but it gets it over with early. Wish the middle school would start doing the same thing. That way you know that they look halfway decent for their yearbook pic.

Amy is invited to a birthday party/sleepover tonight. It's a 50's party. They are going to glow bowl, to our local drive-in for hamburgers (it's called the 50's Drive In), back to their house for old movies, music and some games. Everyone is supposed to wear their poodle skirts. I thought it sounded fun!

David is also invited to a sleepover tonight. One of the guys on the swim team has invited all the guys to come over. I don't know if David is going. If so, Allen and I get the night alone together. We may go to a movie or something.

It's cool and cloudy here. I think the high today is going to be in the mid 70's. This is my kind of weather. These temperatures don't usually last long around here, so I'm beginning to worry that we'll have an early winter.

Melissa, the party your daughter is going on sounds like a blast! I hope she has a good time.

I also hope your son goes and enjoys the sleepover with his teammate so that you and Mr. Poppins :p can just enjoy being together.

It's important to keep dating each other!

I am so confused today. I wasn't able to get on until now, and I was searching and searching for the riddle. I found yesterday's riddle so now everything is clear!

Gail - Happy Birthday to your mom! What a treasure she sounds like!

Alan, I hadn't heard anything about John Ritter or Johnny Cash until I read your post. Cash wasn't unexpected, but what a shock about Ritter!

DS is not feeling well at all today. He was up all night, and is still not feeling 100%. I didn't want him to go to school and pass it around to the other kids.

LK, I was confused also, and I got up at 5am, so my morning did not start too well.

Merry, isn't it nice when the kids go out and the Man Who Loves You volunteers to do your laundry while you and the mister have a hot date? What a guy, that AlalbamaAlan, and see, there is another name twin!

I have no hot job prospects for today, so I think I will get breakfast and work on my bed covering porject, which is just sitting in the storage box on the guest bed.

Have a great day, I'll see you all sometime later.

I know, Marsha. I think Mr. AlabamaAlan is a peach to make such an offer. :teeth: Just not sure how "hot" the date will be with him in our laundry room. LOL!

LK, hope he gets to feeling better soon. I was also confused by the lack of a Friday riddle. I finally checked out the old one and saw that Bernie was putting out fires today.

I'm heading to the shower and getting to work. If I'm going to play tonight I need to make some progress now. I've got a week to shape things up before we have a group of 5 jr. high girls sleeping over during our church's youth conference.

Just a quick hello to everyone! DD is taking a nap, so I thought I'd check in.

I saw the thread this morning about John Ritter and Johnny Cash and thought it was a false rumor. My DH and I both like Cash's songs, and it is shocking about John Ritter. I just saw a commercial for the new season for his show.

LK - tell Logan, Auntie Lorraine hopes he feels better soon!

See you all later!

On another note, this is my 600th post! Yippee!

Better post one more time - I am seeing 599 for you!

Good Afternoon Angels!!

LK-How's Logan feeling? I hope he's better!!

I was shocked by the passing of John Ritter. I watched 'Three's Company' when I was a kid & my family & I really enjoyed '8 Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter'. It is a great loss in the show biz world....Mr Ritter was a very funny man.
Johnny Cash had been fighting diabetes for so long & it was becoming obvious in recent years that he wasn't in the best of health. After his beloved wife passed in May I was suspicious that it wouldn't be too long before he followed her. My Dad is from the South & I grew up listening to country music & I was saddened at the loss of such a legend. I heard 'A Boy Named Sue' on the radio today a few times and it never fails to make me smile.

Did you ever hear the Swedish version of that song?

Life ain't easy for a gal named Lars!

Howdy Angels....

Hectic start to the last great race weekend of the year here in NH.
There is currently at 15 foot banner spread out that my husband is painting in "his colors"....I swear, it's almost like a gang...lol

Jr. starting 6th, but was on the pole for the better part of qualifying.....good thing he got bumped...or else I woulda had to stay in my "good mojo" clothes.

ANYHOOO....that's probably all foreign language to you folks.....I best be moving along before I start slipping into pit strategies, and fuel windows..........hope for a sunny day here on Sunday!!!

Me and my 98,000 closes friends would appreciate it!

I'll check in at some point!!!!

LK--hope Logan is feeling better!

LK, great news. How is Logan feeling now?

Lorraine, HURRAH for 600!

It is raining here now and feels like a nor'easter.
