Kind of a long goof off day for me... but I wasn't on much at all today to even say hi to you all. I had a long lunch with co-workers and took off early. I saw Once Upon A Time In Mexico tonight and I really liked it a lot.

Now I have to get the house ready for Luis' birthday tomorrow. Family is coming over.

Congratulations Lorraine on 600 posts!!!!!

I am going to try to get my usual evening walk in... not feeling so well today (sinus/allergy/cold thingie). I'll check in later :)

Congrats Lorraine on 600 posts!!!!!

I think that your beloved twin sister should take you to see The Lion King to celebrate!!! ;)

We took my mom to Friday's for her birthday and they made a big fuss....announcing to the restaurant that she had just turned 25!!

It was a nice time but it's been a long day and a long week. My darling DS has been especially bothered by allergies this week (me too) and he's using it as an excuse for being cranky, ornery and just plain adolescent. Anybody want him for 6 or 7 years????

Congratulations LK! That'll be amazing. You HAVE to take pictures. Hope you can get extra tickets.

Gail, sounds like dinner was fun. Sorry allergies are making life miserable, but I don't think I want to adopt your cranky adolescent. I have two of my own.

Amy was wrong about the party. It's tomorrow night, so we are not childless tonight after all. Oh well. So much for my plans.

As soon as DH gets home from the Y, I'm going to try to get him to move my filing cabinet into place. He bought it for me recently, but I can't fill it until we put it into the correct spot in the garage which means moving a few things.

OU plays another home game tomorrow, but the guys are taking the tickets. I'll cheer from home this time.

Elaine, feel better. Wish Luis a happy birthday for me. Have fun with the family.

Congrats on 600 Lorraine.

Angels, that make it all worth while:D !! (Just couldn't post yesterday.....*sigh*)
{{{GROUP H-U-G!!}}}

W-T-G Lorraine on 600 posts! Here's to 600 more!:

Gail, as someone who is suffering bad this year from allergies (and it is supposed to get worse...) I don't think I'd be good for him. Just lock him away for a few years ;) :p

Thanks Merry! I am sure after some sleep, I'll do much better. And thanks for the birthday wishes for Luis :)

{{{HUGS}}} back to you Kimmar and to everyone else too. I think I am calling it a night :)

congrats on 600 Lorraine !

bumping from page 2 and adding a group ((((hug))))

Oh yuck, I just can't wait to see how we both feel if it gets worse.

Happy birthday to Luis!!!

I know just how you felt on Thursday Kimmar. :( Here's a big {{{hug}}} right back at you.

Happy races Steph......we have soccer pictures followed by a game for EB and this evening Matt has a baseball game. Hope everyone else has a great day.

BTW, our personal meterologist is keeping a close eye on Isabel for all the Angels on the East Coast.

Good morning all :)

Steph, do have fun at the races!!!

Gail, I don't know if it will get worse for you all there or not. I just know that since we had all that flooding this year that we are in for a not so good allergy season. I don't think it is that way for all across the country though, so have hope. Good luck to EB & Matt today... I hope both games go well. And very glad to hear that our personal meterologist is watching Isabel for us all :)

Off to do something quiet while the birthday boy sleeps :)

Good morning friends

Gail, can Lew make sure that Isabel goes out to sea. Friday is the bands first performance and Saturday they play at the University of Delaware's football game. I do NOT want Isabel to join us.

Yesterday, I was in a patient's home and went into the bathroom to wash my hands. The walls were bright yellow and the room had red and black trim. The shower curtain was clear with Mickey Mouse parts on it and there were towels with Mickey hands on them and Mickeys everywhere. It was great. I was talking to a family member about the DIS and she wasn't sure if that was where another family member posted or not. Would that be weird to stumble into anothe DISser's home?

Heading off to Baltimore in a bit to help my mom. The rest of my brood will come a bit later so we can all go out to dinner. Maybe DD will get a chance to drive I-95, or maybe not.

I miss Saturday morning soccer games. Never thought I would say that, but enjoy them while you have them. The kids grow up so fast.

I slept in today. Must have been those 2 or 3 glasses of wine I had last night when I filled in at a Bunco game. :o :)

Rainy day here today. I think today will be a good day to spend in the kids' rooms going through all of the junk and "putting some stuff away in the attic for now" (aka throwing it out in the garbage!)

Happy Birthday to Luis!

Gaspode, if I forgot to say it before, congratulations on getting the house that you really wanted!!!

Feliz cumpleanos, Luis!
(E!, what a nice DW you are, to let him SLEEP! ---shhhhhh!--)

Gail, yeah, 9/11 comes and goes and its hard, especially if you've lost someone in that tragic event....my DH and his crew were reroofing a home here in my town, and they watched the whole series of events unfold right before their eyes. He actually watched[from his high perch] as those buildings slowly disintegrated to nothing. He says that it is something he'll NEVER forget. My neighbor across the street lost her cousin, and a former cheerleading coach [in our Lodi Jr Rams peewee football organization] lost her husband of a little over 1 yr. She was almost 7 months pregnant, and now has the most beautiful daughter....but they say, "Life Must Go on.....:( " I guess it must be the same feeling for those living in the Oklahoma City area, and how they must feel when April rolls around....

Morning Everyone!:D

Steph - have fun at the races - GO DALE JR!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUIS!!

Kimmar - what sad stories from 9/11. my brother-in-law went to college and was good friends w/ a guy who worked for Cantor Fitzgerald.

LK - congrats AGAIN and can't wait for that fabulous dinner and limo ride!!;)

Gail - my DS has a soccer game today too. today is community day at the high school, so they will be playing there for everyone to see.

Carol - i always wonder when i go into the Disney store if there are any other DISers in there w/ me.

Hi CS!

Went to my girlfriends last night for a surprise b'day party for her mom. They had a pyschic come in and she charged $30 for 1/2 hour. I didn't do it 'cause those things freek me out. A lot of the people said she was right on target w/ things - mostly about the dead. Too weird.

...so did the person we knew [work for Cantor Fitz]! His name was Jon Perconti....his wife, Tammy, was on Oprah with Dr. Phil. It's really been hard on her. Her daughter looks soooo much like her daddy, and alot of his personality comes through in her, too!
(Hey, Laura, you're not turnin' into a "lush", are ya;) ??)

Blechhhhh...it's rainin' here, and we are s'pposed to have our Opening Day football game tomorrow......

Hi everyone !

Happy Birthday Luis !! Hope the party goes well, E !

No plans for me this weekend ... it's usually feast or famine - last weekend was jam packed and this weekend I may have to resort to housecleaning !

Have a great Saturday, Angels !

my plans for today are just a trip to the video store to pick up Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Bulletproof Monk(and maybe pre order POTC)

We're back from soccer and the girls played a good game. So far each team we've played in the division has been pretty equally matched so that's been nice.

I by no means mean to dimish the tragedy on 9/11 but here in RI we're still dealing with the tragedy at the Station niteclub in February. The 6 month anniversary just passed yet some of the survivors are still in rehab centers and many are still learning to deal with physical limitations they now have. Then there are the 100 families who suffered the loss of a loved one. It really puts life into perspective.

Thanks for listening to me my friends. I'm now descending to the basement to put together things for a neighborhood yard sale we're having in a few weeks. If I don't reappear in a few hours would someone send out the search dogs....equipped with brandy of course! ;)
