Disney Angels & The Last Man Standing

Hi all... had a late night here with friends. It was fun though as we ended it by watching a couple of people playing tennis outside in the rain at 1:30 am :teeth: I'll catch up tomorrow :)

Hey Everyone,
The concert was pretty good.......Kix Brooks was sick, so he went on stage with a bunch of signs saying he couldn't sing.....the B&D part of the concert was VERY short. I think they only played about 10 songs. However, I must say that their effects and the video were awesome...it felt just like watching a video....Our seats were excellent, about 50 feet back from the stage.
Sawyer Brown was the opening band, and IMO they were much more "on" than Brooks & Dunn. They played for quite a while and have some great stuff.....if only Mark Miller (lead singer) would take some dancing lessons....lol

I MUST admit the best part of the show was in the parking lot....but that's a story for chat!!!!!

Raining here today which means since I didn't go grocery shopping Saturday OR Sunday, I'll have to do it in the rain today!!!!!!

I'll check back later when all of you sleepy heads get out of bed...whatcha think, it's a holiday or something/?????

Good morning Steph ... and all the sleepyhead angels!!:D

I'll include myself in that group..... it's nice getting up on a Monday when I'd usually already be in work !

Sorry to hear that B&D weren't as on as usual - how dare Kix get sick for your show ;) I always enjoyed Sawyer Brown too so glad to hear they put on a good show for you ...... now about that parking lot ??????????????????

Think it's going to be a rainy one here today too .... planning on visiting my mom and dad later on after bumming around here for awhile ..... have a great day everyone !

I admit it....I'm one of those SLEEPY HEAD Angels! It's not often I can just sleep in until my BODY (as opposed to my Mickey Alarm) tells me "Good Morning....it's time to get up"!!!

Watching the telethon and hanging out...sipping coffee....a rainy day seems to be in store...

Hope everyone has good one....REST UP FOR THE RIDDLE!

Valerie :D

I'm awake too! I've even taken a shower already (and I'm sure my family is greatful for that!)

We're in the path for rain today too, but a rainy Monday at home isn't that bad.

Glad you enjoyed the concert despite B&D playing limited songs. Can't wait to hear the story from the parking lot!

I watched the telethon until about midnight and taped another hour but I fear our friend's live appearance was pre-empted by our local news. :( They're supposed to be on again today in the 19th hour of the broadcast but since we have a PGA tournment in MA that ends today the final hours of the telethon will actually be shown later this evening.

Rest up for the riddle you say Valerie? Let's just hope that Bernie doesn't break out his new math riddle book tomorrow!

Good morning folks!

Just a quick stop here this morning before heading out this morning. I wanted to let you all know that I'll be kicking the riddle off a bit later than I had originally planned. It turns out that my kids aren't going back to school this tomorrow, but they will be going back on Thursday. Erin will be continuing two-a-day soccer practices this week and between chauffering for that and work, my free time is going to be very limited this week.

SO......

l.ook for the return of the riddle next Monday, September 8th.

Smarty Pants will be back then too. :)

See you then! :)

Hi Bernie! I suppose we can wait until next Monday as long as you promise, no math riddle!!!!!

Before I forget. Bernie's Angels and TMWLT were quite the stars of Barry's RiddleCon segment of his video! There were lots and lots of pictures of everyone who was there and if i'm not mistaken, our own LK was in the final shot...waving while taking a picture (or maybe a video). :teeth:

There's a few pictures from the meet on Saturday here

Hope everyone is having a great day! I am off for a hike to enjoy my last day before the start up of school. I am trying hard to stay calm, but I am a bundle of nerves! Grade sixers  Yikes!! anyone have an extra pair of stilts or realy high heals?? I have a feeling that my kids are going to tower over the less than 5 feet of me! :p I am nervous, but excited too:bounce: :Pinkbounc :p

Morning Everyone!:D

Gail - great pics from the meet. what a nice pool they have! I made a copy of the burger recipe - it sounds yummy.

Bernie - another week off from the riddle?! Yea! My brain wasn't ready not that it will be ready next week either!

Steph - sorry to hear about B&D. I remember Sawyer Brown from winning the Star Search competition years ago. I rooted for them then.

Mickey65 - good luck to you tomorrow. just make the kids sit at their desks the whole time, then you won't have anything to worry about.;)

Raining again here. I might take the kids to the movies today. Went to the funeral home for my DH's cousin last night, then the funeral is tomorrow. Definitely a sad one, but good to see he was loved by many.

OMG! I completely agree with you.......I like listening to Sawyer Brown's music but if I went to a concert I'd need to wear a blindfold.
and I can't wait to hear about the parking lot....................

Just an FYI for Lorraine...Gail....and any other CLAY AIKEN fans...

I understand that Clay is scheduled to appear on the telethon some time during the 20th hour! I'll surely be tuned in!

Gail....did anyone happen to get an...ahem...."extra" copy of the math book????

Good morning everyone!!!!

Steph, so sorry to hear that he was sick for the concert and it wasn't what it could have been.

Oh good a bunch of sleepyheads today... I'm in good company then :teeth:

Bernie, totally understandable about the riddle!!! Not sure my brain would have been awake enough anyway after a long weekend ;)

Val, I'll let you borrow my sister's 6" platform shoes :p Good luck tomorrow!!!!

Well I need to try to get a couple of things done today... Enjoy the day all :)

Good morning Angels

I am a sleepyhead angel too. DH and I didn't wake up until 9AM. Unheard of in this house.

Steph, sorry the cocert wasn't all it could be. Now what about the parking lot.

Gail, I have been watching the Telethon on and off. We get it from both Philadelphia and Baltimore and they have different things on at the same time. It didn't start on either station until 11 last night so I can't follow the time table.

We decided to have a quickly put together cookout here today with family. All those left over burgers and hot dogs in the freezer from the band picnic. So, I need to get working.

No such luck Valerie!!!!

The telethon started at 9 p.m. eastern time last night so that means Clay should appear after 4 p.m. and our friends should be on during the previous hour. Thanks for the heads-up!!! :D

BTW....where's LK been lately??:(

Thanks for the 4-1-1 on "Chicago"...gotta go get it, now!

Happy Labor Day, Angels and TMWLT!

LK has been at her in-laws cabin all weekend. She should be back tonight.

Steph - Has it really been 20 years? I must have been only 1 when I watched them.;)

Val - thanks for the info about Clay. now if my brain can remember around 4, i'll tune in.

Carol - i don't have any plans for dinner, sure wished i lived closer for the hot dogs and hamburgers.

Hi E and Kimmar!

My DS, Dylan and I at Chef Mickey's.....

Hmmm, I wonder why I keep gettin' that darn "X"??

Gail....just saw Shane and family....what an inspiration... here's hoping that his vision of no need for a "future telethon" is a forcast for a better tomorrow for Shane and all those managing these challenges day by day! Bless him, his family and friends!
