...is disappointed. . .Looks as if it's [Isabel] is getting more and more downgraded as the hours pass. It seems he wanted Friday off from school (imagine that!)!!

Happy Thursday, ladies....

Give Dylan a hug and tell him sooner or later he'll get to miss school.....for a GOOD reason!

Stay dry....and safe.....all!

And the rest of you...... HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

Kinmar, where are you? I forget.

We have early dismissal today (but it counts as a full day) and school is cancelled for Friday.

Windy but no rain yet. I will check in later.

Morning Everyone!:D

No rain is expected here until tonight. They moved the Pirates game to a 12:30 start. I'm sure it will be the lowest attended game ever at PNC park.

LK and I are going to a Chinese Buffet for lunch. Anyone want to come?

Gail - I'm still rooting for the Red Sox! Have fun at the game.

Diane - keeping track of the Twins also!

Hope everyone feels better that isn't feeling well.

East Coasters - stay safe!

I would join you for Chinese buffet, but I get my nails done at noon.

OK, big news, job interview at 4pm today. Practise interview at 10:30, so I am off to shower and find some conservative business attire.

Hi everybody!!!!!

Good luck Marsha!!!!!!!!!!! Remember, hair and pants up!! ;)

I'd love some Chinese food...what time should I meet you??

Hi all :) Feeling a little better than this morning, but still wish my allergies would go away! And it is now official, I will be on call starting pretty much now and in case something happens to phone/data lines/sites/buildings people like me get to sit at the computer and try to find new routes so as little phone service will be lost as possible.

I pray all that are in Isabel's path will stay safe.

Gail, enjoy your day! So nice you'll be giving blood. I hope you guys have fun at the game!

Oh a Chinese Buffet??? I am so there!!!!

Marsha, best of luck to you today!!!!

mmmmm....chinese......i haven't had chinese in a while....it's time!

Hair may or may not be up, I couldn't get it to go up on Tuesday, I am waiting to see what it wants to do when I take the rollers out. Pants up? This leads me to many thoughts, none of which should appear on this family board.

Thanks for the wishes, of course DH has already said the salary is too low, it's too far (20 miles), why do I want to work anyway? If he paid the mortgage, I guess I could not work, but I do want some spending money for more than mortgage, sattelite TV, telephones, cell phones, long distance, etc etc etc.

Y'all have fun; I'm going home to split a frozen pizza (hopefully cooked by the time I get there) with DW.

I don't have much of a yen for Oriental Food anyway...

Let me know when we're going Mexican, country cookin', or to a good steak house!

I'm pretty busy today, so my answers will be unusually short. ;)

Enjoy the Chinese, or pizza or whatever. Get to feeling better if you're sick. Take care if you're on the east coast. Good luck with the interview. Have fun at the game, or at whichever way you are headed. Sorry if I left anything out.

Looks like rain here. Hope it passes quickly. I take David to the airport this afternoon. He is flying to Dallas for the weekend. He is one of 2 senior high youth chosen to represent Episcopal youth from our state at the provincial level. Reps from all of Province 7 meet about twice a year to make plans for Episcopal youth.

This is David's first flight alone. He's a little nervous, but I think excited, too. At least it's a short flight (only about 45 minutes). Cross your fingers that all goes well. I can't even walk him to his gate, now that the new guidelines are in place.

Gotta run. I'll try to check back later.

Boy am I stuffed from lunch. I enjoyed the food for anyone who wanted to come.

Marsha - good luck w/ the interview. pants up???

MP - hope David has a safe flight. that does suck about not being able to walk someone to the gate, or wait for them at the gate anymore.

Alan - i'm sure you and your wife could find something to do while the pizza was cooking!;)

E - are you on call 7 days a week?

Hey Marsha,
Looks like you got a new "good luck" tag.......

sigh....I'd like an update!!!!

Marsha has a new tag? Very cool!!!!

Alan, got any left over pizza for us? I am trying to figure out what to do for dinner ;)

Merry, I hope that David has a very safe flight! I hope he enjoys his time down in Dallas as well.

Lorraine, normally I am not on call for anything, but when it comes to natural disasters, a bunch of us have always volunteered to be on call. That way if anything happens, some of us can come in (and most work shifts so we are staffed 24/7) and help get the job done. We did it during the Houston flood two years ago and after after the WTC attacks since a lot was destroyed then. So fortunately it doesn't happen much. But I figure that I will be on call just this weekend. If by Sunday they havne't called anyone in, I doubt they will at all.

Good afternoon, angels! Elaine, sounds like you work for the phone company. DH is the telecommunications engineer for A national security company, so he deals with phone people all the time. I wont mention that he complains about phone company people all the time :o He has been busier than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs today! Everytime someone calls from an East coast city, he KNOWS what it is about!

Merry, hope your DS has a good flight. DH just got back from Dallas last night.

Good luck with the interview, Marsha!

Hi CS :)

Yes, Diane, I do work for a phone company... been with them nearly 4 years now :) So when things like this happen, we are behind the scenes fixing it all. Oh and don't worry, I complain about other phone company people ALL the time ;) :p
