**Disney After Hours-Hollywood Studios** FAQ & Discussion Thread

Does anyone have any ideas if they will be extending dates into July and August. I don't want to make other plans only to have this open up and miss out. TIA.

No one knows for sure, but there are plenty of us on here hoping dates will be added for July/August. This is the best place to find out if new dates become available.

I found this here on the DIS, the first post shows last years (2018) dates and when they were released. With SWGE opening end of August, not sure how that will affect the Fall dates.

"Official" 2018 Disney After Hours (DAH) Thread (Now Closed, see New 2019 Thread)

Also, these are MK DAH, so that is something to consider too.

Really hard/impossible to say. Since there’s no history of DHS DAH in the summer (the event debuted late last year), it’s pretty much a guessing game if it will even be offered and when they’ll make dates available. Lots of people watching though. :-)

I plan to we had a couple other issues throughout our trip so have a list. This was our 5th trip and the 1st trip we had more than one let down\issue, which I hated most because it was my DN 1st visit and my SIL first extended trip and stay on property. Just FYI and it may be better when you go but SDD was a posted wait time of 30-40 minutes all night and we waited 25. The line for Jessie and Woodie was at least 15-20 people\groups deep. Even the food carts were a little crazy and at one point the CM's were just laying the drinks and ice cream out on top for people to grab and we ended up with warm soda that went into the trash and my DD ice cream was so soft she took a bite and it ended up on the ground. Had to go back and asked if we could have one out of the cooler. This was the cart towards SDD.
FYI - I emailed a complaint about our long wait times (longest of our entire trip) on our DAH night we attended on 3/30. Doing my do diligence! P.S, I emailed a week ago and haven’t heard back from Disney.

4/6 was awesome!

Between 7 and 9pm:
- Tower of Terror x 1
- Star Tours x 4

After 9pm:
- Tower of Terror x 3
- Rock'n'Rollercoaster x 1
- Popcorn and Ice Cream
- Slinky Dog Dash x 13
- Ice Cream

Not sold out... Small periods of sprinkling rain with lightning in the distance. 22 rides in a 5 hour period, plus snacks and bathroom breaks. I would definitely recommend this event.

I think you have the record for most rides on SDD

Can anyone tell me if the TOT pre-show is running during the event? I am attending with a first time visitor and it would be a great disservice for their first time on the ride to be without the pre-show. I watched a review of the event and it showed the pre-show constantly running with both doors open for people to just walk through. If thats what its like I want to take them through the ride before the event so they can get the full experience. Thanks in advance for the info!

Curious to know this as well. I figured we'd skip TOT because it would be a time suck with the pre-show.
As far as your specific situation, what if you take your guest on it before the event starts. Get a FP for it or get in line at park closing. That way they could get the full experience their first time.

My husband rode a few times when we went and he said you had the choice of watching it or walking through.

You could walk right through it on 4/6. Same for RNRC.

I haven’t seen anyone else come close to 13 rides on SDD
Wow! Well, if I had any tips for how to accomplish the same thing,

- I would suggest going on a night that isn't sold out.
- Do everything else that you want to do first. Short lines elsewhere allowed us to do ToT x 4, Star Tours x 4, RnRC x 1, and snacks between 7 and 10pm.
- Save ol' Slink for the last portion of the night. Lines were longer earlier, and shorter later.
- Don't stray from the ride, at least not much... This isn't for everyone, as riding 13 consecutive times won't be fun if you'd rather do something else.
- Have good luck, and hope for no downtime.

13 on SDD! Good for you! At my age I could never do it 13 x in one night or anything close to that. I would have been so sick. I did it once during our DAH event but of course that was only because there was a 2 hour delay getting Slink up and running. Twice would have been enough for me.

We’ll be there tonight! We’re blocked out of our AP’s for easter holidays, so we thought this would be a fun way to get in some park time. Anyone else going tonight?

We are going tonight as well! Can someone tell me where you can pick up your after hour bands if you’re already in the park?
