I would like to know if there is anyway to see or read your account notes at Disney World.

We visit every couple months. Over the course of the many many many years of our visits, issues have come up. We also make sure to compliment when things go above and beyond.

At times, I feel like they have a checklist of every issue that has occurred since 1971. I feel as if the complaints carry much more weight then any compliment. I also feel as though if a cast member really does not like you they can hit you very hard on your account.

Is there a way for me to request to read my account?

Not likely ....Their notes are theirs. I can only imagine the can of worms that could open up!

Nope. Those comments are for Disney CM's only and some are pages long! We used to code guests who had "frequent issues" as PG's - problem guests. It was a code attached to their profile which follows you unless it is removed. Not sure that is still done. The FD CM's, back in the day, were told to be careful what was entered in comments as it could potentially be used/seen in the case of a lawsuit, though I never recall that happening. Most CM's don't spend enough time with you to "not like you" (and genuinely want to help) - so when this happens, it's usually because a guest is rather rude and demanding and not so nice to a CM. There were also some guests who would complain about things just to try and get something for free, most of the time it was them causing the problem. The notes would help a CM or manager be prepared. They could make for some good reading, and then you prayed you didn't have to deal with them!

What do you mean "if a cast member does not like you, they can hit you very hard on your account?"

What cast member holds a grudge that big and what exactly are they doing to your account?

Maybe they sabotage your fingerprint so it always errors on entry, replace all your DHS LLs with Frozen Sing A Long or always make sure the character goes on break right before it’s your turn?!

Everyone who goes on vacations has issues on some.
If you have a real issue and are offered compensation without asking or worse demanding it I would doubt there will be notes as this is offered direct by the hotel. We have had issues and been offered something on a few occasions of the 30+ years we have been going we did not ask for anything it was offered as the problems were in fact real and not a fault of ourselves. We have had issues other than Disney including a non Disney cruise line and were given compensation for the Toilet overflowing NOT from flushing it either in fact an entire section of the ship had similar. S... Happens and if it is real most (should be all but there are always exceptions) will solve the issue and more without asking or demanding.

I know it is not the same thing but, medical records belong to the patient. So if you want to read your medical records the physician's office must provide them to you.

I feel the same should be for these records. I do feel as though I had an “unbalanced” cast member post something to my account. I have had several friends of mine who work for Disney indicate this to me. Unfortunately, no one will tell me what was posted.

You should not have to pay for a bad experience forever.

I’m curious to see mine. I wonder if they keep records of cancelled resort stays that were used to obtain hard to get dining reservations, extra AP park reservations (and FP+ back in the day). If so, mine is probably long. Lol

They might, but we could not see that at the FD. CRO may be able to see that information.

You are right, these are totally different and you cannot compare them.
My question is, you go every few month's so have you been treated any differently?

Definitely. We go almost every 6 weeks. Sometimes we stay for a week, other times a long weekend. If the trip follows some kind of an issue, they do not want to do anything above and beyond. No late check outs, no exceptions or extra help with anything. No floor requests or room location granted. What I have found is you need to bury the issue with cast compliments.

It’s not really fair. If you have a genuine issue, you should not be punished for it. I understand some people want something for free but if you go anywhere enough things will happen. It’s how you handle them that is important. I had a manager at the Magic Kingdom bring me to tears with how poorly she treated my family. Especially my son. And I had no recourse. I wrote a letter and I felt like that was a mistake. Like this person was in an authority position and somewhat untouchable.

So ..... do you think you have a "Magic File"?? :scratchin

It’s a problem when not getting “pixie dust” is viewed as a conspiracy against you…
I know it sounds that way. Like I am being unreasonable. It’s very easy to play devils advocate here, but what I am saying is true. Over the past 47 years, I have come across some amazing cast members, mediocre cast members and some that would make the villains show. I would say that the severely apathetic cast members have been more so in the last 10 years.

I'm not playing devil's advocate. I'm saying that your complaint, which is that they don't go above and beyond enough, makes you entitled and unreasonable. To try to link it to some sort of conspiracy makes it weird.

Exactly. I've never had a reason to complain and I don't always get floor or location requests. Sometimes a duck really is just a duck.

(I never request a late check out, so I can't comment to that, but from my understanding it's rare anyway since Disney resorts stay pretty well booked.)
