Yep, still nothing here.

can you write a check in US dollars? I never could figure out how we would do that if we moved to the UK. Do the checks look like ours with pounds and pence instead of dollars and cents??Mine was cash $$, because it costs you all too much to cash a cheque from the UK even if I write it in $$![]()
Yes, its exactly the same. With old money it was really complicated, as there were 20 shillings in a pound and 12 pennies in a shilling, and a crown was 5 shillings and half a crown 12s 6d, we had a thruppeny bit which was cute and chunky, and a sixpence (as in the nursery rhyme) which was also called a tanner....you can see why we went decimal in 1971I was only little, so I don't reaslly remember old money and had to work it out to read older books like Agatha Christie

Short answer, for $ read £ and for c read p, or vice versa. Just to help you out, our shops even charge about the same price in £ as you pay in $![]()
I got a post card from the USPS yesterday...
"Thank you for contacting the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The information you provided has been entered into our National Fraud Complaint System. If we need more information, you will be contacted directly."
It also lists a different website for mail fraud or mail theft:
www.usps.com/postalinspectors
Just an FYI...
Poor kids will miss about 2-3 weeks at the beginning of school.
I got one of those postcards too. I wonder if anything will come of it.
