Disney 12x12 ABC Page Swap/MAW:COMPLETE

question:

If you have 2 photos in the sketch that are touching, do you cut 2 mats for the photos or just one long piece?

I have seen it done both ways in other sketch swaps. I think if they are slightyly seperated it would be easier, mainly for the MAW albums, to know where to place the photo. You can always put a postie note on it to show placement and size of photo.

I will do post it notes for sizes for the MAW albums. Or are you adding a copy of the sketches?

Also what was the determination for the tags? Am I doing 15 or 2? Size? Shape? Info?

Never thought about putting copies of the sketches with the albums. I think that is a good idea. I can easily print them out and include them in the album.

Only do 2 tags for each group. I put the other info up on the first post a few weeks ago. Please forgive me for not coping it here. I am trying to eat my cereal before it gets soupy feel to eat...yuck:rotfl:

no worries, I'll look later.

I've got a serious groove so I'm trying to run with it!
Will be posting pics in the next day or so.

OK...here is my W:

Nothing is attached, so it may look a little lop-sided. The W will be stickled and pop-dotted. I moved the subtitle from the top to the bottom because it would read "bunch Wild" if I didn't. I hope that is ok. The tag has a quote from Thoreau on it.

So, what do we think? Changes, leave it, more, less?

Thanks Danica! I feel like the W needs something more to stand out. It will be stickled and popped. Is it enough? I am mounting it on the white to make it stand out from the other letters, but does that make them get lost?

ok...can up with another option...

should I:

1. Keep it as is

2. I have cut the W's a 1/2" larger also (they are currently the same size as "ild") and can use either. I am just affraid the larger is too large for the space?

or

3. Make the "ild" solid black and not mount the print on top (but would have to be mounted on white block like the W so it shows up against the black)

What do we think?

I like option 3. I love the page! The "ild" does seem a little lost as is.

Thank you!!!

Do you think that will take away from the W? Or, with the stickles and popping, will that make it stand out enough? I think that is going to be the best bet though. And, taking the animal print off the other letters will help the W stand out more I guess, huh?

It's going to be a great page for our Animal Kingdom day. I like your option 3 like everyone else has said either. I think it will help the "W" stand out more as well.

Rita I got your box today. It got a tad wet from the rain. It was between the glass door and solid door. I was a little worried, but all was okay. Nothing wet at all. Your pages have so much detail and layering to them. You can not see it all in the pics, but I was like WOW. Thanks for all the goodies. DS loves those find and see books. He is really good at it. Your tags are sooo cute.

Awesome guys!!! Thanks for the input! I am going to go with the plain black letters mounted on a white block for the "ild". And, the "W" I will keep the same. Is it ok that it is just one layer black on the white or do I have to double the black letters before placing them on the white? It will still be two layers.

When I first read about the rain it was like "NOOOOOOOO"! but glad to see it all got there ok!
Im happy that you like the pages because this is my first time at this swap.

Checking in...have two completely done, third is all cut and will be assembled this week and fourth will be posted for comments / suggestions by next week. I will also get the final product pictures up for pages 2 & 3 this week. Then, I should be postal by the end of the month.

Hey guys i am going to push August check in date back a little. I should have spread that one out a little more. So let's make it Aug. 20. Also I am in the process of contacting someone who was interested in angeling. I have had a spot in Grp A open up. If they decide they will have to pass I will post it up on the op and hopefully we can find someone to fill the spot.

I'm going to go ahead and check in now. DH and I are packing up my scrap room, he gave me the go-ahead to replace the furniture with what I really want and make it a real scrap room! :woohoo: Everything is getting boxed up so I can paint the room.

So I am packing this swap to take with me to SDV. I will post pics when I get back from Florida.
