Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Coming to former Reflections Site in 2027!

I think that's the idea... and hoping they can somehow share the dues. ;)
I 100% believe they will, I've been saying this since the new cabins were made DVC and the dues were announced. They were too high. I absolutely believe they will be the same association.

Ugh! We are headed to the cabins and chose them because it’s so quiet. Bit worried about construction noise. We’ll have to see if we can in a loop far from the construction.

Do you think Lakeshore Lodge might share the boat dock with Fort Wilderness? The aerial view looks like Lakeshore Lodge is an extension of Fort Wilderness.

Plans can always change, but the plans filed with the Florida water commission show a new dock for Lakeside Lodge.

Assuming the 900+ unit count has not changed, in my opinion LL would have to have its own dock, or at least an expanded FW dock with new boats put in service. It’s already quite packed during parts of the day (more so than the other boat-served resorts) and really couldn’t handle a significant increase in guest count.

The cabins are pretty far from the LL site, I wouldn’t be too concerned. Depending on your dates, I’d be more concerned with remaining cabin loop construction - that’s where you’ll hear noise and a constant flow of construction carts and vehicles on the road, if you happen to be close. I haven’t kept up with the latest status since my November trip, but I think it’s currently down the last one or two loops still under construction.

We really enjoyed our cabin stay, despite hearing the cabin construction vehicles start up very early (we were two cabins in from the road so kinda close).

I would think that a new dock would have to be on the Bay Lake side that faces WL. There would be too much boat traffic to have the FW dock and the new LL dock on the same side. On the other hand, it is a little crowded at the MK boat dock. I'm not sure how that will work out.

Yeah, it's more on the WL side, red circle below (if plans haven't changed). I agree, it's already a pretty crowded waterway - especially the over the road canal to Seven Seas Lagoon. I guess they have a plan, one would hope! 8-)

I’m thinking they will all end up with their own docks, boats and routes. Not stopping at multiple anymore once all back in full swing.

Goodbye boat rentals is probably part of their plan. They're well on their way anyway.

I really love that you can't see any other buildings for the most part when looking at the lake from wilderness. Well of course, Disney is going to change this cause they care all about the mighty dollar, and not the peace of the area. I just don't see the point of this resort. It isn't remotely going to look as themed as the amazing wilderness. Just figured Disney would use some creative imagination for something truly new and insanely themed ( like wilderness and AKL ).

This would be a great chance to, but for some reason they don't

Joe Rohde, we misss you

Sight lines will always matter to me

On the camping at disney forum there are photos that show the closed settlement bus stop and construction behind pioneer hall. It makes me think there might be sharing of transportation between the new lodge and the campground. Does the Poly tower have a dedicated bus stop or do they share with the Poly. I love the speculation!

Poly tower is part of the Poly resort, so it shares all transportation with the rest of the Poly, both cash and DVC.

Yeah, hard to tell exactly what that area will ultimately look like but it wouldn't surprise me if the rather large Lakeside Lodge bus stop (big red circle below) were to become the Settlement Depot stop (smaller red circle) for the FW buses - both are very close. Although none of plans seem to show modifications to that current small bus loop - only the road right there which will have new access control gates (probably to prohibit both LL and FW guest vehicular access to each area).

As usual, a big "who knows" caveat to the above as things can always change

Did not know that - would be a great addition and needed!

Disney Lakeshore Lodge Pool Plans Revealed: Lazy River, Splash Pad, and More

Disney is planning an expansive pool area at the upcoming Lakeshore Lodge, offering a mix of relaxation and family-friendly water activities.

According to WDWMAGIC sources familiar with the plans
, the Disney Vacation Club Resort hotel is expected to feature both a main feature pool and a leisure pool, with the feature pool set to be a standout attraction offering a range of experiences.

The standout addition to the resort's pool complex will be a lazy river, making Lakeshore Lodge only the second Walt Disney World hotel to offer one, following the Yacht & Beach Club. The feature pool will also include a zero-entry design for easy access, water slides, and a splash pad for the children's play area. Positioned near the lake and nestled behind the main hotel building, the pool area is expected to offer scenic waterfront views.

Disney has not yet officially confirmed the full details of the pool complex, but with construction moving forward, more information is expected in the coming months.

More Beach Blocked During Latest Lakeshore Lodge Construction Update

More beach has been blocked, more walls have been installed, and another flying dumpster was spotted during our latest photo update of the construction on the new Lakeshore Lodge at Walt Disney World.

The construction site for the Lakeshore Lodge is bustling with several cranes by the lake, trees standing tall in the background, and a clear blue sky above.

Most of the construction on the new Lakeshore Lodge can be seen from across Reflections Lake. Several tall cranes are still in place to move supplies. Since permits for the resort mention a 10-story hotel, it is likely that these cranes will remain in placefor the near future.

Large cranes tower over the construction site near Lakeshore Lodge, with trees and machinery in the background beneath a clear sky.

Each of the tall buildings was originally built as a separate structure, and work began in early February to connect each structure together into one unified resort. However, the buildings are all still at different heights, with this one having just finished installing the roof of the second floor. The red scaffolding to the right of this building is all new.

Construction update: The site near the water is bustling with activity as a crane lifts materials. Scaffolding and partially built structures rise against a backdrop of trees and clear sky, while access to the beach is temporarily blocked for safety.
As we moved past, another flying dumpsterwas spotted being dangled from a crane. Several construction crew members were standing below to help lower the dumpster into the correct place.

A large red crane operates near construction materials by a waterfront at Lakeshore Lodge Construction, with trees and buildings in the background under a clear sky.

Over in the next area, construction is not nearly as far along. Only short white beams have been installed in the earth so far, with many materials staged nearby for future use.

The construction site by a river, nestled near a forested area, buzzes with cranes and equipment as part of the latest construction update.
Yellow barriers still float in the lake surrounding all of the construction. These barriers will prevent any construction materials from accidentally floating too far away.

Moving to the most-completed section of building, this area has already completed the majority of the second floor and has prepped work on the third floor.

A partially built structure rises on the riverbank, surrounded by piles of sand and construction vehicles. A crane stands tall on the right under a clear sky, hinting at the transformation into a future Lakeshore Lodge.
Much of the metal scaffolding in this area is new, and many construction crew members were working on the walls as we passed.

Beside the tranquil lakeshore, a bustling construction site emerges with cranes and machinery, shaping a partially built structure under a clear sky.

Several trucks and construction vehicles are parked at this far end near the water. Construction crew members were walking on top of the third floor and near the crane on the right.

The bench area near the beach has now been blocked, leaving only the seating area near the fishing check-in building available for Fort Wilderness guests to enjoy. A majority of the land to the right is piled with uneven dirt.

Love DVC and I’m an owner. But this looks like another “mail it in” design akin to the Riviera and Poly Tower. Hard pass. I’ll keep buying resales of the classic properties when Disney actually cared about theming.
I don't think we can really appreciate what the resort is going to be at this point. I'll wait until its finished.
