Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Coming to former Reflections Site in 2027!

It looks to be 6 or 7 stories. Pretty much the same height as Wilderness Lodge. Also will be on the natural lake not the artificial one so no sightlines from Magic Kingdom just like you cannot really see WL from MK either.
6 or 7 would be great!!!
Unfortunately it makes more profit if it is 10. :(

Just counting off the picture I just saw 7. 10 is also still defined as mid-rise. The top end of mid, but mid. The location is out of the way to the majority of guests. Not sure how big of an issue this one is truly going to be.

I read somewhere, can't remember where, that the number of floors cited in permits, etc. might be related to the height of the building based on some standard number of feet = one floor, even though the actual plans call for the number of floors to be fewer due to taller ceilings than standard. IOW, LL might be tall enough to accommodate 10 floors but will only have 6 or 7. Visually from outside, of course, it doesn't matter how many floors the interior has.

Just noting, while the temporary crane permits reference a 10 story building (the 2019 crane permits at the time also said the same thing, for what it’s worth), there has been no announcement or rendering to date (key word) which shows an actual 10 story structure. We don’t really know the level of specificity involved in FAA permits, if that includes mechanical rooftop floors, the topo of the site, if the small text description in the permits even has to be accurate, etc. Personally to me it looks like they’re building up the front entrance topo so the lobby will be on, say floor 2 or 3 that looks out towards the pool and lake, with the main section likely the tallest then it tiers down among the rather sprawling wings. No doubt this will be a visible resort, but to me it’ll likely end up feeling a little more wide than tall. We’ll see soon enough I guess!

Construction Begins on Second Floor of Disney Lakeshore Lodge

I don't doubt will have boat service to the MK. Probably another stop for the boat that goes to Ft Wilderness.

The sightline from the new resort should be good to see the high fireworks from the MK. Basically you will be looking between the Contemporary and BLT if my geography is correct.
Do you think there will be a Bay Lake Resort Boat circling the 4 Docks?

I just took the MK boat to Fort Wilderness to tour the CFW and spy on LSL. Holy cow is that resort going to be HUGE. It spans an incredible amount of shoreline and really meanders along the property line. IDK how they're going to fill that many rooms? I know Fort Wilderness fans are very loyal to the area, but this new property seems very out of sync and dominates the area. I definitely think they'll have to hit the pool and restaurants out of the park to sell it out.

We were just at WL and shared a few bus rides with the Ft W guests. One of them said that they were building two ten floor buildings with the lobby in the middle. They are concerned that the whole area will lose the rustic feel.

The view of the construction from the WL wasn’t too intrusive yet. The photo was taken on Tuesday from Geyser Point

I'm sure they've done a lot of 'market research' but who knows how accurate that is. I think that 'Riviera' still has a lot of units left, so they must think that people would be much, much more interested in LL. Maybe because it's in the MK area? I'm not in the market, but if I had to choose I'd much rather be a boat ride away from MK and the monorail to Epcot than have my options be the skyliner to DHS & Epcot and a bus everywhere else.

And as with all things Disney, it looks huge now, but who knows what the finished product will actually be.

I don't understand why Disney isn't building more hotels and timeshares? With the rates they are charging I would expect they would be able to pay off the construction loans and generating healthy profits in a few years.

It will be huge and much larger than the new Island Tower on the Seven Seas Lagoon. The Island Tower does not fit in and the Lakeshore Lodge will not fit into the shoreline of Bay lake as the Wilderness Lodge does.

It is an amusement park. Not a national park.

Do you think Lakeshore Lodge might share the boat dock with Fort Wilderness? The aerial view looks like Lakeshore Lodge is an extension of Fort Wilderness.

I'm excited for more food offerings. I don't like the new Trail's End. We frequently take the boat to the monorail resorts when we have the time and feel like quick service.

Yes, they will share the same dock.

I think that's the idea... and hoping they can somehow share the dues. ;)
