Just got a text from our dear friend Cammie. It seems she thought Joan sounded like so much fun she hopped on the first bus out to Nebraska to hang with her, she just couldn't wait for next May! It seems they are having a grand time out in the barn, simultaneously soaking their toes in and sucking up with straws the contents of a tub o' moonshine!

Oh! And Cammie wanted me to mention that her computer is on the fritz AGAIN and that is why she hasn't updated.

Well, I can honestly say I think I was at the MMM but I didn't take a single photo!!!!!

Seriously? What was in that slushy????? Or was it just that I was so hot that my clothes were permanently stuck to my body and I couldn't maneuver the camera out of my pocket?

It was so nice to meet everyone and to put a face with a name. I've had mini meets, kinda like where I decided to meet podsnel and then crash with her for three days..... you know, the standard DISmeet.....

After the meet, I wanted Ally to meet my favorite princess....

And she loved our flat kids, too!

As we left the meet, we agreed to stop into R&C to meet up with a few MMMers who wanted to get out of the heat and enjoy a pint o ale. Turned out to be a much longer stay than we had planned, but so much fun!!!!

And it turned out to be Norway's equivalent of our Independence Day and they were doing some serious celebrating. And I"m guessing they chose R&C because the Kringla bakery just didn't seem to be the hoppin place for a celebration like this! I think Ellen may have gotten a pic of these guys, but by the time I peeled the camera off my sweaty hips, they had dispersed. I'm assuming these were all Norwegian CMs?

Let's just say I have a new respect for the Norwegians........

I learned something else this day, too. Ellen makes friends wherever she goes. Seriously. This woman can sit on a bar stool and talk to her beer and have a good time! Or she can chat up the overly pierced person that Cammie and I were eyeing from afar, and come back with a story that only Ellen can tell! So I'll leave that to her. Suffice it to say, that since watching Ellen in action, I now talk to strangers, too, much to Ally's dismay......

I am LOVING this report! I can only dream of the day when I get to take a trip with just girls (Oh wait I did that with my mom and best friend in January). Wish there was a major Dis Meet going on then!

Well as usual - I'm fashionably late with my updates. As Ellen said, I've had major computer problems once again. The darn thing has been acting wonky for weeks and finally had someone look at it - it had over 80 viruses!!!! Don't ask me how; I am clueless with all things computer-related. I'm really not as dumb as I seem though. I can change my daughter's trach and g-tube; just can't figure out how to trouble-shoot computer issues. Well, at least my brain retains the important stuff!

So my post will go backwards slightly. I left off with Kara and I arriving at Epcot the afternoon of the DIS meet. We had yet to meet up with Ellen and Lonnie. Got some good shots of the floral displays from the monorail:

We disembarked the monorail and headed thru the front gates. Kara and I decided to have some fun with the floral displays and "our kids":

A photopass photographer saw us planting our kids in the dirt and got a kick out of it. He graciously offered to take some shots for us:

Now, it was on to World Showcase - one of my favorites spots in all of WDW! Wonder why? Could it be because of these wonderful offerings?

It was a steaming hot muggy day and the Fiesta Margarita was just what the doctor ordered!

At this point, Kara took off to run an errand and I walked on to Germany. I was so happy to see one of my favorite princesses, and Amanda's, greeting guests outside. She happily posed with my kids:

Next - a "MUST-DO" snack in Germany - A PRETZEL!

And just to bust my daughter Lauren's chops - because it is her favorite snack in all of Disney - I had the CM strike a pose to make her jealous:

Kara and I met up again and waited for Lonnie and Ellen to arrive. It was time to make our way over to France for the DISmeet. On the way, we met some famous people.

First, in Japan..............the Renfroes!

Then in Morocco, Princess Jasmine. Who, I must admit, had a stick up her butt about posing with our kids on a stick. Lighten up, Jas!

Next stop -- FRANCE!
Next drink - Alcoholic Slushies!!!!

As soon as we hit France, we made our way right over to the kiosk for some beverages:

As we gathered up with our fellow DISers, we noticed Sleeping Beauty posing in the garden. Photo opp!

Now I'm sorry to say I didn't take any pix during the meet except for this one of Kara and Lonnie:

I guess I figured since there were photopass people I would just get copies so Ellen - listen up! I need copies of some of these photos you posted!

After the DISmeet, some of us decided to continue the party and headed acrosse the bridge into England's Rose & Crown:

Alan provided some entertainment. I believe this is the "I'm a Little Teapot" dance.:

I guess there's just something about being in an English pub that makes you want to break out this dance!

She's such a sweet girl. She actually purchased a gift for my daughter for me to bring home. Lauren is now very determined to come the next time so she can meet Juliana her self.

And I cannot leave out her brother Will, who did a wonderful job of putting up with us all and serving as our photographer:

And, oh yes, it needs to be mentioned that we were not the only crazy group of people partying at the Rose & Crown. It seems that this day was also Norway's Independence Day - or something. Whatever - there were a bunch of Norwegians running around drinking and singing for some reason. In suits. Very funny!

We did not get to spend nearly enough time together with our fellow DISers. But being the good DISers that we were, we all had plans and ADRs that had to be kept. So we all went off in our own direction. It was so fun meeting everyone and I look forward to doing it again soon one day.

The DISmoms exited Epcot and headed back to AKL to freshen up. While I appreciated not having to deal with a bus, because Lonnie and Ellen had drove, I DID NOT appreciate the walk through the parking lot. Too hot and too far to walk. YES - I was a cranky pants about this. Look how far we had to walk................

And what made it worse - Lonnie couldn't remember what row the car was in! Aaaaaaah!

YAY!!!!! You're BACK!!!!!!! I'm so glad you have a computer again- it is DEVASTATING for us ALL when you are computer-less!!!

So glad you got a pic of those Norwegians- they were a RIOT!!! I have maybe 2 seconds of them singing to post- I am actually BEHIND you both in updates now!!! But I REALLY need to exercise & pack 2day, so I'll do my best.

And it wasn't just that we forgot where the car was- it's also that her car looks exactly like every other car in the parking lot- is it grey? Is it green? We STILL don't know!!!

But did you really think it was that far to walk??? It was like 1/2 of a hallway at your beloved BWV!!!

But what beautiful princesses that day. Snow White looks gorgeous, as does Aurora..... Oh, to be young and skinny again......

Glad your computer is somewhat back to normal.... I'm sure your ears have been burning, what with Ellen talking trash all this time!!!
