Mmmm, my mouth is watering looking at that sushi right now! My friend Katie made me try eel the other night when we went out to a Japanese steakhouse and I fell in love with it! SO GOOD! The wine doesn't sound half bad either!

Ellen, I'm convinced that it's your camera. I don't look nearly that bad when I'm captured on my camera. Wait, maybe it's that DELETE button! But mine appears to have been securely tucked in my pocket all night because I don't have a single pic of anything that night!

So maybe I'll do a little song and dance instead.... use your imagination..... okay, was that entertaining?

I had a blast atop the Contemporary - I hadn't been there since my honemoon in 1998, the trip where I actually discovered sushi for the first time!

No, didn't eat all my eel that night - I think the sun and the heat did a number on me that day because I just didn't have much of an appetite. And for that reason, I was afraid to drink wine. Wine can have a nasty effect on me if I'm not careful.... so Captain's and diet coke it was for me!

And I really can't believe how we scored that table by the window!!! Guess we've been livin right, huh?

Yea- the whole place was clearing out and we were like, "So do you think they''l do wishes at 11:00???" "Of course! Let me get you another bottle to help you pass the time!" And my DS12 LOVES those zebra domes- I'm not crazy about them, but I'm not big on sweets, so that's probably why. Most people LOVE them! And they are only sold at AKV at the Mara or Boma...or free in Concierge...

He WAS very nice to help me with my pins. He was a great kid, and I'm sure he actually IS a Gifted One! Really, he's a kid playing in an adult band as the regular drummer! It's pretty impressive.

I love eel sushi- it is delicious! I think that and yellow tail are my favorites- oh, and Toro. Toro is KING!

See, Ellen is part of Who's Who at WDW so she's got pull. She just marched her happy behind up to the desk and told them we were going up for drinks. She did not ask, she just told the gal, and gave her the look..... no way was that CM stopping us. Not when Eager Ellen was in the lead!!!!

We woke up on Monday morning, May 18th, all bright-eyed and bushy tailed, UBER excited to head over to DAK and escort our friend Cammie onto her FIRST EE Ride!! Our plan was for Cammie, Kara and I to head over to DAK for the morning, while Lonnie lounged by the pool at AKV and then we would all meet up at EPCOT at 12 for lunch at Le Cellier. Lonnie, who gets motion sickness, had braved EE twice in a row last year with me, and although LAST YEAR she was all proud of herself andd giggly about it, THIS year she informed me she was horribly nauseous after riding and would NEVER do it again! Hmmmm....

I'm just sayin.......

Well, while we were getting ready for TODAY'S expedition, we grabbed coffee and breakfast from the concierge lounge right outside our door- there were pastries, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, donuts, quinoa, fresh juices....plenty to fill up on. Very convenient. NO cappaccino, the machine was STILL broken. The concierge at AKV is DEFINITELY worth the extra points (especially in a studio) as long as you don't have your heart set on balcony sitting and animal viewing, because the view is not that great.

The three of us hopped the bus and were in AK in no time. My AP did not scan me into the park, so they just waved me through. I should have paid more attention to that, but I didn't! It would come back to haunt me later....We made a beeline for EE, but first Cammie stopped to pick up FPs for a second ride. I had read on the DIS that it was possible to have 2 FPs per person by using your room key for one, and your KTTW card for the other (and it DOES work, because I have told friends about it and it has worked for them- but they were not DVC). So I figured it would work with an AP and a DVC room key, too. But, unfortunately, it did not. So Cammie got the 3 FPs and we got on line for her FIRST EE RIDE EVAAAAARRRRRR!!!!! This is where you can cue the chicken dance music. Because Cammie was doing just a little chicken dance in line. I think Lonnie repeatedly telling her, "No way, man, you'll never get me on that THING again!" did not help either. Again, I give you terrorized beyond all reason by EE last year Loni-

And our trailer trash pic! And can I just say- I LOVE this pic of Kara- doesn't she look like "WOOHOO!!! I LOVE LIFE!!!! IT'S SO FREAKIN' FUN!!!!" And that, my friends, is EXACTLY who Karajeboo IS. The woman dives right in, hands, head and feet first, full throttle!

WooHoo!!!! She did it!!! And she says she will never do it again!!!! Cammie did get a little sick from the ride, and although we were SO PROUD OF HER for braving it, we understood why she would not be doing it again. Oh well. Kara and I were going to use the FPs to ride again, and Cammie gave hers away to a happy recipient, and went off to do a little shopping for the girls. Kara and I went to get on the FP line, and GUESS WHAT???? My messed up AP had secured me a "this is not a fast pass" fast pass. Bummer. That's ok- we know we'll be back another time, so we found a happy recipent for Kara's FP- however, the woman was NOT all happy about it, she was very suspecting and wary of Kara's gesture. Yea, that's right- this is the kind of FP where you get to the top of the mountain and they Toss you off, lady! Looking back, I think we should have just gone on the ride, I bet the CM would have let me through, but hindsight IS always 20/20!

We made our way to the front of the park, and as we were walking, the skies began to darken....but we were able to get a few pics in before the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down in rushing, rising rivlets....

My boys are so happy to be here!

But it's very hot and muggy, so let's have a drink!

The photographer was very impressed by the DISmoms trip without the kids, so he had us send them a message-

As soon as we were done, we headed to the EPCOT bus (I LOVE that they have these direct buses from park to park now!) in a HURRY!! Because it was POURING!!! Not raining, it was MONSOON POURING!!!! Even standing in line under the overhang, every person was drenched. Well, I have one thing to say about that-

We'd better get used to it.

Next- our lunch in Canada!!!

Well, I probably DID just tell them we were going up- but that's because when I was there for dinner in November with my family, our waiter said you can ALWAYS go up to CG and order the full menu from either the bar or the lounge, and an ADR is not required. Sooooo....if you're up there and it's time for Wishes...well, that's pretty stinkin' cool!
