I know I'm going backwards but I had a few pix to post from our night enjoying the perks of concierge and at CG.

Lovely ladies.....

DSC04849.jpg

Don't be fooled by Kara's cup - it's not coffee; it's all liquor!

I was a good girl and sat quietly while enjoying the Disney Channel. Oh look who it is................

DSC04850.jpg

As Ellen already explained, we were thrilled to get our window seats at CG. I had always wanted to experience Wishes from here and was beyond excited.

We ordered our lovely bottle of wine.............

DSC04854.jpg

And waited. and waited. and waited.

No Wishes. But more ..........................

DSC04855.jpg

By the time 11:30 rolled around, we had glumly accepted the fact that Wishes was not to be! Our waiter was still trying to push more wine on us though. I think we were happy enough by this point...............

DSC04857.jpg

Oh well, I still got to see California Grill and now know it's do-able with my girls. I may try it in November.

We awoke the next morning to lovely weather, once again:

DSC04862.jpg

But the weather was not going to stop me from trying EE. So off we went.

I will admit, as we approached the ride, I was getting nervous. I'm not a lover of rollercoasters but I knew my daughter would NEVER get on this ride if I didn't check it out first. So it was my motherly duty.:snooty: Ellen and Kara were doing a very good job of calming my nerves and keeping things light.

Our turn was fast approaching. The CM posing with my kids:

DSC04867.jpg

Now I know Kara got a few pix of me on the ride and I was actually enjoying it at first. I stopped enjoying it when we went backwards.:scared: And I stopped enjoying it even more when we hit that last drop. :scared1:

It was worse than I thought it would be. And I now know, there's no way my 13yr.old would be attempting this ride anytime soon.

Yeah, I conquered it:
DSC04869.jpg

After my first ride, I had a slight headache so I passed on a second. While Ellen and Kara rode again, I went off and did what makes me feel better --
SHOP!

I picked up some gummy MM candies and Chip & Dale pretzels for the girls; along with some tshirts. By the time I was done, so were Kara and Ellen. It was time to head over to Epcot for our noon lunch at LeCellier.

Some parting photos from AK:

(Ellen - I LOVE that pic you have of us sticking our tongues out! How can I get a copy?)

Next up - a soggy, soaking wet afternoon at Epcot.

Rosie, I think I LOVE you!!!! It's not like I haven't laid awake nights thinking of how to spur her demise, but the only problem with EE is that even the Yeti wouldn't want her!!!!!

I DID NOT like Expedition Everest! :scared:

Next year, I'm staying at the freakin' pool with Lonnie!

Yes you did, you just don't realize it yet.... ;)

OK, I'll try not to duplicate, or triplicate, what my counterparts have said.

Woke up, overcast, 90% chance of rain. Off to AK.

No, Cammie wasn't afraid of EE at ALL!!!

AKCammieEE1.jpg

Even our fearless leader was shaking in her shoes!!!!

AKEllenEE.jpg

It's time, Cammie! Muahahahaha!!!!

AKCammieEE2.jpg

AKCammieEE3.jpg

I'm not sure if Cammie was really happy at this point, or just looking at me to avoid looking at how far up we were??? :rolleyes1

AKCammieEE4.jpg

AKCammieEllen.jpg

So when Ellen and I decided to try to use the fast pass that wasn't a fast pass to ride again, Cammie went off shopping. I think she was looking for the store that sold THIS!!!!

AKcrazy.jpg

I know she wanted to be stylin and profilin for her next trip! :rotfl2:

Ally loved EE too - and she actually rode it FIVE times in one day!!!! Yes, I did too, and as much as I love it, even five times was a bit much for me!!!

AKflatallyEE.jpg

Same pic, different camera!

AKflatkids.jpg

I think these were the last pictures of us WITHOUT ponchos!!!!

AKgirlsflatkids1.jpg

BTW, how is Lonnie's sunburn from laying by the pool this day??? :lmao:

Yea, we were SHOCKED you didn't like that ride! So you MUST be wrong, Cammie! Of COURSE you liked it!!!:rotfl2:

Cammie, thanks for taking more pics than me. I was feeling the effects of waking up waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too early 2 days in a row that night- actually, i think I WAS drinking coffee in the mug pic, even if Kara wasn't. And send me your email and I can send you the tongue photo. So weird- I have your phone #, I know where you live, but I don't have your email! :confused3

Did I mention I'm meeting Loni, her brother, Brandon and her older daughter, Lauren tomorrow in NYC? Hoping the rain is done by then- it's supposed to be bad today and tonight. Really looking forward to meeting her daughter who i haven't seen since she was about 2!!! She's leaving the littler DD at home with her Dad in Cherry Hill- she says Annie, DD5, has been very, very bad on their NJ visit, and she told her that NYC was CLOSED!!!!:rotfl2:

All caught up and just have to say, YEAH for Cammie. You're a trooper!
Also just read all of Cammie's TR w/the JB concert update....all great stuff. Thanks so much for sharing. Those pix with "the Jonai" are amazing.

I SO need a girls only trip sometime soon--this just feeds the fire! Keep those reports coming :)

I thought you should be nominated as Mom of the Year, but now I am CONVINCED! ;) :rotfl:

It really made you sick??? You look like you are having a blast in those pics!

Loving the trip... feel like i'm there with you guys maybe some day i will be...

Just caught up, phew! You guys rock! I'm so inspired to take a girls only trip. My friends and I have talked about it, but we've been worried we'd feel to guilty leaving the kids at home. I have to tell them about your flat kids - its perfect!

Hey everyone!! I'll be back soon with an update- just wanted to say I saw Lonnie & her beautiful (inside and out) daughter, Lauren yesterday! We met in NYC for the day, it was alot of fun. I'll tell you more about it later, but in the meantime just wanted to say-
Oh, Yes she DID!!!

Just a quick little mini TR about seeing Lonnie & DD12 on Friday. They are visiting Lonnie's Mom, Dad & bro in Cherry Hill, so they took the train into NYC- which gets there in 1 hr 40 minutes, I am SHOCKED!!:scared1: I can actually see NYC from a nearby high point (Cherry Hill is in SO. Jersey near Philly) and it takes me an hour on the train, so 1 hr 40 is AMAZING!!!! Anyway, I hooked up with them after they went up into the Empire State Building, which was a hassle but Lauren loved. We had to find some soup for Lauren (at Europa Cafe), as that is her only (almost) food group-

2009_072406summer0011.jpg

And Lonnie & I grabbed a hot dog and a papaya drink at Papaya Dog- great drink, not a great hot dog. Hopped into a cab and headed for the pier, Lauren's other request for the day was to ride in a boat around the Statue of Liberty so we were taking the 2 hour circle line. I have NEVER done this before (it's a tourist thing, and I feel like not a tourist:snooty: having grown up with NYC out my backdoor all my life) but it was really fun, and we learned alot- the announcer was incredible- we thought he was a recording, he had the greatest voice. The 2 hour tour goes around lower Manhatten and back- now I really want to do the 3 hour tour which circles the whole island. (Get it? Circle Line? Genius!) Lonnie was all ready to meet the great Lady in the river- well, I got her the props but she was VERY willing to use them.... She kept repeating, over and over, "See the statue- BE the statue!" :confused3:rotfl: Here she is practicing while we wait in line-

2009_072406summer0016.jpg

The Intrepid Museum is next door- something ELSE I have never been to-

2009_072406summer0046.jpg

I love my girlfriend. There are not too many 6 ft tall women willing to do this, I don't think! A few more, taken after the let down of realizing she was NOT the statue-

A very good sport, just like her Mom-

2009_072406summer0109.jpg

The Beast, a ride also offered by Circle Line and one I think my boys would enjoy. It goes 50 mph- I'll have to think about bringing them next month-

2009_072406summer0118.jpg

So I'm glad I was able to be a tourist with my out of town friend. I think the only way I ever see any of this stuff is when someone from out of town wants to go and I tag along!

Once we were off the boat, we got into a town car and headed back into midtown to get something to eat. He dropped us off on 36th (I was shooting for somewhere inbetween Penn Station and the Port Authority). Not a whole lot of restaurants around there (although a few blocks in either direction are a bunch) but we were fortunate to find a noodle shop- with SOUP!!!!:rotfl:

2009_072406summer0120.jpg

We enjoyed the Chinese food, but all too soon our day was over and it was on to trains and buses for us. I am so happy we spent the day together!!:yay:

Oh, and just to review...ONE DISmom thinks she is the Statue of Liberty-

2009_072406summer0047.jpg

And another one thinks she is Mary Poppins-

2009_062406summer0001.jpg

What does it all mean????? Where DO they get these CRAZY ideas from?????:confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

El - Thanks for inviting me back in, somehow I lost my way?:upsidedow

Have a lot to catch up on.......bbl.......

I miss New York City soooo much! :sad1:

And since we all seem to be posting mini-tr stuff, guess I will too.

Just wanted to share a photo of Lauren and I meeting the Jonas Brothers last week before the concert. July 17th is now known as the "best day of Lauren's life". :goodvibes

Don't we look like one big happy family? :cutie:

Just need to figure out a way to photoshop Amanda into this picture and I'll be making this baby our Christmas card! ;)
