@garneska Thanks for the heads up. I will go find a nice hilly backdrop for him to jump over and some other hill related articles. At least I can have some fun till I hit the mid century in Feb. Still trying to get a DVC trip in around that time to celebrate my own.

i am sure i mentioned this way in the beginning but we are celebrating a milestone birthday for Bert. For his 50th Bday he will be running a half marathon. I also just booked his Bday dinner at Takumi Tei in Epcot.

He's still a youngster.

Group HDDR
Reservation has been booked and I messaged everyone with the payment details as I had to pay it all in full to book it. @Disney Peach, it wouldn't allow me to message you so if you can please email arc@arcthames.com, I'll send you over my Venmo or whichever method you would prefer.

Fireworks Cruise
Still working the fireworks cruise, they haven't opened that for booking yet and we have to call in daily to check on it.

VIP tour info:
Most affordable day is 11/6 at $600 an hour. Max is a group of 10 w/a minimum of 7 hours. Grand total would be $4,200 and, if we had 10 people interested, that would make it $420/ea. Not a must do but if you have interest in that, let me know and we can book it. Would obviously have to decide on times, parks, rides, etc. as a group.

DIZ-MEET:
1. We plan to attend several days and/or evenings of the event.
. . . We already made park admittance reservations for MK & EP
. . . Others who want to visit parks should make reservations each desired park
. . . We are volunteer General Election Poll Workers (5:00a-8:00p), so won't attend Tuesday.
2. Being proud ClubD3 Members, we shall visit EPCOT with bama_ed and wife
. . . We plan to sample several of the food booths
. . . We plan to "Drink Around The World", as much as old-folks can
3. For those not aware, ClubD3 is the "Disney Day Drinking" club (ClubD3.com)
. . . Started during COVID and now has over 100,000 free members.
. . . They have club merchandise and their own beverage (Binny Brew Florida Ale)
. . . Their motto, "You can't drink all day, if you don't start in the morning .".

4. For the Pot Luck, we will bring an ENTREE (don't want an excess of deserts).
. . . Beatleslover's (Mrs. Rusty) Someday-Famous Sloppy Joe's
. . . Buns
. . . Toppings (chopped onions, grated cheese, etc)
. . . Chips (or other side munchie)
. . . Paper plates and plastic utensils
. . . Self-adhesive name tags
5. We would like to attend the group HDDR show, but:
. . . we saw it March-2024 my 75th birthday
. . . we think attending once-per-decade is enough

We are truly looking forward to the DIZ-MEET.
Look for a more posts (here) from us in the next week-or-so.

I am thinking part of my contribution will be "jungle fruit salad"...ok...admittedly without the jungle fruit... and bowls to serve in....

@Bishoparc i think we are out for the fireworks cruise. Will consider the VIP tour but uff that is steep. Now the rig is in the shop so all our plans are kind of up in the air. We will be at Disney just not exactly sure where, but hopefully in a full hookup site.

Definitely going to check out Club D3 (Benita says as she sips on a whiskey blackberry bramble)

LOL I guess I was in Club D3 long before it ever formed....

OK, APs for Melissa and I are secured, so that is off our plate. We have 2, possibly 3 trips this year so they will pay for themselves quickly.

I think I am in D2 that's drinking before I get in the parks.........

I am still reviewing the rules.

-.You should always start in Mexico when drinking around the world.

-. You should always start in Canada when drinking around the world

-.You should always start in France when drinking around the world.

-. You should always start in UK when drinking around the world.

There is more but I am studying for the final exam.

The last point bears repeating:

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

It's a good thing membership is free...

I recall one year I posted for a day on FB as me and some racing framily enjoyed having a 'slush' or similar mixed drink from every country as we walked. After Canada we managed to find a frozen mojito for our walking out drink after Illuminations. A friend commented on my post and asked how are we still standing.

Someone else in our party stated "we're professionals", and that describes how I know most of my closest racing friends are just drinking buddies with a racing problem.....

When I did the Dopey in 2015, I ran with 3 other girls from home, their first Disney races…. On the marathon’s final stretch thru Epcot, I steered them off course to the frozen margarita stand. lol, we were like rockstars coming thru at that point, toasting the crowds & each other across the finish line!

@Bishoparc, I never got a message re paying you for HDDR …..Did I make the cut (no worries if I didn’t, just want to be sure!)
Thanks!

If we didn't, I am sure you can get a spot. With this many people it should be a hoot. People that are missing it, Bama Ed, etc, will never live this one down..............

I am so looking forward to this! I will most likely be traveling solo (but with my dog, Irish!).

I was born to be in D3. I follow the group on Instagram but don't know much else. What days are y'all doing each park? I'd love to tag along to EPCOT with this crew.

Let me think on what I can contribute for the potluck. I do make really great chocolate chip cookies if we don't have too many desserts already.

I'd love to do the VIP tour but I don't think I can leave Irish for that long. Huge bummer because a VIP tour is on my Disney bucket list.

I also scored a Victoria & Albert's dinner - I'm hoarding by sitting on 2: One for Thursday, one for Friday and trying to decide which to keep.

Nov 7 is our Epcot/D3 day. Just the way our schedule worked out that the parks were later in our stay and we leave for home on Nov 8.

But in case anyone gets rowdy because they had too much strawberry shortcake, you can use your one permitted phone call to ring me to come bail you out. :cool2:

Anybody up for a Whispering Pines evening? I love the atmosphere there and the food options for a snack or desert are good.

Don't know if it is worth an ADR now. We have been able to get a walk up spot most evenings. Especialling in the Fall.
j

@Teamubr Do you mean Whispering Canyon? (never heard of whispering pines).

I would be down, though if its a nice day/night might enjoy Geyser Point bar and grill a bit more.
