Hey Dis Members,

I just canceled my reservations for a FHU Nov. 2 - Nov. 9. We hated to do this but sometimes life gets in the way. Hopefully one of y'all can grab some extra days or a complete vacation.
Been there.....

Where is everyone trying to get for ADRs? I don't really have any places I "have to have".

I like a good steak. Yachtsman and Le Cellier are pretty good. I've heard Shula's is great, but never been there. California Grill was good. Pricey, but the view and atmosphere is worth it.

I may have to get serious about looking. My window doesn't open until next week.

Most of the food around WDW is 'meh'.

But we like the Grand Floridian Cafe because it has a mix of breakfast and lunch food at both the breakfast and lunch meal times.

DW is more of a breakfast girl and I am more of a lunch guy so this fits our style.

Plus it affords us a boat ride to MK, a monorail ride to GF, and maybe a monorail to Poly for sightseeing, then small boat ride to MK and another small boat ride to FW.

That's a great morning in my book. ::yes::

We like the rose and crown, food is decent enough. We never tried to book it to be there for the fireworks show.

Ok we just booked the fantasmic show with dinning at the sci fi theater. Figured just me and my daughter for the show and the cost to have unlimited drinks at the rose and crown wasn't worth it for a 12 year old. Plus she rather eat a cheeseburger.

I never ate at Rose and Crown. I'm not a fan of English cuisine... And, perhaps, calling it cuisine is a stretch. :rotfl2: I might have to give it a try.

We did do Chefs de France for deserts after the EPCOT fireworks. That was a great way to let the crowds clear out before we left.

We will all be there during EPCOTS Food and Wine Festival.

This was just posted with menus and prices.

Looks like some pretty good offerings this year.

Agreed!
Three new booths Forest & Field, Bramblewood, and Mulled & Milled look especially yummy!

I plan to do most of my special eats/ grazing at the Food & Wine, so no ADRs for me!

Speaking of ADRs:

Hoop de Do revue: If booking for the Tues, Wed, or Thur, please count me in, but no worries if a diff date works better for others who really really really want it!

MK Fireworks Cruise: if we’re a party of ten, count me in (a smaller party = more $$$ which makes it hard for me to justify!). I’m flexible on the date except not that weekend, (will be back at the Fort Nov 11- 24).

And, for both of these, if the numbers just don’t work out to include me, no worries!

Ok so for HDDR we have
@Part-Time Paradise(2 adults, 2 children)
@Bishoparc
@Teamubr (3 adults)
@jbrostek (1 adult)
@BenitaN (2 adults)
@tripleb
@Boomer1 (2 adults)
@Disney Peach (1 adult)
@Sjm9911 (2 adults, 1 kid)
@MrsPAHunter (1 adult)
So for me Thursday 11/7 works. If this is ok with most or all we can chose a time and section. I think 4pm time is not great, so we have 615 or 830 to pick from. The categories for the dinner show are basicly floor seating ( best ) for about 74$ or balcony for 5 dollers less. I suggest the floor seating. Especially with the larger group. Any other thoughts welcome.
@Sjm9911 Anything individual families need to do on this?

Not really a huge list for us. The kids have said 50's Prime Time is a must. Maybe Tony's or the Plaza for a nice place to take a break on a late MK evening. Also eyeing a Homecomin' reservation for the day we arrive because we always run over to DS the first day because we have to activate our Salute tickets and prefer not to do it at the first park's box office.

The big reservation that we have to make is Behind the Seeds. Kids and DW (green thumb of the family) love Living with the Land and the tour wasn't running last time we were at WDW.

I am putting something together for the DIS Meet and would like to know everyone's hometown and state. I have met many of you at prior DIS Meets and know where some of you live, but please let me know in the next few weeks. You can post on here, if you are comfortable or send me a PM and I'll keep it confidential.

Thanks,

j

I was waiting on @Bishoparc for direction, I started the HDD because I thought I would help get orginized. But then this was stated, and as it's not my Dismeet, I was waiting for diections......... give it untill Tuesday and we can make a final decision. I am anxious also, as it effects what we are planning. Bit I think sice everyone is good on the date it should be a go? IDK.......

Ok, getting caught up on all the posts. Please contact me for premium sites to be linked. We still need someone that has a full site to volunteer to link those reservations together. @tigger92662 has a premium site so he can't do that. Will get back with everyone on the HDDR and fireworks cruise soon.

Sounds like the Dis Meet is upon y'"all! Wish I could be there to see everyone & enjoy Disney World. Have a great time!

Thanks, Gloria. We will miss seeing you! I hope we will come thru TX some day and invite you to lunch.

With regard to ADR's, we have two resort reservations (back to back) with the shorter one first and the longer one second. We made one ADR already based on the 60+ rule for the 1st ressie but could not do more until we technically hit the 60-day window of the 2nd reservation.

I spoke of the Grand Floridian Cafe with its brunch menu for breakfast and lunch but we actually got a dinner ressie there *all entrees* which gives us flexibility to visit the other monorail resorts before-or-after. I will have done the Wine & Dine 10k (6.2 miles for those of you in Lee County, AL) that morning and should have an appetite by that night!

So far so good.

Bama Ed

PS - plus would like to get to Geyser Pt at some time during our stay (no ADR's for it, don't ya know :rolleyes1).

Will you be here on 11/7? Not sure if you got the extra day? I can add you to the 11/7 tentative unless changed hoop de do list? To be determined on Tuesday? And if so how many people?
