DISing Weightloss Club

Afternoon everybody. Well I have started the day off right with a bowl of Special K for breakfast and a small glass if skim milk, let's hope I can keep it up. I will be venturing out to the mall tonight to pick up Enchanted and that means encountering the dangers of Orange Julius and those oh so yummy smoothies. :rotfl:

My tempations at the mall is Auntie Anne's pretzel shop!! It is so hard to say no to the pretzel sticks that smell so good!! I was going to start off hte morning with a small bowl of cereal until I realized the milk guzzler in our family had downed it before I got to it and didn't tell anyone! So I had to settle for a mini bagel. I was looking forward to my corn flakes and banana..lol..Oh well I get to have it tomorrow!! Tonight we are cooking on the George Foreman so I have no worries really about dinner!! :rotfl:

I love my Foreman grill! I am hopeless when it comes to cooking but the grill makes it really easy plus it drains out all that extra fat! It's really gross making hamburgers on it though as I can't believe all the bad stuff it grills right out of it, I can't believe I was eating that before! :rotfl:

I drink tons of water but the bathroom part is a pain in the neck - especially during the night.

The mall is evil in terms of temptation! :laughing:

Love my George Forman also - was planning on a burger tonight. :)

I had Special K bars for both breakfast and lunch today so I'm really looking forward to a "real" dinner.
 

Thanks everyone for the welcome. So far today I am doing great with the water and would really like to get in a 30 minute walk on the treadmill tonight. I can't wait for our weather to warm up so I can do my walking outdoors.

I haven't walked in forever so I really need to get up and get moving !!
 
Hi everyone :wave: Can I join all of you? I have been lurking and I really need some motivation. You are all so positive!


I need to loose 35 to 40 pounds. I do pretty good with the exercise part, its the portion control. I really have trouble knowing when I am full. I hope that is something that I can learn....Right now at dinner time I am putting the proper portions on my plate. When I am done, I leave the rest of the family and go away from the kitchen. It is soooo hard!


But, I go on the computer :disrocks: and after about 45 minutes, everyone else is done eating and I have better control over myself.

I hope I can keep it up.
 
Golfing Goofy - I struggle with my portion control as well as snacking !! Hopefully if I remain aware of it - it will get better !

Way to go everyone. You are all having a better day then me!! I have to say that I went to costo yesterday and got a new bathing suit. Let's just say it does not look good. And today I had myself a Klondike bar. (bagel for lunch and sandwich for lunch with an apple) So not horrible but not my best day.

Anyone seen my water....I have not. :lmao: I even said I need to drink water today and still have only had one glass. going to fill up now!!

Welcome! :goodvibes I love that we're getting more in our group :) On Friday I'll start a list on the main page of everyone and how much we've lost.

I think portion control is something that the majority of Americans suffer from. I somewhat blame it on restaurants. They're crazy! And growing up, my parents put a lot on my plate and I just ate it (and sometimes went back for seconds if it was really yummy). I've gotten much better about it, but I'm still not perfect.

I got my walk in today and I ate well. Last night I must confess that I had some popcorn. It's not allowed in Phase 1 of SB, but 94% fat free popcorn IS allowed on WW core program so I let myself have it. WW's core is basically a version of the low/healthy carb diet anyway.

I didn't drink a lot of water today, but that's because I had to take my youngest to the hospital for a procedure (and drive in Baltimore - such fun). We were gone for 4 hours and I didn't want to have to pee the entire time. But, I'll drink more tonight.

I have found, I never know when I am full, so I go by when I am no longer hungry. I eat slower, and have learned to recognize when my body is no longer "needing" food. ALWAYS harder when it's something I love.

Cool DIS as diet aid idea. Hmmmmmm..... :scratchin

Icecream use to be a big weakness of mine. I'd buy a pint of Ben and Jerry's and eat it in one sitting. For some reason, I've stopped buying it the past couple of years and I don't really crave it like I use to. I think living in Australia kind of turned me off of it a bit because all of their dairy products taste differently than ours. I think it's perhaps what the cows eat? :confused3

Thanks same to you!! I go through my day on my diet and eating healthy and think to myself, I hope my DIS friends are doing good today or what are they doing? lol And this usually happens as I pick up my bottled water and gulp it down! :rotfl:
